Author has written 11 stories for Code Geass, Alex Rider, Fairy Tail, and Shingeki no Kyojin/進撃の巨人.
Note: my pen name was BonsaiTree. Then I changed it to KetchupApple. Then I changed it back. I'll probably continue to change it randomly on any whim...
Hey there. If you're reading this, I'm going to assume that one of my stories caught your eye. If so, feel free to scroll down for info about them. Otherwise, if you have some time to kill...
Most recent source of feels: Tokyo Ghoul :re
cries in a corner
Also, soundtracks. Attack on Titan has a fantastic one. So does Tokyo Ghoul. HTTYD. Many others.
By the way, it seems I've fallen into what I call the "shipper trap". Seeing ships everywhere. And I'm starting to see the appeal of many of these male/male couples. The goddess is cruel to present such a trial.
Pet Peeves/Stuff that pisses me off
Bad grammar. Spelling errors. Any mistake that could be fixed easily. Of course, I'm not an exception in any way. Sometimes I look back at my writing and say: what the hell is wrong with you?
Really, if you're going to spend the time and effort to write something in the first place, you might as well do it properly. Check over for spelling mistakes, add in missing punctuation, even take a minute or two to check a grammar rule. Please. It always saddens me when a good idea is put to waste by atrocious writing conventions.
Another thing: summaries. You know, that little bit of text that appears under your story title? Yeah. It's the first thing anyone sees of your story. If you have mistakes in that, it seriously puts some people (like me) off clicking. I'd be thinking: if you aren't even willingly to spend the effort to correct two sentences, I'll probably have to wade through tons of bad grammar and spelling to get to the actual story. No thanks.
It's many times worse if there are mistakes in the titles.
And don't say you're bad at writing summaries. One of the first reviews I received gave me this valuable piece of advice. See above: if you can't write summaries, how well are you going to do writing a story? I do understand that writing a catchy summary is not the easiest thing, but we're mostly all equal there anyway.
Next: hypocrites. Perhaps you may be thinking that I am being one right now, with my terrible cliched writing and what not. But at least I acknowledge that I also make the mistakes that I hate to see others making. So maybe I should rephrase: arrogant hypocrites. Some people think they are above everyone else, putting down other opinions harshly and sometimes without good reason to back it.
Tying into that is something that could either make me extremely frustrated for human kind or make me laugh, depending on my mood. Reviews or comments that try to sound knowledgeable and sophisticated but have a million mistakes in it.
Even so, I do in fact appreciate that people take the time to let me know that there are actually people reading my stuff. So thank you, reviewers.
Snippets: on-going. Feel free to send any prompts that come to mind or scenarios you want to see. I have a theory that the new system that allows you to sort the stories by favourites and follows is very beneficial to the already well-established stories. Not so much for the new ones. Honestly, I'm disappointed by the response to this story, but oh well. C'est la vie. [04/07/2013]
Inevitable: in progress, extremely, unbelievably slowly. I'd planned on doing more over breaks but I've just been too busy. And also, I've fallen back into the "I hate my writing, why is this so bad?" slump. I'll have to go digging for inspiration. [09/02/2013]
Anger Issues: complete, retouched. Some have asked for a follow-up. Maybe, if I come up with anything. It all depends on if I ever get any inspiration. That said, I'd be happy to hear suggestions if you've got any (PM me!).
Coincidental: complete, now with a second part.
Precious Memories, Shattered Peace: being rewritten, as of Jan. 02, 2014. Looking for a new title, too, so if anyone's got any ideas...is anyone even going to read this (this profile or the actual story)? I have a feeling the answer is no.
