Thank You

Reading over my reviews, I realized there was so much I could say to them, to you guys, but never do. For that I am sorry, and I apologize to you and all the reviewers I've ever had. I feel bad about that, because you're loyal and dedicated and are always eagerly waiting for an update even if it is months later, and I almost never thank you guys.

So, here it is:

Thank You; thank you for boosting my confidence; thank you for reading; thank you for making me smile; thank you for making me laugh; thank you for reviewing on almost every chapter; thank you for your insights; thank you for your encouragement; thank you for favoriting; thank you for alerting; thank you for being the silver lining to those days where it seems like everything went wrong; thank you for being awesome fans; thank you for your inspiration; thank you for helping me keep on keeping on; thank you for getting me through writer's blocks; thank you for visiting my website; thank you for visiting my YouTube account; thank you for watching my videos; thank you for all the support; thank you for... everything.

Because Thanksgiving isn't the only day we should be giving thanks.

About Me

I like poetry, long walks on the beach, and poking dead things with a stick.

In all seriousness, though, I love to write, pure and simple. I also love to read. I also am interested in a lot of different arts, like painting, dance, photography, video production, cooking, singing, etc.; you name it, I probably have shown interest in it some time or other in my life. But I also have a very scientific side to me... I may not be particularly good at science, but my main subjects (that I can actually do) are psychology, forensics, and mico-expressions and body language (any Lie to Me fans out there?). I also love to know how things work and how things are made. This especially shows when I watch How it's Made and how excited I get when I get to see behind the scenes stuff on movies or TV shows or YouTube parodies. Acting is fun and all, but working behind the scenes is where it's at, in my opinion.

I suppose, just as a general rule, I like learning things. I will admit History is hard for me because it doesn't grab my interest, but, in general, learning about things--anything--is just so fun.

Story Information

Butterflies, the Beautiful Kind SEQUEL {BBC Sherlock}
Status: Will be written
AN: Enough people have asked me about this (and by enough I mean, like three) that I've decided to add this to my Story Information section. There is going to be another "book" to my first story. And it's going to take place during the first season of Sherlock. I just haven't had the time to really flesh it out. I've got the ideas and the main points, but I'd like it to be a real story which is going to take a lot more time and effort on my part. Right now, I'm working on a PJO story and would like to finish that one before starting this one because this story is something that needs my undivided attention to write. I have finally decided on a title: My Walls Stood Tall, Painted Blue. (And, yes, that's another lyric from "Everything has Changed" by Taylor Swift ft. Ed Sheeran; I'm sticking with this theme.) So be on the lookout for a story with that name. I don't know when I'll be able to post it because I will be studying abroad to China in the fall. However, like I said, I do still plan on writing it and posting it. That is a fact and will not change no matter how much time goes by. I hope you will continue to be patient with me. Thank you.

A Series of Unfortunate Events: Out of the Light {PJO}
Status: Indefinite Hiatus
AN: For anyone who wants to know, I lost my muse a long, long time ago for it and haven't been able to find it. I would like to continue it, but have been thinking on and off about putting it up for adoption. Not sure what I'm going to do just yet. I might just scrap the whole series and try again, only post it when it's all finished, or close to it, anyway.

Cold Comfort {Night World}
Status: Indefinite Hiatus
AN: All right, so college has officially begun, so I'll be mostly focusing on that for right now. If I'm being honest, that last massive chapter wore me out so much so, I don't feel like writing it right now. And, sadly, I don't know how long it'll take for me to get back to wanting to writing it again. I also still need to work out a lot of things and come to a conclusion for the story. My writing style is such that I try not to force things too much, which include plot points. I like things to flow naturally, right now I'm off balance because I'm still adjusting to my new class schedule and classwork. All I ask is that you be patient with me, and stick with me. I will finish this story, it might just take a few months longer than you expected. I love you guys, my readers, and I love writing, but right now school is my main priority.

Update 12.12.14: On winter break now, and I'm going to finish this at some point, I promise. I just think I've lost my muse and I don't know how I want to end it either. I'd really like to figure out what my next step is before I continue to write it, so right now I'm waiting to see if I can figure out an end. I think about it periodically, about endings and possibilities, but thus far, nothing solid has really popped up. And I apologize for this. But I hope you'll stick with me until the end (of the line), because I will finish it. I just don't know when that will be. I haven't given up on this story, I've just put it on hold for right now.

Dark Horse {Twilight}
Status: Indefinite Hiatus
AN: All right, so college has officially begun, so I'll be mostly focusing on that for right now. Ideas are still flowing and I've still got major plot written down, but I need to flesh them out, actually write them, and then find events and filler to lead into them. Which is the problem I'm having with this next chapter. I have an idea but I'm currently trying to figure out how to lead into it and what's going to happen after it as well as the consequences of it. At this point I feel like Alice and Jasper's relationship has come to a halting stand-still. While that's not the main focus of the story, I've already posted 20 chapters and I feel like I haven't gotten anywhere with the main plot or the sub-plot. I'm still trying to figure out a way to smoothly transition into more intimacy between them as well as progress over-arching danger I presented in the first chapter. I also still need an ending.

Update 10.3.14: I didn't want to admit it, if anyone even checks/reads this, but I think I've lost my muse for this story. I didn't want to write it down, because I felt it too final, but I'm admitting it now. I'm not admitting defeat, however. I am going to finish this story one way or another. This story has been a work in progress for years now, because I've started it over three times, as I said in my author's note of the first chapter.

I've always wanted to write a story about Alice and Jasper where they were the stars, but I think I was and have been going about the wrong way this whole time. The first was just basically a carbon copy of Twilight with Edward and Bella's names replaced with Alice and Jasper. My second one had a bit more success, even going so far as to have a sequel, but I just didn't like the style or the plot ideas for it. There was plot holes and it just kind of felt all wrong. This third time around, I had a great idea, but executed it poorly. The story's too slow and all my ideas are just going to bog it down and make it into one of those TL;DR kinds of stories. Great writers can get away with that, currently I'm just a good writer and still learning. Also, Alice is starting to slowly become a self-insert. I loathe self-inserts, so I can't have one in any of my stories. Which is why I'm thinking about deleting the story--once again--and re-writing it.

I don't know why I've had so much trouble with this story. I want to write this, though. All these obstacles have made me want to write it even more now than ever. Now, the deleting part isn't a definitive decision, but I'm swinging toward it the more and more I write this. The plot is going to be the same, but the writing is going to better thought out and carefully crafted before I post any of it. I'm not going to fly by the seat of my pants anymore, which I've found really hinders my writing. This doesn't mean I'm going to write the whole thing and then post, it just means I'm going to make sure I know what's going to happen in each chapter before I write it.

So, yeah, there it is, all laid out for you. I guess third time, is indeed, not the charm. Not this time, anyway.

Update 12.12.14: On winter break now, but I'm not sure that you'll see much action from me regarding this story and it's possible re-write. I haven't give up on trying to write a story for Alice and Jasper, still, but right now I've just lost my muse for it all together. I've written the first chapter to the rewrite, but I'm trying this new idea I got, which might just be too complicated to actually write with. So, I have to write a few more chapters to see if my idea will work and also to make sure that I don't update on a bi-monthly basis, because these chapters are going to take me much longer to write until I get the hang of it.

I'm considering writing the whole thing out before posting it, so you might not be hearing from me in this area for a long time. That's probably hard to hear, I know, and I'd explain why, but I don't want to spoil the idea. It's a really cool idea, if it works, I think, so I'd really like to keep it a surprise for my lovely readers. So, yeah, that's about it, sorry I don't have more for you.

It's the Perfect Story {PJO}
Status: Will (try my damnedest to) Post Soon
AN: I'm not quite sure which direction I'm going with this story right now. In retrospect, not my wisest decision to post if I don't even know where my story is going, but it'll be an adventure for both of us. I'm just going to keep writing and see where it takes me. I hope you like this updated version.

Update 2.12.15: I'm still not quite sure which direction I'm going with this story, but I don't regret posting it before I knew what I was doing. Still going to be an adventure. Just... a little slower going one for right now. As you can tell, I didn't update yesterday. Here's why: I've officially started college. Now, while it hasn't taken up too much of my time (yet), I got writer's block. I'm currently trying to figure out what I can do to make this story move in the direction I'd like it to go. I have ideas as soon as I get past this, but right now, I have to get past this. When I do, I'll write as much as I can when I can and post when it's finished. When I'll be able to is going to be up in the air. Studies and my job here come first, always. So, and I know I've said this before, I hope all my lovely readers will be patient with me as I get through this writer's block and also begin my new semester. I have written stories during busy college life and, unlike the other stories in this section, I do plan to finish this, because I haven't lost my muse and I have so many more ideas for this story and Tori's future to come. Stay tuned!

Update 2.22.15: Still not sure which direction I'm going, because I came up with this insane idea that I don't even know will work, and still might not do, but it's a possibility that I'm playing with, so... I'll figure it out soon, though, because I'm getting closer and closer to that plot point in the story. Anyway, I've just updated tonight, but am going to keep the status the same because there's no point in changing it back and forth, you know? As I said in the chapter I posted tonight, that part of the plot was a roadblock I needed to get past or like swallowing a large pill. Now that I've gotten past this, we can move on and hopefully writing will be a bit smoother, because I've had so much time to think about the ideas. As always, I hope you'll stick with me as we venture further and further into this AU.

Slow Dance—A Poem by a Girl with Cancer

Have you ever watched kids,
On a merry-go-round?
Or listened to the rain,
Slapping on the ground?
Ever followed a
Butterfly's erratic flight?
Or gazed at the sun into the fading night?
You better slow down,
Don't dance so fast.
Time is short,
The music won't last.
Do you run through each day,
On the fly?
When you ask, "How are you?"
Do you hear the reply?
When the day is done,
Do you lie in your bed,
With the next hundred chores
Running through your head?
You'd better slow down,
Don't dance so fast.
Time is short,
The music won't last.
Ever told your child,
"We'll do it tomorrow?"
And in your haste,
Not see his sorrow?
Ever lost touch,
Let a good friendship die,
Cause you never had time
To call and say, "Hi"?
You'd better slow down,
Don't dance so fast.
Time is short,
The music won't last.
When you run so fast to get somewhere,
You miss half the fun of getting there.
When you worry and hurry through your day,
It is like an unopened gift...
Thrown away.
Life is not a race.
Do take it slower.
Hear the music,
Before the song is over.

Let's Stand Up To Cancer

I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud—William Wordsworth {Revised version}

I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er valleys and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.
Continuous as the stars that shine
and twinkle on the Milky Way,
They stretched in never-ending line
along the margin of the bay:
Then thousand saw I at a glance,
tossing their heads in sprightly dance.
The waves beside them danced; but they
Out-did the sparkling waves in glee:
A poet could not but be gay,
in such a jocund company:
I gazed—and gazed—but little thought
what wealth the show to me had brought:
For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils.
