![]() Author has written 69 stories for Star Trek: 2009, and Pride and Prejudice. Botsey A mother of two, grandmother of four. (our first and possibly only grandson was born almost four months ago. He is huge, looks like a football player already. He will have to get a job once he graduates from breast milk) We originally lived in NYC, a northern transplant to the Commonwealth of Virginia. My 93 year old mother passed in Decmber of 2011. She introduced us to Star Trek in the 60's. My sister, M'Celeste and I had taken Mom to see ST2009. Seated behind us was an gray haired couple with a young boy--likely present to add legitimacy to their presence. :}. Before the movie we talked and we introduced our mother as possibly the oldest Star Trek fan. After the movie we talked again and then my sister, Mom and I made our way slowly to the exit--Mom used a walker. As we stepped to the curb outside the theatre, a car pulled up, stopped and the elderly couple leaned over, gave my mother the Vulcan salute and said those glorious words 'Live Long and Prosper'--it made my mother's month. Could not have made up a better story. MY DISCLAIMER I DO NOT OWN STAR TREK (none of us do) If I could awake tomorrow With just one heartfelt wish fulfilled I'd wish to see my solvency And would not even owe one bill My many holdings would include A masive fleet to search the stars With everything within my reach From Antares to nearby Mars But since these are mere fantisies From dear Fan Fic wrtier's great minds Our voyages are virtual ones 'Cross the vastness of space and time We cannot own or profit from Our Gene's great uniververse, the best But we can gain by putting our Creativity to the test I will not profit, not a dime Not one small penny for my works This is true of each one of us But you know we still have some perks Have YOU laughed or cried, moaned or sobbed At something that's been written here Then join the cheeing Fan Fic crowd Money's not everything, my dear |
