![]() Author has written 10 stories for Harry Potter, and Warhammer. Many years ago I discovered (probably around 2007) fan-fiction completley by accident, and when I got over the initial shock of seeing familiar characters doing unfamiliar things I was hooked, reading everything I could get my sweaty paws, on for hours every day (like to the point I would just read fan-fic all day given the oppurtunity, not really very healthy) most of it was Harry Potter, every genre and every style you can thing of. I spent years lurking on this web-site, just reading fics, becoming more and more frustrated that I just couldn't find "The One" that I wnated to read, that perfect, amazing, and above all finished story that would satisfy my fan-fic craving. I would find a story, it would start of promising then the plot would go off in a strange direction, the characters would do things that I didn't understand...and so I set out to write my own "perfect" story, kicking into life a desire to write fiction that had lain dormant for over fifteen years... My fic favourites are time-travel and dark!Harry, I also love crossovers. Is there anything you can't cross HP with? I'm willing to find out. Why is Inquisitor Carrow also a Space Marine? I was initial inspired by the character of Inquisitor Lord Hector Rex who can be found in Imperial Armour Vol:7 The Siege of Vraks - part 3, on pages 122-125. Lord Inquisitor Hector Rex works for the Ordos Malleus and is described as having undergone "a similair genetic enhancement to that of a Space Marine." He is further described as towering "8' tall, is heavily muscled and is in superb condition." He is also a powerful psyker who has undergone terminator training...all in all a very scary customer. Hector Rex has obviously been made to order as a powerful tool for the Ordos Malleus to wield against the forces of Chaos...so, what if a rogue Inquisitor who was owed a favor by a Space Marine chapter tried to make his own? And this was how Carrow initial came to be... Harry's new father was busily going off the rails, this becoming clearer when he forces the Charnel Guard, who owe him a favor to take Harry on as a potential aspirant. As Harry becomes one with his new family, his father goes off the rails completely and is hunted down by his brother Inquisitors who, to aid in their search come looking for their prey's adopted son...who proceeds to prove himself a worthy tool for the Inquisition...there's a novel in here somewhere I'm certain. And so several hundred years later you are left with Inquisitor Carrow, all round menace to the enemies of Humanity, who is both an Inquisitor and an honorary brother of the Charnel Guard, (you might be able to take the Space Marine out of the Chapter but you can't take the Chapter out of the Space Marine :-D ) who has a nasty meeting with an Eldar Wytch... UK Airspace I noticed in the reviews a number of people expressing surprise that someone would need permission for flight tests. I'm pretty certain in the UK they would. We have one of the most crowded air-spaces in the world, with major air-traffic lanes passing all over the country as well as numerous very busy airports serving international air traffic. I live near one. That's before you even get on to the private and military traffic, the people with with paragliders, microlights and handgliders... Here's an interesting animation that shows just how extreme the situation is... http:///blog/2014/11/take-guided-tour-uk-skies/ |
