Poll: Would you read a very AU Supernatural "CSI: Miami" fic? Vote Now!
Author has written 14 stories for Twilight, and CSI: Miami.
Hey,the name's Mel, I'm an Irish teen and that's the only personal info I offer to you, random internet stranger ;)
So far, I've written fanfics for Twilight and CSI: Miami. However, I am developing an interest in Criminal Minds and Pretty Little Liars, and hope to publish some fics in those fandoms too. ;)
My personal taste in stories would involve a plot that sticks to the morals of the fandom whilst telling an interesting tale. Stories that involve character-growth and cleverly used suspense will always end up on my favorites list below, where's poorly-written or non thought-out stories will only earn a honest, critical review.
Call me depressing, but unless it's well-written, or perhaps a one-shot, I normally won't read lovey-dovey, mushy fluff. I'm normally drawn to stories that involve my favorite character(s) having to overcome a challange of some sort, being a injury during a case (Miami and CM) or threat of some form to them or a suspenceful effort to protect a loved one. Stories that are realistic and thought-out are always a treat, where's senseless story-telling with un-needed, over-the-top sadisim are not what I'd normally like.
In regards to the cancellation of CSI Miami:
In all honesty, I was not shocked to hear Season 10 was Miami's last, but I am none the less saddened to hear that we'll never see anymore of the once great team. Despite this, I will continue to write for this fandom till I'm all out of ideas whether it be an AU fic or canon stories that range from every season.
And in regards to Rick Stetler, I mourned his loss the greatest in Season 8. The actor was amazing as was the character, plus he was the only one that kept the team in line and provided great in-lab drama. Therefore, no matter what season my story is set in, if I need an IAB guy, it shall be Rick Stetler.
Hey, what can I say! Authors love reviews and if one tells you they don't, they're lying or must think they are God's gift to writing. Authors' crave constant reassurance that their work is what the reader wants. I for one love a review, it lets me know that I'm on the right track with what I'm writing; if a particular pairing is liked, if my comedic scenes are better than my drama scenes and so on. The more detailed the review is, the happier it makes the author. We write for you's to enjoy, so why not let us know if you did?
As much as I love those who follow and fav stories (I giggle when I'm the one who's followed/fav'ed =D) a well written review always brightens my day, even the critical ones. For one it lets me know someone has taken the effort to not only read my story, but also take the time to evaluate it and try help me improve it. But, if you only want to say "I like this story" then go ahead, it lets me know whatever I'm doing must be right for you. And I hold any review in the highest regard, the second I read it I always reply to the reviewer, to thank them for praises, discuss their criticism and hear their thoughts/ideas about the story's future.
I for one swear to always take the time to review every fic I read honestly, and I'd love it if you would do the same :D
Twilight: Alice and Jacob are my favorite characters of Twilight. I adore the two seperately and (if suiting) together ;) Jasper is another fav of mine though Alice is my top favorite character ;)
CSI Miami: Natalia and Ryan are my favorite Miamian CSIs :) Although I ship them together, I also read/write them as just friends too ;) These two will star most of my CSI: Miami fics. ;)
Criminal Minds: I love the whole cast of Criminal Minds - although JJ and Garcia stand out as my top favorites. Therefore, the majority of my CM writing will be focused on JJ, Garcia or else the full team equally. ;)
Pretty Little Liars: Emily is my favorite Pretty Little Liar, I find her storylines and persona character interesting and entertaining to watch; not to forget, she's absolutely beautiful ;)
Hellcats: Although I haven't been watching this long, Marti and Savanah are my favorite Hellcats. Both characters have interesting backgrounds and strong personalities, not to mention a great rapour with each other.
Desperate Housewives: Gabby! :) I love Eva Longoria, her portrayal of Gabby is amazing no matter what emotion she is showing. Gabby's history is quite interesting and her comidic persona is hilarious! :)
Any Story Requests you have, you can PM me. I promise to resond to all requests ;)
Other than that, happy readings! :)
As I stated in my CSI: Miami story "Revenge is a dish best served Russian", here is the sniper rifle our Assassin favors ;) enjoy ;)
For those of you curious about Demetri Valcross, Aaron Vincent and Officer Blake from the Revenge trilogy, here is a link to albums of them, also containing some backround stories.
Guest stars of Backstabbers in order of apperance:
Jenny Watkins... Hayden Panettiere
Andy Mason... Kevin McZegers
Okay, I've seen this on profiles and it's actually handy, so, to start off 2011, heres a little calander of progress ;)
So here's the start of the calander, so far, I've 10 stories, 2 not completed. One Sounds of Screaming, my CSI story, will be ending soon while my Twilight story, Jacob vs. Jasper seems to be on hiadus forever :( Since this is the start I obviously have nothing new to post so...till next time ;)
Sounds of Screaming is now complete...I feel lost :S But still, the show must go on as will my stories ;) I hope to make some progress on my FanFiction challange (shown above) and post a few of more of my Twilight stories I have in the wings. Of course exams are approaching so story progress will be slow but never fear, an update is always near ;)
Till next time =) Keep checking in for any updates on story news :)
Okay, I need help here from anyone who can offer it! I have 55 CSI Miami story ideas, and over 30 Twilight ideas, and now that my CSI: Miami - The Revenge Trilogy is finished, I don't know which idea (or fandom!) I should write next! So, above my profile is a poll for CSI Miami. Please vote, it'll help get fics out of me quicker ;) And also PM me if your looking for a Twilight fic, I can tell you if I have a fitting idea in the wings and that'll also help me decide which story to write next.
Please people! I'm so torn between these plentful of ideas, I don't know where to start! Help!
Just posted a new Twilight one-shot Faceless. It is an Edward-angst fic set pre-Twilight, during Edward's troubling period after leaving Carlise and Esme and hunting crimnals. It wasn't originally meant as a story, but a bit of editing made it possible. It was schoolwork (which seems to be the only thing I have time for these days) but also, I wanted to publish a fic soon as I may not be able to publish one till after June.
After reciving my English exam paper back (82%!!!!), I put up the version of Faceless I originally used for the exam so there are some differences (I'd say improvements, as it earned 68 out of 70 on my paper ;) - Tell me what you think guys of the new and improved Faceless. (And thank you to those who have reveiwed :)
Just posted the first chapter of my latest Miami installment Backstabbers. This fic will be episode-based and revolves around the case of a young rising star attacked and left for dead by an unknown assailent. The team struggle to find this aggressor as well as their motive while discovering many secrets and disturbing facts about the "glamours" world of showbiz.
Backstabbers is now complete (finally!) and seems to have been a sucess. I'd like to thank everyone who read, reveiwed, alerted and favorited the story - and was pacient with my terrible update rate ;) Thank you all!
As for my next fic, I'm unsure when it'll be up. It will be another Miami fic, although it will be completely AU. I can't disclose details in fear of story-stealers (>:/) however, I can tell you that I think it'll be my best work yet! I cannot wait to share it with you, I'm very excited about it!!!!! :)
Till then, Happy Summer guys!
Wow, it has been a long, long time. However at least the year break wasn't a waste, I've been developing an AU CSI: Miami story that has now been posted. I've taking a lot of care and thought into account when writing this piece, so I hope you enjoy it =D
