Set in S2, immediately following the end of Roadkill.  By all accounts, this was one of their more successful cases of late. They dispatched the vengeful Jonah Greely, Molly has gone into the light, and for once, Sam managed to not get himself choked by the monster.  And Dean… well, they are Winchesters after all. When did everything ever go completely right for them? Hurt Dean.

It was only a bar fight... right? With Winchester luck, is anything ever that simple? You can't kill the monster that's taking little kids and you don't know what's wrong with your brother... Sam wonders how bad are things going to get?

Tag to 11.15. The whole case brought up a lot of good and bad memories for Dean. Including the one where he got a chunk of his leg torn out. Needless to say Dean isn't feeling so hot. Going through the wall with his head hadn't been his choice though. Can Dean take anymore? He feels like he can't, he feels like he can't get back up.

Set in Nova42's Providence universe. Dean thinks he's done and Sam knows that. He knows his big brother thinks he doesn't have a damn thing left in him that can continue on or is even worth fighting for but he's WRONG. It's starting to seem like that whiskey might have been the proverbial last straw, because the drive was long and the stairs were a BITCH, but this walk to his room is looking to take him down. Dean's head spins and his gut churns, and he makes a pathetic attempt to stabilize himself with bloody fingertips pressed against the tiled corridor.

Season 3, set immediately after 3.12, Jus In Bello. Picking up the pieces from a soul-crushing loss, Sam works to find a way to regain focus as Dean escapes his destiny inside another hunt. But this time, will 'acceptable losses' include the Winchesters?

Set in season 2, just after BUABS. Dean and Sam, mentally and physically exhausted, take on a case in the Pine Barrens of New Jersey, where they're told that the Jersey Devil has been hunting and killing tourists. Hurt!Dean coming right up...

Dean was right – they should have gone for steaks in Texas, because the hunt for a vengeful spirit in a Rhode Island lighthouse is taking a real toll on both Winchesters, mentally and physically.

Preseries, Stanford era, so no spoilers. Rated for language. Gen: Dean, John and Sam. Sick!Hurt!Dean, to be specific. John and Dean are hunting without Sam and they miss him in their own ways. Dean is sick. There is angst.

In 2001 Michael left Fiona and in 2007 she got a call from Miami but what happened during those six years? Things happened that defined them both...what drove Fiona to New York? What really happened in Afghanistan? REVIVED!

Season 2, post Nightshifter. On the run from the FBI, the brothers are sidelined by a snowstorm and find themselves at the mercy of a sheltered town filled with secrets. Staying alive means staying together as they fight to stay on the surface.

This is what might happen after the season finale where the Vaughn plot line was resolved and once again Michael was taken away by "spy types" with no explanation to Fi, Sam, or his mother. This is how I could maybe see him finding his way back to Miami.

John punishes a teenaged Dean, ignoring his son's still not quite cured chest infection. Things take a turn for the worse.

S4, Dean has a cast iron stomach. He can eat anything and occasionally Sam has to live with the noxious consequences. When hunting a monster after the eldest children in town, Dean goes down with a stomach bug. Goes down hard.

After an infelicitous one night stand, Dean becomes a danger to Sam. Now updated to include some minor additions, like an ENDING.

What happened after everything didn't end. Starts as a missing scene from Swan Song and goes from there. H/C. Rating for Language.
