It may seem queer that a user of fanfiction.net does not produce any fanfiction at all. However, I know my weaknesses, and creativity is one of them. In addition, I find being Golding's "second grade thinker" much more easy and pleasurable than being his "first grade thinker". I started off as an anonymous reviewer, but I guess the time has come for me to register. Unlike many of the authors/authoresses here, I shall not disclose any personal information at all. This is the intarwebz after all, and who knows who trawls for information?
I generally will not hand out a 'true' review (ie. grammar corrections and plotline suggestions) unless the urge to do so strikes me. I will, however, comment on whether I enjoyed a story/chapter or not rather frequently. I also do not hold any expectation that my comments will be read; such decisions are the author's prerogative. Regarding grammar: I am a firm believer in the 'descriptive grammar' school of thought and, unless the errors impede my ability to comprehend the storyline, I will not criticise solely on grammar.
I am not a fan of mindless smut, and I will react with extreme prejudice if I encounter a plotline whose sole purpose is to facilitate a sexual encounter between two or more characters. In addition, while I am most certainly not homophobic, I believe that there are "fandoms" in which homosexuality is relevant and that there are series in which it is not. As such, any irrelevancy will be commented upon rather harshly.
My interests are mainly, but not exclusively, anime/manga-based works. I apologise if this immediately places me into a convenient stereotype.
