I am OneDarkandStormyNight, but you can always call me Rin if you want.
Well, I've finally managed to devote my attention to one set of my own characters. I just wanted you all to know, so you'll know why you might not be getting as many updates from me from now on. I still love all my fanfiction people, though--characters and readers--so don't think I'm going to abandon it altogether! All the characters from my favorite books/movies/shows are still a piece of my heart; I think you all know that won't go away.
(Just for anyone interested, the book I'm writing is about an unlikely group of young men and women with totally different backgrounds living in a pseudo-Victorian London, who have to work together to figure out what's really going on in their "perfectly functioning" society, save their city--and the world--from an enemy they didn't even know they had, and figure out the weird and wonderful magic that's settled in each of them and how it's connected to the magic of the ancient Suns of the Seven Realms...all the while, learning to understand themselves and build a powerful friendship with each other. It's essentially a character-based adventure novel set in a historical science-fiction world with a dash of fantasy thrown in...not that easy to define, I know, sorry. I'm predicting four to seven books will come out of it, so for now it's called The Daybreak Series.)
I always like knowing a bit about a writer I like, so here you go, for anyone who might care (if not, just enjoy the stories below!): my nickname is Rin, so that's what you're totally welcome to call me; after all, everyone everywhere might just be a friend you haven't met yet. I'm a nineteen-year-old girl with dark brown "hippie-in-a-windstorm" hair (sad but true) and eyes that change colors (I know it's so weird); for now, I'm trying to figure out where in the world I'm going to end up (literally and metaphorically). I'm attending a private college in Florida (don't even ask how that's going) and after that world domination, probably.
My favorite food is sushi, I dream about living in Honolulu, Hawaii, and traveling the world someday very, very soon; my favorite characters include the Doctor (Doctor Who), Indiana Jones, McCoy from Star Trek (I'm in love), and Merlin from the BBC show; my favorite shows are Doctor Who, Elementary (I love Sherlock too but I think they're both equally good and Elementary deserves more love), Merlin, and a black-and-white version of Sherlock Holmes from the 1940s that nobody's ever heard of; my favorite movies are Star Trek: Into Darkness, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, The Scarlet Pimpernel (though I can't decide between the one with Anthony Andrews or the one with Leslie Howard, mostly just because I'm desperately in love with Leslie Howard), and probably several more that I can't seem to remember at the moment; and my favorite book is the Bible.
(wow that was way more than i expected to write)
For my regular readers--
Seasons one through four:
After season four:
Season five and beyond:
Sometime soon after The Kindness of Strangers (5x10), Morgana and Mordred unite. Soon after this, Aithusa also joins them.
Five to ten years after Merlin’s magic was revealed, Arthur made him court sorcerer and advisor. (While his status changed, though, he still was more or less Arthur’s manservant.) When Gaius died, he also became court physician. Twenty-five years after Arthur’s coronation, Camlann occurred. (He was in his late forties; Merlin was in his mid-forties, but due to the ageing spell he used so that no one but Arthur and Gwen would know about his immortality, he looked about eighty.) Like in the show, due to Merlin's immortality, he lives on until the story picks up in The Voice in the Dream. (See story list below.)
