I have read over 75 books since December 2012 (Posted August 2013)My favourite Disney princess is Mulan because she has honour and courage. Plus she can wield a sword like a freaking bamf. My favourite stuffed animal I have is a red-and-white striped rabbit a friend's mom bought for me two years back. She had taken one look at it, thought This is so for Madie, and gave it to me as a Christmas present. I've loved it to this day and have brought it up to her multiple times. My biggest role model is my brother - he is the one who got me into writing in the first place and I am eternally grateful to him for setting me on this path. Thank you Chris for all those times we took turns writing paragraphs on the rides home and making weird little stories when I was eight. Thank you for listening to all my plot ideas and not hesitating to let me read your work. Most of all, thanks for giving me the greatest gift of all time - the power of writing. (But screw you for getting me hooked on video games and webcomics; that stuff is addicting as hell and I hate you for it.)My taste buds are messed up - I'll have something extremely sweet and then go 'oh better go wash it down with a pickle'Don't ever ask me my opinion on otters unless you want me to get a crazed look in my eye and talk your ear off for an hour straight. You think I'm joking but it's actually happened. Ever since I could remember, I've had these really terrible nightmares. They get to the point where I'd wake up screaming at night and they usually focus on things out of my control and stuff that is completely plausible in real life. Hence, love-hate relationship with the subconscious. My favourite Marble Slab Ice Cream concoction is either Banana ice cream with brownies or Double Dark chocolate with brownies and bananas. My school colours are red, black and white; therefore, more than half my wardrobe looks like it's been bled on. My chemistry teacher wrote a part of the BC Chemistry textbook. I speak fluent french; I went to a Francophone school from grade two until seven and took French 12 in Grade 8. I play volleyball, basketball, and I only quit soccer this year because I stopped enjoying it, but I used to be goalkeeper. I have the most hectic life ever. Like I said, two sports, then I'm in theatre production, I decided taking all three sciences and Math enriched was a smart move, and I live an hour bus ride away from my school. I told you it was bad. My boyfriend my be taller than me by almost a foot but I could shoot free throws over him all day. He's a soccer player. My best friend looks just like me; or at least, we used to. She's prettier. And taller. And as soon as she sees this I'm going to get the "MADIE THAT IS NOT TRUE" text. LOLMy perfect kick-back day would be having the house to myself on a rainy day, a book in my hand and the perfect cup of tea next to me as I snuggle under my alpaca wool blanket and watch the rain drops hit the big window in our front room. I've been to Florida (age 6), Quebec (age 15), Hawaii (age 15), Alberta (Age 16) and Peru (age 16). Notice the ten year period between before it is all in just two years. Oh, and Quebec was my first trip on a plane in years, and I went on my own. Asking me for fashion advice is the single most stupid thing you could do. Really. Go ask someone who's brain isn't constantly thinking about books and school. My favourite thing to buy is usually notebooks and pens. I have so many, and I use them all very little, but it's somehow like getting excited for a story you know you'll want to put in there one day. This year, I actually got four notebooks from different friends for my birthday. One of them was like I knew you were going to get a lot and she looked really sad but I have honestly used all of them. One is my school agenda for this year, another I wrote my time in Peru in it, still another has book ideas, and the big one is for school when I feel the urge to write a cool little one-shot original prompt.
