Fic addicted (one day I will analyze this a bit more). I rely on blog and favorite author rec's for my next fic to read. So far this has been a good strategy since I haven't hit too many shit fics (but there have been a few). Will I ever evolve from "reader" to "writer"? Who knows? Time is the biggest factor (or excuse). I envy and admire those that do write. I am a reviewer - I like to leave general feedback, squee's and appreciation for the authors as my "thank-you" for their time and effort. Con-crit goes into a PM. What bugs me? Rampant spelling errors and gross misuse of grammar take me out of a story quicker than anything else. I appreciate and applaud well written fics.
Besides reading fics on FFN I amuse myself by lurking on the various forums...what an interesting sub-culture, truly fascinating. Oh the drama and lulz!
Current fan fiction interests: Harry Potter (I have an intense fascination with Severus Snape and Alan Rickman has much to do with that), Twilight, The Hunger Games, The Mortal Instruments and Avatar: The Last Airbender (inorite?)... ! My inner teenage self seems to want to come out and play! So yeah, reading fic is purely for entertainment purposes only, not to be used to predict the future or other such stuff and nonsense.
Sept 2011: I have become obsessed with HP fanfic...it is consuming me. Twlight now seems like a passing fancy.
Nov 2011: Major clean up to my favorites list, mostly due to my using it as a "to read" list, not very accurate or effective.
