Author has written 16 stories for D N Angel, Detective Conan/Case Closed, Harry Potter, Card Captor Sakura, Death Note, Doctor Who, Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne, Fullmetal Alchemist, and Sherlock.
Hello! My name is Leah, although any nickname based on my username is cool too. I am 20 years old as of June 2016 and going to college now and will hopefully be in medical school in a few years.
I like to think of myself as a decent writer, but I often get writer's block and sometimes I just get disenchanted with a particular pairing or story. If you happen to spot anything that strikes you as dialogue-heavy or any other things that makes my stories more difficult to read, please feel free to point them out. My tenses have a habit of wandering mid-story, which I'm also working on. I'm very unreliable with my writing, so updates tend to have a while between them, especially with longer chapters.
I'm not as fond of some of my older works, so while they won't be coming down, they probably won't get priority for any sort of writing. I plan on finishing everything eventually, but it likely won't be for a while.
I am kind of sarcastic in real life, but try to avoid it online. I ramble a bit when I get excited about things or when I know about things and want to share, so you can tell me to tone that down. Promise I won't get offended unless you're rude about it.
I want to learn Spanish, but I'm not very good at learning new languages, so it's not going too quickly. I also want to learn German, but some of the sounds are so hard, so that's kind of been put on the backburner. Japanese is also on the backburner due to lack of applicability currently.
My Fandoms Include: 1/2 Prince (Novels and Manhua), Alice in Wonderland (2010 version), Avengers, CardCaptor Sakura, Death Note, Detective Conan, Doctor Horrible's Sing-Along Blog, Doctor Who, Durarara!! (I'm starting the novels), Easy A, FullMetal Alchemist (Both versions), Harry Potter (Films and Books, though mostly the books), Hikaru no Go, Inception, Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne, Kuroshitsuji, Legend of the Sun Knight (Novels and Manhua), Les Miserables (all versions - book, musical, movie), Little Mermaid, Mulan, Ouran High School Host Club, Prince of Tennis, Saint Tail, Sherlock (The original stories and the BBC version), Spirited Away, Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles, X-Men (movies), Yu-Gi-Oh
Pairings I Like (And Am Therefore More Likely To Write) Include:
Notes: (Unspecified Date, Near December 17th, 2009): I just moved and I had to transfer schools and I have to take midterms/finals and all, so slow updates right now. I also have a severe case of writer's block. Any ideas for the stories are welcome!
June 16th, 2011: Sorry I haven't update in a while! I feel like such a bad author... Anyways, I'm putting up a few one-shots I completed, so please review!
December 1st, 2011: Put up a few one-shots a few days ago, hope you enjoy. To those reading The Thief Angel, please look below. I'm currently working on Twenty-Six Themes and after that, I have a few stories in the works for different fandoms. I'll see which ones I can think of places to go with and I should be posting a lot throughout December if everything goes according to plan.
December 28th, 2011: Oh goodness, I managed to get rather behind in school. That has to take priority, so while the plot bunnies are bugging me, I have work to do. This'll probably last until around January 8th if I'm lucky, though I will try to either update Twenty-Six Themes or write something to post on New Year's. It figures that when I don't have the time to write that I have so many excellent ideas though...
February 8th, 2012: Well, I'm changing schools again. Fourth school in three years. Goodness. I keep on forgetting to eat too and I'm definitely not sleeping enough. Add in the stress from schoolwork, prepping for the SATs, learning to drive, family and loneliness and... well, I guess one can imagine. Gah, sorry for the emotional mini-outburst. I have more time now though, so updates should be faster. I'm having fun writing these stories and reviews, even the old ones (Most of which I've read five or six times), as well as favorites and alerts always brighten my day. Thank you for being lovely people.
July 29th 2013: Off to college in the fall now. I probably need someone to remind me to write my stories as I keep flitting about between new ideas and the old ones. The only one I'm consistently working on is The War of the Wizarding World and even that one gets neglected a lot. I'm also working on an original novel, so that's slowing me down a bit too, although not too much due to the amount of difficulty I'm having deciding the gender of the main character, which is relevant as to determine where they sleep and that comes up a lot in the beginning. It's a bit frustrating, because, plot-wise, the gender doesn't matter at all. Sorry, rambling. Anyway, as per usual, writing is going slowly, although I'm working on a Les Mis one-shot that seems to be turning into something a tad longer than envisioned. By a tad, I mean the summary turned out to be as long as the fic was supposed to be. So... Yeah.
February 15th, 2015: I'm still writing, but I'm getting up at 6 AM and getting home at 10 PM most days, so everything is slow. I'm glad I'm so busy, but it's also exhausting, no matter how much fun I'm having. The War of the Wizarding World is still being written, along with some works that I'm considering posting, although I've sort of given up on my original work for now. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions as to what I'm currently working on. It'll probably guilt me into writing something rather than sleeping, at any rate.
Stories I Am Writing/Have Written (Will Be Alphabetized Later):
Shinichi Is Dressing Up: Complete: I just wanted to write a story that started with, "He stared," or some derivative of it and so Shinichi Is Dressing Up was born! It is my first Detective Conan fanfic (first posted fanfic ever, actually), so please be nice! It is a short, hopefully funny, one-shot.
The Thief Angel: On Hiatus: Crossover between Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne and D.N. Angel. I may eventually add Detective Conan in there, but that is undecided. I'm kind of running low on inspiration for this one, so it'll be a bit before I get back to it, but I eventually will. My apologies to anyone reading it.
Everything Seems Fine: Completed: A one-shot. Sad and slightly bittersweet for poor Conan. It's inspired by the last line. Written at the same time as Only Human
Only Human: Completed: Written at the same time as Everything Seems Fine, but has a totally different tone. It's basically what Conan thinks of the Kaitou Kid. Also inspired by one of the lines in the story.
Harry Potter and the Snake Chimera: Series of One-shots: FullMetal Alchemist and Harry Potter Crossover! It was also inspired by one of the lines. Some people put it on Story Alert so I decided to make a few more one-shots. They'll all be unconnected unless stated otherwise.
Evasive Maneuvers: Completed: One-shot. Sorry to anyone who might be expecting it, but I won't be giving Ran's reaction for this. I just don't think I could write it well. Feel free to write it, but please credit me if you do!
Fake Smiles and True Happiness: Completed: I'll probably write the continuation for this one eventually. The continuation, if it happens, will have a happy ending for Tomoyo and it will be ExT.
The Creation of the Heal Card: Completed: My feminist side got the better of me and raged that the girl was always being saved and protected, even when she was perfectly capable of defending herself. This was born. My inner feminist was partially appeased, but I decided to make sure that none of my female characters would be like that.
The Dimension Traveler: Completed: I like this one. It's one of my favorite things that I have ever written. I had a lot of fun writing it and Harry is a very... interesting character in this. He kind of dominated and I was amused enough to simply allow that.
Twenty-Six Themes: In Progress: This is a self-imposed challenge. There are some I really like and some that I'm simply okay with. It's KaiShin and ShinRan. Every chapter title will tell you which one it is. It probably won't be too popular simply because I know a lot of people avoid pairings they don't like and most people don't like both of these pairings. Oh well. It's my baby. I may eventually split it into two stories, with each only having one pairing.
The War of the Wizarding World: In Progress: This one will be very long. It spans two years in HP time, plus an epilogue about ten years later. Edward will be at Hogwarts and Roy will be at the Ministry for the first year, although that isn't always the case. Both are collecting information. The second year is when the war breaks out. The military is attacking all English wizards, regardless of whether they are Death Eaters or the Order. Some of the military are also wizards. There is character death, injury, and dissension in the ranks. Some hate magic, but are willing to use it to win, and others are okay with it and simply eliminating the threats English wizards pose to them. This one is basically forcing me to write it! It may be more than hints of DracoxHarry later, but I'll have to write it first to see.
Beauty and the Trickster: Completed: I had been reading old versions of fairy tales and ran across an old version of Beauty and the Beast where Beauty simply asks for a rose while her sisters ask for expensive trinkets. Then I thought that there was obviously magic in that world and how exactly would that sort of magic fit in with Shinichi and his job. Then I ended up focusing on the romance because I'm secretly a total romantic.
Mask: Completed: So, this is obviously somewhat inspired by Shinichi having his own secret identity, but that's mainly because of the way everything is handled in the forever unfinished Masks of Identity. The outline for this was pretty much me just wanting Shinichi's and Kaito's identities to meet in different combinations before sort of having all of their identities meet, as in the last section. It was originally part of my Twenty-Six Themes collection, but I think I'll be breaking those into individual stories.
Ideas for Stories:
Untitled: Fandom: Harry Potter
Explanation: Harry Potter has retrograde amnesia and only remembers part of his life at the Dursleys. While he can remembers everything he has learned, he can't remember the circumstances under which he learned them and his friends are strangers to him. He still hasn’t defeated Voldemort and has no wish to now. Sadly, this means that pressure from his friends causes him to run away from a destiny he doesn’t want.
Untitled: Fandom: X-Men
Explanation: Charles’s family died in an ‘accident’ when the government found out Charles was a mutant. His inheritance is withheld from him. He already meet Mystique when the incident happened, so they begin a life of crime to survive. Erik is in charge of the case, threatened with the blackmail of his own mutation. While his job is to find the thief, he also searches for them so he can be free. Sadly, they don't know that and will do everything they can to avoid meeting.
If you want me to work on any of these soon, please send me a PM. Most things that happen in these stories are already plotted out.
"History will be kind to me, for I intend to write it."
"Fairy tales don't teach children that dragons exist. Children already know that dragons exist. Fairy tales teach children that dragons can be killed." -G. K. Chesterton
"There's a fine line between good eye contact and the stare of a psychopath, and right now you're on the wrong side of that line."
If anyone was ever born ready for the entertainment profession, it was the moonlight magician. Shinichi wouldn't be surprised if he wasn't born, but just entered stage left to the delivery room and scared the dickens out of the doctor trying to figure out how he got there.
If you have any questions, simply want to chat or anything really, please feel free to PM me. I may take forever to respond, but I adore it when people PM me. I'm also actively looking for a Beta for my works, so if you know or are a good one who would mind it, that would be lovely, especially for The War of the Wizarding World.
