Author has written 20 stories for Harry Potter, and Pong.
Hello peoples of the Internets.
My profile was getting way too long (it was something ridiculous like 20 pages on Word. Yeah, don't ask me why I checked.), so I've decided to just tell a little about myself and my stories. AKA- I'm going to try really really hard not to put any copy-pasty things on here.
First of all, I'd like to say that if you just randomly found this page of the Google or something of the like- Turn back now. Seriously. FanFic (both reading and writing it.) is dangerously addictive and spreads quickly. You will find yourself spending hours a day simply surfing the archives or trying to contain your plot bunnies. Go. Leave. Now.
Are they gone yet?
Oh, who am I kidding. Although I was an unsuspecting youngster when I first found FF.net, I have grown to love it like the puppy I never had.
I started writing FanFic not that long ago, and though most of it is probably either crappy or utterly stupid (or both.), it's fun and gives me something to do. And it gets rid of the bunnies. I guess you could call this my personal mind dumpster- Probably more for my sake than yours, but whatever.
I have also joined a highly addictive forum called the HP FF Challenges Forum. Check it out, it's fun.
I'm old enough to be on here legally yet not old enough to be out of high school. I'm still just a youngster, I am. Luckily, I'm still pretty good with spelling/grammar/punctuation/whatever else you could think of as a problem.
Need a beta? Drop me a line, either through email or PMing. I'm happy to do it, and I'll get it back to you ASAP.
I live in beautiful (and sometimes not-so-beautiful) Western Massachusetts. I go to a magnificent school that, frankly, I don't feel comfortable mentioning the name of online. Nothing personal, just easier to find me.
I go by many names, but you are welcome to call me either of two: Maggie or RDucky- AKA- My username. I'm not too crazy about others.
My friend Rachel occasionally drops by and more than occasionally has me post stories of hers on my account because, like me, she's kind of hooked on this site, too. But, as you can see, most of those stories are older. What does that mean, you ask? She now has an account on here! Go ahead, click the nice little favorite authors button on my page down there that says 'orangerachel.' She even has a South Park story which, if I may say, is fabulous (I might be a bit bias though. I helped her with it).
I'm a self-proclaimed Potter nerd. My friends are, in a word, not, however. That's why the great number of stories I have on here not written exclusively by me are not HP, as are most of the fics by me. Rachel is making some great progress, though. (Shut up, Rachel.)
I have a horrible habit of skipping around fandoms like they're lumps of hot coal. I always manage to come back and have fun pretty often, though.
Oh, yeah, and I deleted all of my Pointless Stories Series. If you miss them... I'm pretty sure you're completely alone in that opinion, but if you want I'll send you a Word document or something. Not that I think anyone will but might as well be sure.
Yeah, I think that's about it. On to the stories!

A.K.A.- Stories that aren't exactly original, but uber fun to write. They're all HP, so instead of having the fandom, I will have the challenge that was given.
I. Slytherin Christmas Challenge- Personal Challenge- Complete
My first (and only, as of right now.) Dramione fic. Also my first ever challenge, back from the day when I was unable to come up with an original name. It's Christmas-y, as said bad title suggests. Pretty out there, but I still like it.
II. Voldemort's MidLife Crisis- Bored Challenge- Complete
This is definitely a crack!fic. What made me realize I love writing a OOC-but-kind-of-possible-when-nobody's-looking Voldemort. Includes Death Eaters who can't hold their alcohol, hints of Drunk!Lucius and Slutty!Bellatrix. EDIT: I am considering writing a sequel to this in which instead of Snape 'Going to an Order meeting.' sticks around for a bit to hear a bit more of Voldemort's story. It will be stupid and obvious to anyone reading that I'm just writing it to get over writer's block, but... thoughts?
III. Power- The 'I'd Never Write A Story Like That' Challenge- In Progress/Complete
PLEASE Read this story. I promise I won't beg you to read any others. This is my all time favorite story that I have written. It was also the most difficult. Its an Evil!Betraying!Sirius story with Sirius/Bellatrix as the pairing. Yeah, I know, I really should hate it with everything I've got, but I just don't. I'm really proud of it and am considering continuing it. The only problem is that I pretty much went into shock as I wrote the original. Anyway, please read it. You won't regret it, especially if you like the pairing.
IV. Bothering Snape- The 'Let's Go Bother Snape' Challenge- In Progress/Complete
One thing I learned from this story- Trelawney is really fun to write, especially if she's in character. She's now one of my favorite characters to write, and even though this is pretty crack-y, everyone (except McGonnagal.) is pretty much in character. I'd like to make this a three-shot or possibly longer, but I'm a bit stuck. I'll work on it.
V. Birth Of A Dark Lord- Valentine's Day Challenge- Complete
Writing Voldemort/OC is HARD. Actually, writing OC in general is hard. I think I took one of the most difficult pairings out there, but from some of the reviews, I guess I did pretty good.
VI. Spells and Green Eyes- 'What You'd Never Write' Challenge- Complete
A Sirius/Lily story was my challenge. Basically, Sirius is Harry's father. Absolutely nothing changes, though, because absolutely no one knows. Surprisingly canon complaint in comparison to other things I could have done with this pairing. I'm not as fond of this as I am of my other 'What the Hell?' (as I fondly call that kind of challenge) challenge response, but it's a short, moderately cute/angsty read. Not completely horrible, I suppose, but not my best, either.
VII. A Word of Advice- 'Kissing In The Rain' Challenge- Complete
Set right after Snape's Worst Memory. The premise was that someone needed to comfort and/or talk to Lily after Snape called her a Mudblood. Since she obviously couldn't talk to Snape or the Marauder's about it, I decided to (as many FanFic writers do) walk a completely different path and have Regulus Black comfort/talk to her (if for no other reason then because Regulus/Lily was my assigned pairing). It's not romantic, but friendly and thankful and, if I may say so, COMPLETELY adorable.
VIII. A Friendship Most Uncommon- The 'Creative' Challenge- Complete
I managed to write a Lily/Luna friendship story that's about as canon a humanly possible. I have issues. Luna gets the resurrection stone for Harry from the Forbidden Forest after the Final Battle, but has a chat with Lily first.
IX. Noticing- 'Professor Flitwick's Prompt of the Day' on the Hogwarts Online Forum (May 12, 2010)- Complete
My prompt was Mind Games, so I tried my hand at writing a Snape/Hermione. Since a few people have asked, No, I will not be continuing this under any circumstances- It ends in a cliffhanger. Anything could happen after it ends. I know, that was the point. I wanted people to think about it, try to figure it out, even though there was no right or wrong answer. mostly in reference to the prompt I had to work with. 'Was Snape imagining things? Does Hermione get offended? Do they get together? What?' My main goal was to get you to ask these questions to yourself. I really wanted more left unsaid then there was actually said and for you to try and figure it out for yourself. I wanted to play around with you guys a bit, hence, Mind Games. Anyway, I liked writing it, and, frankly, I'm still not sure how I want it to go, so don't ask. I'm between them getting together, Snape completely imagining it and Hermione going ballistic when he mentions it, and him simply dismissing her from his office and thinking nothing more of it, if you must know.
X. The Gray Area- Crayola Colors Challenge- Complete
My color was gray. Snape thinks about the barrier between the Dark and Light and isn't sure what side he really is on.
XI. What Happens In Vegas- Personal Challenge/Homework over at the Hogwarts Online Forum- Complete
My very first (and possibly last) Draco/Ginny. It was fun, don't get me wrong, but I don't think I quite got Ginny down right. I might revisit it later, but then again I like it just the way it is. It's set in Las Vegas, which was fun to write (having never been there, but heard many stories of it, it was fun to imagine them there). This is another of my stories which I truly meant to wonderfully romantic but turned out to be simply more of a friendship. Oh well, I suppose.
XII. Root of All Evil- Bad Summaries Challenge- Complete
The summary I chose for the story was 'Two duelists meet in the dead of night. On the battleground, they stand, awaiting the dance fever to overtake them.' Crazy, right? But, was it too crazy to actually write about. No. I managed to. And had a great time writing it, too. It's a new twist on the Final Battle- less people, same Voldemort, and one helluva spell.
A.K.A.- Well, whaddaya know? Sometimes, I'm actually original! Wow!
I. Karma- Harry Potter- Complete
This was my first ever story. It's chock full of bad grammar, bad characterization, and completely based off of a horrible/overly used pun. I was going to get rid of it, but I just can't- it's what got me started, OK? It's like that sad puppy by the side of the road- it's ugly and embarrasses you in front of people, but you just can't help but love it.
II. Remus Lupin and the Discovery of the Internet- Harry Potter- In Progress
My dearest reviewers, I must ask you this question- why in Hell is this my top reviewed story? I like it, don't get me wrong, but why? It was inspired by chocolate calculators, for Heavens sakes! But, I did bring Sirius back, so that does make me happy. Maybe I'll continue it... If I'm really bored at some point and am not completely blanking the original idea I had for this one.
III.When Harry Potter Met Monty Python- Harry Potter- Complete
Oh yes, another of my 'earlier' works. My only explanation is that I was really into parodies and stupid humor stories for quite a bit and I really only recently got out of that... habit... and have gotten into more serious types of writing. Don't get me wrong, this was probably one of the best of that bunch, albeit completely moronic. It does have some pop culture references Harry and Ron use (as well as them using a laptop computer at Hogwarts.) but this is the only story I can remember that actually takes the five seconds to explain and patch up that gaping plot hole. Does that count for anything? Anyway, I do like it, and all I can really say about it months after writing it is 'I can't believe I forgot the argument clinic.'
IV. Things I'm Not Allowed To Do At Hogwarts- Harry Potter- In Progress
Pretty self explanatory (at least to anyone who would actually read it.)- I wrote little snippets of what I think would happen to the characters if they were to do some of the things on the list of things you shouldn't do. It's got to be one of hundreds of these kinds of stories, really. But, as an added bonus, mine has a CompletelyAwesome!Neville, WriterAbused!SlightlyAwesome!Snape, and a CompletelyWriterAbused!Draco Malfoy. Probably quite OOC, but what story of this kind isn't? I also might continue this story... eventually... If I happen to be completely and totally bored enough to look through tons of ideas.
V. Voldemort's Weird Adventure- Harry Potter/Pong Crossover- Complete
Yeah, I have NO clue. Like, at all. I think I was looking at the Pong crossover section (Which in and of itself is just plain weird.) and noticed there was a Pong/Twilight Crossover. Then, in my twisted mind, thought, 'hmm, there's a Twilight crossover, but no Harry Potter... I should make one!' So, in about fifteen minutes this was born (Around midnight, if I'm not mistaken.) and then I promptly fell asleep. When I woke up the next morning, I found this in a notebook. Basically, Voldy inexplicably gets trapped inside a game of Pong, gets pissed off, blames Lucius, and then blows up the TV set it is being played on. That's all I have to say.
VI. In Which Harry Gets Around- Harry Potter- In Progress
Oh? What's this? Is this- I think it is! It's a new original AND multi-chapter story I'm working on, and hope to not abandon! This one is a parody of all those 'Harry is a Veela and has a mate.' stories. The difference is that Harry is a completely sarcastic teenage boy in this. Meaning, probably completely realistic considering the scenario. This doesn't really have an actual timeline, since Voldemort's dead but Harry is not yet of age. Also, I have the ending all figured out, I just have to figure out how to get from the beginning to the end, and this won't be a short fic. If your reading this one, bear with me, it will all be written eventually, I promise.
VII. Luna's Infinite Wisdom- Harry Potter- Complete
Lookie, lookie. I wrote a non-challenge oneshot for the fist time since... An Unexpected Question. And the first Harry Potter/original non-challenge since Voldemort's Weird Adventure. It's mildly cracky with everyone still being almost completely in character (with the exception of Ron for one line). It's a Dramione Head Boy/Girl fic with Luna, of all people, calling them out for it- without them even realizing anything. Quite fun to write, actually. And don't ask me the timeline- I think it fits in with practically every other like it, if everyone in Harry's year had to go back to repeat, but I'm not entirely sure.
