Author has written 8 stories for Star Trek: 2009, and StarTrek: The Original Series.
4/27/2014 Thank you so much for reading my Star Trek stories! I very much appreciated the warm "welcome back" and all the positive feedback I received for "The Things We Carry."
I'm sure 2013 was just one of those years for some of you folks out there, too. I've missed writing these stories, too.
I really was snow-bound for three days when I wrote "Things"!
I really was working backward on "Amanda's Tale" but decided that I hated the ending I'd already written. You deserve better, so, it's my next project. There's a foolish reason for finishing this before going back to "Grandfather's House" and the eagerly awaited message from the Federation president. (You guys don't miss a thing!)
A background note: "Compounding Problems" was the outcome of a brief obsession with Celebrity Rehab (sorry!) and Uhura was intentionally the "beginning and ending" of the story, chapter-wise, to mixed success.
I've been unsure how to incorporate "Into Darkness" into the storylines. It's tough. (AU San Francisco's new motto: 'The sky really is falling!') I'm still mulling it over. Part of my motivation in writing has been an attempt to make sense of the new AU world, to accept and integrate it as cannon and work with it. Part of the beauty of TOS was that it expected a utopian rather than a dystopian future (as well as providing a framework for current social commentary.) I like that ideal.
Thank you too to all the other writers who share their work. Your stories buoy me. I have so much fun reading them.
There are so many ideas. We're proving the multiverse theory together!
