Author has written 7 stories for Lord of the Rings, X-Men: The Movie, Spider-Man, Firefly, and Avatar: Last Airbender.

Alright, time for an update (who even reads this stuff?)

My name's Carrie. I'm 20 and I'm a certified poor college student who continually chooses to blow off her studies for writing.

(Believe me, when you get to college, you'll be skimping on your studying, too...)

I write my own original stuff from time to time, but I really love fanfiction because I get to try and make original story lines out of pre-existing characters and plots

which can be a challenge. Plus, I love seeing how close I can get to writing characters in character.

So far, my areas of fanfiction focus have been Lord of the Rings, Firefly and, most notably, X-Men (which people seem to like better than my other stuff.)

So now what, you may ask?

Well, here's what's on the agenda lately:

1.) I've started my first ever collaborative story! Yes, that's right! My very good friend, sirwritesalot (the creator of Jackie Dunn) and I have a really brilliant start on a Pirates of the Caribbean fic that I believe is one of my best fanfiction ventures to date. It's really worth a look, you can find us under the name Pirate Lords of the Pacific. The story is called "Take What You Can". I'm posting it little bits at a time to keep it near the top, so keep an eye out for that one if you like Pirates of the Caribbean.

2.) As promised, I do have a few X-Men ficlets in mind staring Willow and Jackie. The first I'll discuss Willow and Beast's father-daughter relationship that I started to point out at the end of Bleeding Hearts. I also plan to bring Willow's biological father into the picture, so much mayhem with that. I'll try to start that one back up again soon, but Pirates is taking up all my free time lately. The Jackie story idea is still in its infancy, but I'm planning to have her become a more dependable and mature member of the X-Men team by having her go recruit Dazzler (the Ultimate X-Men version of Dazzler, so she's all punky and obnoxious.)

3.) I'm not sure about this one, but I've written a good chunk of an Order of the Phoenix story that's from the p.o.v. of my character, Miho. She's a warewolf and a Slytherin, so a bit of a twist there. My only problem is that if I were to post it, I would feel obligated to write story lines for the last two books, and I'm not sure if I'm up for it. We'll see, if you really feel like reading a pretty decent Harry Potter fic, drop me a line and I'll see what I can do.

4.) I might, and when I say might, I mean MIGHT start writing a couple Avatar: the Last Airbender ficlets. I've never written or published anything anime because, for the most part, I find anime to be a bit shallow and without much deeper meaning or significance. Don't get me wrong, I like SOME anime (like Sailor Moon, Ah! Megami-sama, Slayers and Blood Plus) so I'm no anime hater. However, I'm just skeptical towards the genre as far as finding something really interesting and compelling to write about goes. The Avatar characters have struck a chord with me, though, especially Toph, and I see some nice inner turmoil there that I can work with. We'll see...

So that's pretty much it. I highly suggest you go forth and find our Pirates fic, you won't be disappointed.

Thanks for reading and thanks for all your support!
