Poll: Well, most of my old stories are dead in the water to be honest. I think I was a very different person when I wrote many of them. Now, though, I am filled with new ideas. My question is this: which one would you like to see written first? Keep in mind that it will then become my main focus and I will write nothing else. Vote Now!

Author has written 15 stories for Harry Potter, X-overs, Sims, Twilight, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, and X-Men: Evolution. Greetings! I am Rainy Ravenclaw! Welcome to my world of wacky, weird, and wonderful stories accompanied by my fabulous favorites and some amazing authors. Kick back and relax, grab a book, and get lost for awhile! Enjoy your stay, night or day. Oh, and don’t be afraid to leave me a PM in the communications journal or post a review on the bulletin board by the door! I’m always open to any constructive words to improve my writing, plot, and characterization. Wow... this is really something... 9 years on this site and I’ve not added a thing to my bio... (sigh) Well, as of August 13 2018 this is no longer the case. I find myself on the brink of a new adventure as I transfer universities and pursue a Psychology major. I decided to write a bio now as I have made the choice to change my pen name. Over the nine years I’ve been here, I’ve called myself a number of things. Posatron Lily Incarnate Lady Jade Scribbler Jade Scribbler And now... Rainy Ravenclaw As I grow and/or change as a person, I feel that the names I call myself online fit less and less properly to my personality and goals. My previous pen name, Jade Scribbler, evoked feelings of one who did things without thought, writing everything at a frenetic pace with no idea what it will turn into. The personal jibe of “Scribbler” was coupled with the nervous energy of one who fears failure and that her works are no better than scribbles. As Rainy Ravenclaw, I am more calm and content, careful but creative. I write for me, first and foremost. If nobody likes my ideas or I feel that they don’t meet my continuously strict standards down the line, that’s okay. I need not justify my writing pace or style to myself or others, (particularly myself). Things will come when they come and writing is always a process of growth, for work, school, or fun. Favorites Harry Potter My absolute favorite. This is why I joined FFN in the first place! I’ve found so many awesome stories on here! Katekyo Hitman Reborn Sorry to offend but I haven’t found and watched the anime yet and, because I’m blind, I can’t read the Manga since I’ve not found it in an accessible form. I’m most familiar with it through authors like SakuraDemonAlchemist and brilliant masterpieces like Umei No Mai’s Black Sky. MCU and X-Men My familiarity is still a bit lacking Percy Jackson/The Lost Hero series I still need to finish reading The Lost Hero series and reread the PJO series again. I love the thought of moder-day demigods, though. The Lord of the Rings series, Especially the Hobbit; I still need to read the rest. Naruto I’ve not got around to watching the anime but I’m still very fond of this blond ball of demon-caging sunshine! :) He’s so damn sweet despite everything... As much as I love Harry Potter, Naruto had the shittier childhood by far. Twilight But only sometimes when I feel like messing around with it. I just can’t take it seriously. A twilight fic has to become pretty AU before I’ll read it, for the most part.’ Other stuff I love Video games Yeah, a blind lady plays video games. DEAL WITH IT!!! :) Seriously, though, I do have some useful vision. I don’t want to think about how much loving my nose has given my computer and TV screens over the years but I wouldn’t trade a second of it. Favorite Games The Sims franchise I remember my first Sims game... I was about fifteen and had rented The Sims Bustin’ Out for Game Cube at, if you can believe it, Blockbuster. Sims games were the first I owned for my PS2 and, later, for my PC. In fact, they’re pretty much all I play on PC. I love creating characters and playing God, seeing how they succeed and fail... I guess that’s the psychologist in me. LOL! I own all of The Sims 2, all but a few stuff packs and most store items for Sims 3, and all but two stuff packs for The Sims 4. I still hope to get The Sims Collection so I have the original game as well, since I’ve never played its PC version. Lego games Yes, you read right, Lego games. See below for how much I LOVE Lego, a new hobby as of 2017. This all stemmed from PS4 Lego games like Lego Marvel Super Heros, Lego Harry Potter Collection, and several more which I own. These are fun and fantastic games which have the added bonus of something I can easily play with my niece. Score! No Man’s Sky I know a lot of people will hate on me for this but I liked NMS since release. It gave me exactly what I was expecting. It had flaws but so does any game. As of the Next update, I’m blown away with how much they’ve added in two years at no cost to players. I wish more devs were like Hello Games. Harvest Moon/Rune Factory series I love these games; they were some of the first I ever played. I still own all that I bought aside from Rune Factory Frontier, I believe. I love basically all home console releases from Save The Homeland through to Animal Parade. Stardew Valley Ah, yes... The spiritual successor to the Harvest Moon games of my teenhood. I was thrilled that I didn’t have to break out my WII or PS2 to play a good HM style game. I love Stardew Valley so much I bought it on PS4 and the Nintendo Switch. My Time At Portia This is another fun game. It’s still on Steam early access and is my first prerelease title. I love it, though. It’s in much the same spirit as Harvest Moon and Stardew Valley with a much larger emphasis on building and crafting. Minecraft I’m less fond of this game than I used to be as I’ve grown kind of bored with it. However, PC mods are still fun and I’ve built some pretty cool things. Dragon Quest Builders I’ve not gotten too far in this game but I love the mix of Minecraft-style graphics, item crafting, RPG elements, and city building with cute Harvest Moon-esque neighbors thrown in! Animal Crossing/Animal Crossing City Folk I adore Nintendo’s Animal Crossing games. The original Game Cube version was one of my first games and I was very fond of it. It’s so simple, slow, and charming the way that the game reflects rthe real-world time and day. Super Smash Brothers: Melee Ah... the game that started it all!!! This game came bundled with my first console, the Nintendo Game Cube. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Mario Kart Wii I love Mario Kart! Enough said... both of these are fantastic games which are great for all ages. :) Super Mario Odyssey I adore this game, it’s a total blast! I’ve barely made it past Sand kingdom but that’s only because I’m a total completionist and MUST get all the power moons!!! Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild I totally love this game... even if I suck at it! RPGs are pretty tough with my vision what with knowing where to go, what to do, and if I’m about to get my butt kicked by an archer standing on a distant ridge. Even so, I love Breath of the Wild. It’s so beautiful and fun to explore. I’ve still not made it off the Great Plateau but that’s okay. Others I’ve played other games but I can’t remember them right now. This list should about cover things. :) Lego Yeah, I build Lego sets. The funny thing is that I never played with Lego when I was a kid. I got into them thanks to the Lego games for PS4 I mentioned above. It all started with my mom’s Christmas present to me, Lego Star Wars The Force Awakens Deluxe Edition for the PS4. It came with a minifig of Fin, the storm trooper turned good guy in the movie. I built it and was like “Hey, I can build Lego!” On a whim, I baught the Lego Dimensions starter kit for the PS4 in February of 2017. It took me hours to put together that silly, simple portal... but it was awesome!!! I expanded into Creator 3-in-one sets and it all ballooned from there. I’ve now built several sets over 1000 pieces. My faorite themes are the Creator 3-in-one, Creator Expert, Ideas, Ninjago because my mom knows my aesthetic set tastes better than I do, and now the new Lego Harry Potter line reboot! YAY! They’re releasing a HUGE 6020 piece Hogwarts set in a few weeks and I WILL own it!!! :) KHR (unofficial quiz) Flame Type: Rain (Or perhaps Rainy sky...?) I don’t know about the sky part but definitely rain. :) Hogwarts House: Ravenclaw (with Gryffindor tendencies) Ilvermorny House: Pukwudgie Wand: Redwood and Phoenix Feather, 14.5 inches, solid Patronus: Hedgehog or grass snake... I should not have taken the Pottermore test on my phone, the print was too small and the timer ttoo fast... I’ll update this later! :) |
