Hey, hey!

I'm a pre-vet student finishing my sophomore year and working hard to get a DVM in exotic animal care! Fanfiction.net is a primary point of relaxation for me so you may notice I do an awful lot more reading than publishing.

I've been on this site for almost 8 years now, I think, so I have quite the extensive list of favorites and, I've even somehow picked up a few precious fans. If you regularly read/review my works, doubtless I've come to recognize you. So if I ever get overly friendly with some newcomers I apologize and I hope I haven't made you uncomfortable.

At the bottom I'll try to keep a short paragraph of paraphrased "current events" updated so my more curious followers can be assured that I'm not literally dead yet and why my hiatus is taking so much time. (I USED to have some annual time OFF but nOT ANYMORE. #cryinginside)

I've been much more absent than usual these past two years because I've been working on a story- a novel, really, that I plan on publishing. It was SUPPOSED to be finished this year and published in January of next but I need more time to work on it so that's not going to happen. It's still got a lot of work left to be done.

Because I'm a broke college student my primary focus is on that story as it promises more income than any fanfiction I publish. Which irks me endlessly. If anyone knows why fanart is legal and fanfiction is not please feel free to share, I'd benefit greatly from that sort of insight.

It's the 21st century kids, and living ain't like what it used to be here in the US. I love you all and I'm here if you need to talk to someone. Just be aware that I may not get back to you as fast as preferred due to the precedence of my own life.

Current Events:

It was a three day weekend but I had appointments Sat and Sun and though I set an alarm to wake up early so I could work on the story on Monday I accidentally slept in until 4 PM again. :/ I hate it when that happens and I do what I can to prevent it but sometimes the body just makes an executive decision - consequences be damned. To make up for it I spent 35-ish minutes working on chapter 8 tonight and got about 300~ish words in. I had to take out some things otherwise there would be more.

Gosh, the days are really running by...

While I'm going to continue working on how best to manage my time so I can work on the story enough to keep it going I am also busy with house hunting and financial management. Either a) I'll work out a rhythm and stick to it or b) I'll use my midday lunch break to work on it. There's also a chance of c) I end up never having enough free time and energy to work on this thing and we all waste away into disappointed ashes.
