Author has written 12 stories for CSI, and Law and Order: SVU.
Here is the Manassas, Virginia grave that inspired the story, Baby's Breath. We've erased the last name, but the dates are: June 30, 1931 - November 17, 1931. This baby actually lived 4 and 1/2 months, 78 years ago. And yet, when this photo was taken four weeks ago, there were fresh pansies on the grave, and the toys from the summer had been replaced. Did someone come and replace the toys, leave the flowers? You can enlarge the image by using your mouse.
I'm Moochiecat and I've been reading the ff.net for about a year. I'm unbelievably impressed with the writing talent I've encountered here. I''ve always loved Pairie24's stories and we started emailing each other awhile back. I told her that I had a Halloween idea based on the above grave. (Yeah, I've been photgraphing the grave for about 4 years. What can I say, I adore old cemeteries). And she said, "Let's write it." So, I got thrown into writing, whilly nilly, LOL!
I was born an illegitmate kid in Dublin, Ireland. Got dumped into the Irish (read: Irish Catholic Church's) adoption system. (Now that's a story I should write!) I got lucky and ended up in the U.S. Received a great education and worked as a Trusts & Estates Accountant for 16 years. Now I'm working a part--time job for steady money, and helping my husband run our "Mom and Pop" welding company. I'm in my mid 50's (That's the new 40's, right? LOL) My interests are: Collecting Coca Cola memorabilia, reading mystery novels, writing (when someone like Prairie goads me to it). trying to visit every Civil War Battlefield I can get to; antiques, and my animals. (Hey, I didn't have kids; I have cats and one, dog LOL!)
And now it's my turn. I'm Prairie24, and I've been reading stories on ff.net for a long time, but only posting stories for about a year and a half. My favorites to write are CSI and Law and Order: SVU. My pen name comes from my chocolate lab, Prairie (named after the Little House books) and Jeff Gordon's car number, 24. Besides Prairie, the other love of my life is a flashy fawn boxer named Grissom Nicholas. Bet you can guess who he was named after.
Thanks for reading, and we love reviews!
