Author has written 10 stories for House, M.D., and Doctor Who.
Let's see - what can I tell you about myself that you would possibly find interesting? Probably not much but here goes. I'm a proud resident of the Hoosier state, married to a wonderful man for over 10 years now who not only tolerates my fanfiction obsessions but willingly reads works-in-progress and lets me bounce ideas off of him as well. He's been responsible for more than one epiphany too!
Hubby is the anglophile of our household, and ironically his love of all things British has led me to both my fanfiction obsessions. He introduced me years ago to Hugh Laurie, in both Jeeves & Wooster as well as Black Adder. I found House, realized this was the same terrific actor, and I was off. A story idea came, nagged, persisted, and finally I caved and wrote it down. In the process of posting it here, I met some wonderful people and became part of a great little community. We did NaNo together this past year and had a blast!
It was also hubby who introduced me to Doctor Who. He became a fan in the 1990s, watching old episodes of the original on PBS on Saturday nights. He showed me several of them and, despite tracking issues with ancient video-tapes and laughable special effects, I enjoyed them. He was over the moon when he learned the show was being revived and I caught some of his enthusiasm. When we actually watched the episodes - well, I was blown away. The special effects were great, the stories had more depth, and the actors were terrific. I've enjoyed the show ever since, but things became obsessive when Matt Smith started in the role (to the point of adding BBC America to our cable line up just so we could see the Christmas ep on December 25th). Eleven is definitely my favorite Doctor to date. (I rank them like this: 11>1-9, varying in order depending on who I've just watched>10)
I sneak my writing in wherever and whenever I can - during quiet moments at work, on my lunch-hours, evenings, weekends. Have flash-drive, will write - that's me. Reviews make my day - I love 'em and I will respond to them so please don't be shy.
