Author has written 13 stories for Star Trek: 2009, and StarTrek: The Original Series.
I've always been strongly moved by literature of all kinds. The power to carry a reader through a tour of your imagination is one of the most breathtaking accomplishments one can achieve. I'm new to the concept of actually putting one of my "babies" out to be read by others, but I've been tinkering with original stories since I was 12.
Right now, I'm most highly involved with the Star Trek universe--the character of Spock mainly (as is obvious by my pen name.) I'm also very enthralled with the TV series "House" and "Heroes." Hopefully through this site I will get involved in other worlds as well; I do try to follow the IDIC principle as much as possible.
Peace and long life.
(19NOV09: OMG people actually read what I put up here? Considering the plethora of talent on this site, I am very humbled and honored. To my readers, both reviews/favoriters and anon's--y'all rock.)
30NOV09: I have to share this with you all, because it is my writing mantra, and I believe many of us need to remember it. It comes from my writing hero, none other than Mr. Stephen King. It comes from his intro to "Skeleton Crew."
"All the same, you don't do it for money, or you're a monkey. You don't think of the bottom line, or you're a monkey.
And that's how I feel. I do it because I have to, to live.
Thank you, SpirkTrekker42, for this excellent piece of wisdom:
Homophobia and You
I am the girl kicked out of her home because I confided in my mother that I am a lesbian.
Re-post this if you believe homophobia is wrong. Please do your part to end it.
I ship the following on a regular basis:
Star Trek (TOS): Kirk/Spock, Sulu/Chekov
House, M.D.: House/Wilson, House/Cuddy, 13/Foreman
Heroes: Luke/Jeremy, Luke/Sylar, Jeremy/Sylar, Sylar/Mohinder, Sylar/Claire, Sylar/ANYONE!, Sylar/me (I'd Mary Sue that in a heartbeat!)
I solemnly swear I am up to no good!
I also solemnly swear that the characters I borrow are not mine, and I get absolutely nothing but personal satisfaction out of my trip into Imagination Station.
Peace and long life, Live long and prosper, and keep hangin' and bangin'.
(Got that tidbit from "The Late Show with David Letterman." Leonard Nimoy had to say it. OMG! See it at http:/ /www. youtube.com/watch?v= kajHITRmJZM&feature=PlayList&p=64438B32DC0E18C1&index =43 ... you know the drill, remove the spaces and all that jazz.)
A/N 05MAR11: I have found that writing does not come easily to me. I have several stories I am working on at the moment, but for now I am content to be reading the wonderful work on this site and encouraging fellow writers. If I read your story and have positive things to say, you will know it. The harshest thing I may ever say will be the suggestion of a beta. I'm the child of an English teacher, I can't help but cringe at misspelled words and run-on sentences. Even if you don't utilize a beta off this site, please proofread your work. It means the world to your readers.
In addition, I wanted to put out an a/n on my piece "Where the Music Takes Me." If you are a writer and see something in one of my storylets that interests you and you would like to finish the story, contact me. I don't mind being a launching pad if you let me know first. Peace out!
A/N 19JUL13: I will be posting several works I wrote during the past two years. If you are alarmed at my update speed, please keep in mind the stories have been completed for quite some time. I am delving into a domestic!K/S and I think I like it. If you wish to join us the path begins with "Desert Christmas" and continues to "All The Soft Places To Fall". There will be a two-story prequel set that will be posted after ATSPTF. Keep watching!
