![]() Author has written 40 stories for Sonic the Hedgehog, Final Fantasy I-VI, NiGHTS, Mega Man, Grim and Evil, Ninja Turtles, Mario, Naruto, Digimon, and Undertale. Wow, it's been a while since I've updated this. So, on with the introductions... I always feel like the greatest motivation I've had for writing fanfiction has been "wasted potential." I have seen countless times where the setup for a good idea has been poorly handled. The result is the desire to resurrect that idea and handle it better this time. Another inspiration is the "What if?". What if X had happened instead of Y? How would this affect the world/characters/etc? Finally, the sandbox. Have a great world with great potential for stories? I'm there. If you do take a look at fanfiction centered around Anime, you'll find a great deal of Naruto fiction focuses on reinventing Naruto himself (probably due to that lost potential I spoke of) while One Piece fanfiction tends to center around people making their own crews to explore the world with, typically using a mixture of minor characters and OCs. It's the different kinds of potential they have. Wasted vs. Unexplored. I like to explore the head space in which the characters I write for exist. If I'm working with an established character, I try to stay in character with them - to the point where differences exist. If I said Y happened instead, how would Character X react? Looking over some of my past work, I can see the melodrama and places where I screwed up, but a lot of what I kept here I'm still proud of. Below, I will keep a record of the "Shadow in Love" series which I didn't really expect to expound on. And while Sonic is definitely the thing I have the most material on, I've been on a Digimon kick and due to some games, rewatching of series, and friends I've had, I've decided to dive into that world too. In Curious D.A.T.S. Agent; Negami, I use a fan character centered in the world of Digimon Savers/Data Squad as a main protagonist. While Marcus and other recognized characters will be appearing in the course of the story, please note that any fan characters I make are not intended to steal the light away from them. I may also mix up terms between English and Japanese depending on which I deem more relevant and this is my interpretation of how the world works. I've had a number of people who like Shadow in Love say they enjoy my fan character Sara, so I hope you'll grow to like Negami too. That said, you want to know more about me? My tastes have changed over time, and though the below statements still hold mostly true, I'd like to amend things here. 1. I've become more of a PC gamer in recent years, though I still love a good side scroller or rhythm game. Shovel Knight is amazing and you should smack yourself for not having checked it out yet. (if you have, kudos!). 2. My anime diet has greatly expanded thanks to websites like Crunchyroll and among my current favorites are Eureka Seven, Durarara, Chihayafuru and Natsume Yuujincho. 3. ... You should all watch Kamen Rider. CHOU HENSHIN! (I had a point here... what was it again?)
I created what I call the "Shadow in Love Series" which as yet includes 5 main titles. Some of them have one or more side story which takes place either before, after, or during events in other stories. 1. Flirting Shadows - Shadow/OC (Sara) pairing. Please give it a chance. 1a. First Dates - 4 chapters of how things went from Shadow and Sara dating to mating. -shot for rhyming- 2. Ups and Downs - Shadow's trying to raise a family while a villain is trying to destroy the past and rule the future. 2a. Memoirs of a Robot - Eggman robot E-91, Kunoichi, is the star of this oneshot explaining her perspective on events in Ups and Downs and giving background to events impacting Little Things. 3. Raising Maria - Seems that people liked Shadow's family enough to want to see how Maria grew up. 4. Little Things - "Little Things" and "Ups and Downs" were meant to be well, little things. Short stories about small, inconsequential events in Shadow and Sara's life. As small as talk about bellybuttons to cleaning up after puking babies. Well, it's no little thing. Shadow's son Ash stole the limelight after getting thrown to the wayside in Raising Maria. (Hey, it wasn't titled "Raising Ash") 4a. Hearing Aid - Blitz and Rift (Sonic's sons) got banged up worse than Shadow's family at the end of Little Things. Hearing Aid gets to check in on Rift and tie up his story while showing how the rest of the family's been coping. 4b. Healing Wish - And I crippled Sonic. And Sonic has to cope. XD Hey, I said Sonic's family got banged up a bit. Go METAL! 4c. Midsummer Night's Breeze - A peaceful and short (for once!) recap on what everyone's up to after all's said and done in Little Things. Sadly, I thought this might be the end of things, but it's not. Actually, there's more than this, but I haven't or don't plan on releasing it. 4d. Omedetou Tanjoubi Shadou-kun! Happy Birthday Shadow! - Oneshot. It actually falls somewhere after Ash is born but before Ayame is born, just a little Sara/Shadow interaction thing. 5. Misadventures in Eggman Land - For those of you who wanted to check in on little Ayame, she's a brat and probably going to destroy the world. Way to go Shadow; you the man now dog! 6. Shadow's Nightmare, The Biological Revolution Halloween oneshot. Don't expect a happy ending. My latest story Angel Wings stars canon characters only, with a guest appearance by a certain OC who seems to bind all my stories together these days lol. Work in progress currently is Iruka's Child, my first Naruto story. -Gasp- it's not Sonic? Nope! :3 |
