CREATIVE CREDITS/SPECIAL THANKS
Several ideas/concepts used in the Enigma Chronicles: Sedition and the Enigma Chronciles: Echoes originated from the Pokémon Rebirth project. The site contains a number of creative, well-thought stories written to flesh out and enrich the Anime world of Pokémon. I encourage my readers to check all of them out.
My name is Austen and I love to write. It's my passion. It's my power. It's who I am.
My biggest project would be "The Giovanni Chronicles Saga". The first two installments can be found in my story list below, along with a collection of bonus stories.
I really don't wish to pester anyone by bringing my personal life into the spotlight. But I feel there's always story behind every writer as well. Allow me to just break it into sections so you can read only what you may want to know.
BIO: I'm Male. I go to college. I live a content life. I love my family. I have some very close friends but prefer not to surround myself with a group. I hate being the center of attention. I played the Tuba in my High School's Marching, and was also a pitcher on our school's baseball team for a semester. Through all this, I worked hard to maintain a good grade point average. My favorite subjects are English, U.S. History, and Psychology. Fascinating right? Nahh I didn't think so.
I'm currently attending college part-time, and... that's about it. Creative Writing seems to be something I'd like to major in, as writing is my primary joy and passion. My top priority now is to do well in school and earn my degree.
Hobbies: Writing, spending time with my best friends, writing, computer animation, writing, swimming, writing, baseball, writing, marching band, writing, golfing, writing, film reviewing, writing, being with my family . . . and oh! Writing!
Other stuff: I'm a Leukemia survivor which was something I used to never like to talk about. But I am proud to say I've been in remission for almost four years now and that the whole experience has matured me. It's given me the incentive to live life to the fullest and to fulfill my passion for writing.

"Chaos isn't a pit. Chaos is a ladder. Many who try to climb it fail and never get to try again. The fall breaks them. And some are given a chance to climb, they cling to the realm or the gods or love. Only the ladder is real. The climb is all there is." - Littlefinger, Game of Thrones
"It seems we must begin anew. Ah, but know this: I will give to you as many hearts as it takes. Mark my words! You can no more be complete without me than I without you. Heed me, Kingdom Hearts! "I'm the most terrific liar you ever saw in your life. It's awful. If I'm on my way to the store to buy a magazine, even, and somebody asks me where I'm going, I'm liable to say I'm going to the opera. It's terrible." - Holden Caulfield, The Catcher in the Rye

"Fear plays an interesting role in our lives. How dare we let it motivate us? How dare we let it into our decision making, into our livelihoods, into our relationships? It’s funny isn’t it we take a day a year to dress up in costume and celebrate fear." - Robert California, The Office

“Anarchy is a state of society where the only government is reason.” - Michael Schwab
"You were probably steered benignly away from things at school when you were a kid — things you liked — on the grounds that you would never get a job doing that: ‘Don’t do music, you’re not going to be a musician. Don’t do art, you won’t be an artist.’ Benign advice — now, profoundly mistaken." - Sir Ken Robinson
"Aw, we don't hate it [darkness]. It's just kinda...scary. But the world's made of light AND darkness. You can't have one without the other, 'cause darkness is half of everything. Sorta makes ya wonder why we are scared of the dark." - King Mickey, Kingdom Hearts II

“Good is a point of view, Anakin.” - Palpatine, Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith
"Oh I have my excuses and justifications, but really I just... need to [kill]. Like you. You have your flimsy excuses: finding Freebo, getting your money. But you know he's dead. You know there's no money, so really you're just... a killer. A monster. The stuff of nightmares." - Dexter Morgan, Dexter
"But there's no way that I could know what you've experienced, right? I couldn't possibly feel that need. Like a thousand hiding voices whispering 'this is who you are'. And you fight the pressure. The growing need rising like a wave. Prickling and teasing and prodding to be fed. But the whispering gets louder, until they're screaming 'now!' And it's the only voice you hear. The only voice you want to hear. And you belong to it." - Lila West, Dexter

"Oh, yes, Meg. Yes-yes-yes, everything was going swimmingly for you until this [Peter being diagnosed as mentally retarded]. Yes, yes, THIS is the thing that will ruin your reputation, not your years of grotesque appearance or awkward social graces, or that Felix Unger-ish way you clear your sinuses. No, no, it's THIS. Do you hear yourself talk? I might kill you tonight." - Stewie Griffin, Family Guy
"This world of ours is a crude one. In a word, it is incomplete. It has been, and always will be, a struggle to survive in this world. We humans and Pokémon are likewise incomplete. Because we are all so lacking, we fight, we maim... It is ugly. I hate the incompleteness. That we are all incomplete, I hate it with my entire body and being. The world should be complete. The world must change." - Cyrus, Pokémon Platinum
"We knew the world would not be the same. Few people laughed, few people cried, most people were silent. I remembered the line from the Hindu scripture, the Bhagavad-Gita. Here are a few spoilers for the next story in the Giovanni Chronicles Saga. Enjoy!
1. The story will be darker, a bit more complex, but very suspenseful :)
2. Though she'll be featured variously throughout the plot, Madame Boss will NOT be the story's main antagonist. Her role, however, along with the rest of Team Rocket, is essential to how the story folds out.
3. There really is no ONE main villain for the next story. In fact, it'll be difficult at first to distinguish friends from foes ;D
4. Gio may or may not develop a new love interest . . .
5. Gio's gang will be essential to the plot.
6. Tucker and Archer will be a two of the main protagonists, alongside Gio.
7. The story will center in the Sinnoh Region.
8. The remaining missing links of Metsuma's past will be explored more.
9. Much like Gio and Kyden in this story, the plot in the next installment will primarily focus on Gio and Tucker, each dealing with their own issues. For Gio, he's searching for his long lost father, while at the same time struggling with the concept of good and evil. For Tucker, it's an in-depth case of Peter Pan syndrome, struggling with the concept of growing up and taking responsibility.
10. pRepare for more trouble!
SHORT CHANGE HERO SYNOPSIS :
Two years have passed since the disbandment of the Rocket Empire. Peace has never felt so divine, but the world is still changing. The Pokémon League and Military Government continue to successfully reform the nation as promised, while the infamous Rocket Gang dominates the black market as an ever-growing collective of Pokémon thieves.
Upholding his duties as the Viridian Gym Leader, Giovanni Rocketto has grown and matured in his sprouting career; but in secret, he reigns full control over the Team Righteous movement: a campaign carried out by he and his biker gang to sustain Pallet Town and Viridian City on Team Rocket's behalf. And despite his efforts to keep the peace for the ones he loves, his daily gym duties and nightly chores for Team Rocket have kept him at arm's length from Delia, pulling him deeper into the helpless reaches of his Aggressive Conscience—it has been growing over the years and he can no longer stand carrying the burden.
For Team Rocket, however, trouble begins to brew yet again, this time in the form of the Saffron Crime Family, who are now holding the Rockets accountable for a substantial debt owed by the late Metsuma Rocket. Fearing the breakout of an unfinanceable crime war, Madame Boss, chief of the Rocket syndicate, dispatches Team Righteous and Rocket Commando Archer to the Sinnoh Region to rally rare Pokémon, the profits of which she can compensate Don Calypso and the Saffron Mafia.
Joining Archer's task force is Giovanni and twelve-year-old Tucker Oak. While Gio desperately seeks to contact his lost father and acquire his counsel in dealing with his Aggressive Conscience, Tucker begins his first Pokémon Journey, wanting to experience nothing more than the pleasures of his youth instead of having to worry about his father's expectations for his future.
But in addition to the struggle of overcoming their personal conflicts, Giovanni and his many companions must come to confront the most formidable of all their adversaries, which exists in great and powerful numbers. More importantly, they are not a force to be reckoned with...
LEAD CHARACTERS :
GIOVANNI: The son of the two co-founders of Team Rocket, Giovanni is the title-character and main focus of the story. Though relatively young, he is one of finest Pokémon trainers in Kanto, the leader of the Team Righteous movement, and, later, an effective member of Archer's unit dispatched to Sinnoh. Temporarily relinquishing his duties as the Viridian Gym Leader, Giovanni, accompanied by Tucker, sets out to Sinnoh to locate his father and seek his help in controlling his inner demons, which have only caused him to experience extensive conflict over the years since first embarking on his quest to be the very best.
- “If there's any light in me... I don't feel it, not anymore.”
TUCKER: Tucker is boastful, cocky, and naive towards the greater things in life, but has strong heart and a vibrant attitude. That said, one of his strongest qualities is that he is a very brave young man when facing danger. However, one of the things that Tucker worries about is 'growing up'. While his father, Professor Oak, wishes to groom him into his successor, Tucker only wants to spend his days traveling the world as an adventurous Pokémon Trainer. And to ensure he gets his wish, he does something reckless... to which Giovanni, his idol, does not quite approve...
- “But this is what I've always dreamed of, Gio! I'm not afraid! And we both know I can do this if I give it my all!”
ARCHER: Archer is Giovanni's best-friend and one of Team Rocket's most distinguished junior officials. He is appointed by Madame Boss herself to serve as the Commander of the overseas operation to the Sinnoh Region. And while he takes his work seriously, he keeps taps on Gio and Tucker's personal lives, helping in any way he can.
- “I've worked too hard to get to where I am. Perhaps you'll know what I'm talking about some day.”
PETREL: Petrel's motives on Team Righteous, particuallry throughout the Sinnoh campaign, are more mild-mannered. But as a con-artist of the sorts, Petrel is obsessed with disguises, riddles, puzzles, and words games; he typically utilizes these charade-like traits in service of Team Righteous as a means of covertly extracting information for Giovanni's use. Petrel outright hates Ariana, and makes it his mission to torment her at every opportunity, calling it "a hobby".
- “You've never been so insulted? Hmph! Well now I'M insulted!”
PROTON: Despite being the youngest of Team Righteous, Proton is essentially the opposite of restless. He is a calm and collected individual that shows little emotion, although he is sometimes seen smirking or grinning. Unlike the other members, he conducts his tasks in a veil of secrecy, suggesting an enigmatic sort of persona. He holds a fondness for literature and the humanities, and presents himself as the most intelligent inside Gio's circle of friends.
- “Recognize where you stand, for this is your calling, is it not? I, for one, would apply myself a bit more.”
ARIANA: Although Ariana is normally smiling, she can be undoubtedly egocentric, mean-spirited, tactless, cold, and uncaring. Ariana harbors an intense crush on Giovanni and repeatedly tries to move-in on him when Delia isn't present. She also shares a comedic rivalry with Petrel, as the two are always at each other's throats, and considers him a daily nuisance.
- “I'll have you know that I do so have the potential to be a bride! And not to a Wobbuffet, mind you!”
BRUTIS: Lord Brutis is the second in command of the Apostles Creed, a secret underground society of Aura Users. While listless and well-meaning in nature, he essentially serves as the main antagonist of Short Change Hero, scheming to stage a usurp and acquire control of the creed for his own mysterious ends. Without propensity and remorse to cloud thought, any action taken should be to further one's own goals, and Brutis has a ferocious dedication to his own goals. Of note, he appears to be a rather eased individual and will often talk to those around him in a light-hearted manner, regardless of whether or not he has darker intents in mind.
- “We are all pawns. Pawns to what we desire most. Such a burden.”
LUNA: Luna, whom Gio meets while attending an anger-management seminar, is an odd but eccentric traveling artist with a checkered past. She and Giovanni form a complicated relationship as Gio believes she can help him stabilize and resist his Aggressive Conscience before it can drive down a dark path.
- “You're going to tell me all your deepest, darkest secrets.”
AURORA: Aurora is a vivacious female Lucario whom trains under a retired Aura Master to develop her powers and rightfully inherit her title as the Guardian of Paradise Kingdom; this is a tradition typically expected from Riolu... but because of her delay in training, she must double her efforts before a replacement can be chosen in favor of her.
- “I can't protect the Aura itself... but I know I have a role to play in all of this, and I'm not backing down now.”
TWAIN: A powerful, wealthy industrialist and entrepreneur. He is the owner of Kingsly Industries, a business organization responsible for the construction of most of the Sinnoh Region's key buildings and libraries. But by authority of the Military Government, the Pokémon League has put a ban on the operations of pollution-inducing factories, as to prevent the incidence of another Briskomy fiasco. Because of this, Kingsly, whom formerly controlled many of Sinnoh's factories, is experiencing financial ruin upon having to shut down his plants, and is left threatened by bankruptcy. Fearing the loss of his success, the clever businessman has thrown his lot in with Kanto's very own Team Rocket in hopes of garnering financial aid... but by peculiar means, of course.
- "Tap into your primal self and seize life by the horns! You know you deserve it!"
MORBIS: Lord Morbis is the High Prophet of the Apostles Creed and controls anything and everything that transpires beneath the surface of the Sinnoh Region. But like the rest of his people, he grovels under the entity known as Giratina, believing the creature to be the god and provider of good fortune to his people. When he crosses paths with Giovanni and his team, tensions suddenly soar... and his plans to glorify his society of Aura Users take a dramatic shift...
- "The Aura... it is with us... and to a most promising degree..."
NYLIE: Nylie is Luna's fourteen-year-old sister. She is a sarcastic, witty, aggressive, tomboyish, and sometimes-bullying bad girl, who has no respect for the rules and most people. She cares little for Pokémon... until she meets twelve-year-old Tucker, whom attempts to give her a friendlier outlook on life in general. She initially sees Tucker as immature child, baffled by how he is so full of life and energy.
- "Well, excuse me for being a realist."
VINNIE: Vinnie is a young man that believes in change. He comes to see Gio for his light, not darkness... and that if he is strong enough, he can let in that light to cure him of demons, so that he can embrace the better things in life.
- "You can't live with that hate in your heart, man. You gotta find peace in life."
CRISSELA: Wrathful and widely feared, Admiral Crissela is on a mission of contempt. Seeking to avenge Kyden's death, Crissela has spent the last two years secretly reforming the Torino Remnant into a formidable team of vigilante terrorists whose mission is to destroy Team Rocket, as well as anyone associated with their criminal network... including Giovanni and his gang.
- "Can you feel the fear eating away at your soul?"
CYRUS: Born and raised in Sunnyshore City, Cyrus is troubled but brilliant child who spends most of his time in isolation, preferring the company of machines and electronics over people and Pokémon. Ever since his mother's death, he seems to be on shaky terms with his father, finding that his expectations of him are cruel and unfair.
- “The human spirit is weak and incomplete... and the world, in turn, is falling apart because of it. I can only dream of the day I'll find an escape from it all...”
