Author has written 3 stories for Code Geass, Lord of the Flies, and One Piece.
Hey Y'all, this is manga-otaku here!
Hmmm, general info:
Name: Nothing you'd ever guess! :P (seriously)
Gender: What do you think?
Age:17 (Watch out! I can drive!)
Location: BC (If you don't know where that is, then that's just too bad)
Update! (01/06/12): To anyone who is reading Code Geass: Steps Untaken, I sincerely apologize for the huge delays in posting the next chapter, but to be perfectly honest, I don't expect there to be a new update for a very long time. I started the story in the middle of my grade 11 year, in part because I really wanted to see a story with Suzaku and Lelouch working together, but also in part because I was bored and had free time on my hands. This is not the case anymore.
Finishing strong in my grade 12 year, making sure I'm ready to start university life, visiting my family before I go to uni and hanging out with friends I might not see again for year all take precendent to finishing a story I'm writing for fun. I have put a hiatus notice on my story, but didn't put a A/N simply because I didn't want to dissapoint the people who are waiting patiently for another chapter.
I WILL CONTINUE THE STORY, I GUARANTEE YOU! It just happens that I have no idea when that will be. Maybe life will cooperate and I'll have time in the summer to post a few chapters, maybe there will be a lull in the first few weeks of university when we go over grade 12 material, I DON'T KNOW, and because of that, I don't want to promise a chapter by a specific date anymore. It's dissapointed you guys when I don't make the deadline, and it dissapoints me too, so I won't say when I will finish this story, but I will promise that it will be finished.
OK, now that I'm done introducing myself, here are a few things you might need to know:
For one, I'm obsessed with manga/anime, though you might have guessed that by my name. I don't spend a lot of time looking for good stories anymore, but if anyone has recommendations, I would love to hear them. You'll notice that I only have a few titles listed below (compare to how many I have on alert at least), but those are just the ones I consider to be the cream of the crop. I also have a tendency to not add anything until they are finished to make sure I really to approve of the story whole-heartedly.
-Record of a Fallen Vampire (All time fav)
-Katekyo Hitman Reborn! (Loved it up to the ring conflict arc. I'm slightly dissapointed by the latest arc, but c'est la vie)
-One Piece (Oda-sensei is genius)
-Bakuman (The idea behind it is awsome)
-Kaichou wa Maid-sama (Too cute >_
-Gimmick! (At first, it wasn't that great, but the the last 4 volumes had decent plot)
-Kuroshitsuji (Demon butlers, I WANT ONE!)
-Death Note (I actually refuse to acknowledge anything after L died as DN. As far as I'm concerned, the story ended there and the rest was the company trying to gain profits)
-Ouran High School Host Club (Hikaru & Kaoru are awsomeness, that's all I have to say)
-Full Metal Alchemist (Great plot, well developped characters, I don't care too much for the ending, but everything else was excellent)
-Eyeshield 21 (The first major manga I followed that ended)
-Natsume Yuujinchou (It is one of the only slow-paced and non-plot orientated manga I've ever read and didn't want to throw away)
-Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro (Loved the ending)
-Code Geass (All time fav)
-Detective Conan (Unlike other people, this was the first anime I ever watched, back when I was a kid)
-Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood (Yes, I know I put FMA with manga, but the second anime was just brilliance)
-Soul Eater (Death the Kid is cool, his OCD reminds me of mine :P)
-Rurouni Kenshin (A classic everyone should watch)
- Inu x Boku SS (Cuuuuuuuuute :3)
Favorite Characters of all time and why:
1) Lelouch (Code Geass) --> Because he tries to make the world better for his sister's sake, and later, for the world's sake. Because he's smart enough to see through the lies and determined enough to presevere. Because he was selfish enough, but also selfless enough to die for the the millions who hated him when all he truly wanted was to be happy, living with his sister and his friends in a world without the cruelty of war and discrimination. Because Lelouch brought hope, love, salvation and freedom to those without it. Because he covered his own hands in blood so that those that come after would never have to.
2) Zoro (One Piece) --> Because he's the man behind the man, who strives to protect those precious to him no matter what the consequences. Because he's a dreamer who knows the price of what he's striving for but continues forwards anyways. And also because inspite of that, he'd throw away his dreams and his ambitions for the sake of his friends because he knows that they are more important than his promise to a girl long gone who would understand anyways. Because Zoro embodies loyalty, determination, faith, trust, preserverance and strength and anyone who is capable of representing all of that is definitely worthy of respect.
3) Luffy (One Piece) --> Because Luffy is freedom, innocence, naivety, love, strength, and guidance. Because he's able to always go his own way and do what he wants regardless of the consequences. Because he's able to smile, to live, to love in spite of his past, his loss and his suffering. Because he never ever looks back and always lives for the present and for the future, but that doesn't mean he forgets whats truly important. Because his crew is his treasure, more important that anything: his life, his dreams, even his straw hat if it came down to it.
4) Jellal (Fairy Tail)--> Because he's not the hero, he's not the villan, he's the victim who broke free. Because even in the worst situations, he looks after others before looking after himself. Because he's done wrong, influenced by others or not, but he's willing to admit that, appologize and accept the consequences even when he doesn't remember his crimes. Because he is a symbol of repentance, of sacrifice and of forgiveness. Because he is pulls all the pain and suffering onto himself, deservedly or not, and at that moment, all you want to do is protect him, because you know he wouldn't protect himself if it means justice is served.
From Code Geass:
Lulu/Suza [OTP] (Suza/Lulu is OK, but not as great)
Jeremiah x Sayoko
From One Piece:
LuZo/ZoLu (LuffyxZoro, regardless of who is seme/uke) [OTP]
SanZo (But only if it's really well written and the attraction is explained)
In my dream OP verse: Zoro is with Luffy (with Luffy as the seme), Sanji and Nami hook up, Usopp thinks of Kaya back home, Robin and Franky are together while Chopper and Brooke are single (simply because I don't want to go there). Ace is alive and in love with Marco, who both saves him at Marineford and smacks some sense into him (figuratively AND literally XD). On Water Seven, Kakku returned to Galley-La to appologize and earns forgiveness from Paulie and in the revolutionary army somewhere, Sabo working hard to give freedom and eqality to all. Also, Akainu is dead because the Whitebeard crew kicked his ass.
From Avatar the Last Airbender:
Toko (TophxZukko) [OTP]
From Katekyo Hitman Reborn!:
5986 (GokuderaxHaru) [OTP]
From Fairy Tail :
Jerza (Jellal x Erza) [OTP]
Mystwalker (MystoganxErza Knightwalker)
Ulquihime (UlquiorraxOrihime) [OTP]
From Detective Conan /Magic Kaitou:
From Lelouch-sama/Zero-dono or others in CG:
"Only those who are prepared to fire should be fired at."
"I...destroyed the world, created the world."
"Those with power, fear me. Those who are powerless, seek for me."
"Father yearned for for the past, you yearn for today and I yearn for the future."
"If the king doesn't move, his subjects won't follow."
"Even if I need to cheat and hurt others, I must persevere. To that end I must become carnage incarnate. I must spill yet more blood, so that the blood already spilt will not be in vain."
"Happiness is like glass. It may be all around you, yet be invisible. But if you change your angle of viewing a little, then it will reflect light more beautifully than any other object around you."
"When there is evil in this world that justice cannot defeat.Would you taint your hands with evil to defeat evil?Or would you remain steadfast & righteous even if it means surrendering to evil?"
"False tears bring pain to others, false smile brings pain to one self."
"Its heavy isn't it? Those who bear that mask must bear the burden of the whole world upon their shoulders."
"Humans exist to chase for happiness. What Lelouch was looking for was just that bit of happiness. It's not something special. The root of his actions, as a person, are very tiny wishes which are apparent in everyone. These dreams, these words, who can renounce them? Who has that right? But, however, no matter who, no matter what the wish is, one cannot bind others and the world to themselves. Determine one's fate. If one allows the thoughts of others to go beyond that of the world his existence is merely one which is drifting with the waves. Crimes and punishment. Fate and judgment. What's blocking Lelouch is the past he created. It is hate between people. Even so, he should be thankful now. At least...it is a fact that humans exist to pursue happiness. All the wishes, concealing those yearnings...they are born from despair."
"Nothing is unforgivable. So if you cannot forgive him, it means you do not want to."
"All men are not created equal. Some are born swifter of foot, some with greater beauty. Some are born into poverty, and others born sick and feeble. Both in birth and in upbringing, in sheer scope of ability, every human is inherently different. That is why people discriminate against one another, which is why there is struggle, competition, and the unfaltering march of progress. Inequality is not wrong; equality is."
""I was dead until the moment I met you. I was a powerless corpse pretending to be alive. Living without power, without the ability to change my course, was akin to a slow death."
"The world won't change with pretty words alone"
"Geass is like a wish, I shall put myself under the Geass known as the wishes of the world"
"Does strength represent justice if powerlessness is a crime!?"
"When people lie, they are doing it to protect the ones they love."
"Nunnally's smile...Do you know what it means? Nunnally cannot accomplish anything by herself, she has to depend on others for everything so her smile...her smile is the only way she can thank others for helping. She was the one who taught me, that there are things in life you can't accomplish by yourself."
"ALL HAIL LELOUCH!"
From Orson Scott Card's Empire:
"Treason only matters when it is committed by trusted men"
"Heroic love is to do what is best for the loved one, disregarding desire, trust, and cost. Unfortunately, it is impossible to know what is best for anyone"
"In war planning, you must anticipate the actions of the enemy. Be careful lest your pre-emptive measures teach the enemy which of his possible actions you most fear"
"Personal affection is a luxury you can have only after all your enemies are eliminated. Until then, everyone you love is a hostage, sapping your courage and corrupting your judgement"
"The greatest irony is this: While war is the ultimate expression of mistrust, it cannot be waged without absolute trust. A soldier trusts his comrades to stand beside him and his commander to lead him wisely so that he will not be lea to meaningless death. And the commander trusts his subordinates and soldiers to act with wisdom and courage in order to compensate for his ignorance, stupidity, incompetence and fear which all commanders have in ample measure"
" All the common people want is to be left alone. All the common collect his pay and not get killed. That is why the great forces can be manipulated by astonishingly small groups of determined people"
"If you behave rationally, then reason becomes the leash which you enemy pulls you. Yet if you knowingly make irrational decisions, have you not betrayed your own ability? The battlefield is not a place for actors, playing the role of this or that style of commander, for you can always imitate a worse commander, but never a better one. You must be yourself, even if your enemy comes to know your weakness, for you cannot pretend to have personal abilities and traits that you do not have"
"How much responsibility do you bear for the ill use others might make of your ideas? Almost as much as the responsibility you bear if you fail to speak you ideas when they might have made a difference in this world"
"You don’t know who a person is until you see how he acts when given unexpected power. He hasn’t rehearsed for the part so what you see is what he is"
" Armies have spent a lot of time and effort training their soldiers no to think of the enemy as human beings. The trouble is, war is not about killing. It’s about getting the enemy to stop resisting your will. Like training a dog not to bite. Punishing him leaves you with a beaten dog. Killing him is a permanent solution, but you’ve got no dog. If you can understand why he’s biting and remove the conditions that make him bite, sometimes that can solve the problem as well. The dog isn’t dead. It isn’t even your enemy."
"History is never proved, only assumed. No matter how much evidence you collect, you’re always guessing about cause and effect, assuming things about dead people’s motives. Since even living people don’t understand their own motives, we’re hardly likely to do any better with the dead. Keep testing your guesses against the evidence. Keep trying out new guesses to see if they fit better. With each step, you get a little closer to that elusive thing called “the truth”. With each step you see how much farther away the truth is than you even imagined it to be"
From other places I can't be bothered to name:
"You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be mangled, misinterpreted, and misrepresented in a court of law."
"Stupidity killed the cat. Curiousity was framed."
"Some people are alive today, simply because it is illegal to kill them."
"Tell the truth and run"
"Home is not where you live, but where they understand you."
"Two things are infinite: the universe, and human stupidity... not so sure about the universe."
"Don’t regret doing things, regret getting caught"
"Chocolate makes everything better... except for cavities and diabetes."
"Nobody is a virgin; life has screwed us all."
One last thing I wanted to share:
Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape.
He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as: Knowing when to come in out of the rain; why the early bird gets the worm; Life isn't always fair; and Maybe it was my fault.
Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more than you can earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not children, are in charge). His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a 6 year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition.
Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job that they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly children. It declined even further when schools were required to get Parental consent to administer Calpol, sun lotion or a band-aid to a student; but could not inform parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion.
Common Sense lost the will to live as the Ten Commandments became contraband; churches became businesses; and criminals received better treatment than their victims.
Common Sense took a beating when you couldn't defend yourself from a burglar in your own home and the burglar could sue you for assault.
Common Sense finally gave up the will to live after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in her lap, and was promptly awarded a huge settlement.
Common Sense was preceded in death by his parents, Truth and Trust; his wife, Discretion; his daughter, Responsibility; and his son, Reason.
He is survived by his 3 stepbrothers; I Know My Rights, Someone Else Is To Blame, and I'm A Victim. Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone.
