Author has written 3 stories for Night World series, Charmed, and Vampire Diaries.
I'm Amie, I'm 18.
Some general info about me...
I was initially here to write fanfictions, but it was years ago when I joined. A lot of my work are just at a loose end now, I've lost my trail of thought... Now I do a lot of roleplaying with Emily Jane Zeale.
I love Doctor Who. A lot of my hobbies evolve around it. I love filming things, I got this from watching Doctor Who Confidential. I've recently gotten into photography, and although I'm not professional, I do a lot of photography for the charity project I work for. I have a good camera- a Bridge camera, which is one step down from an SLR. I didn't want to spend too much money on it because I'm not yet sure how far this hobby will go. I do a lot of Doctor Who themed photography- I have loads of collector's items, a model TARDIS, Daleks, sonic screwdrivers even some model Doctors. I took the photo that's on my display picture there.
I love the classic Who and the new Who. My favourite Doctors are Paul McGann (8th), Colin Baker (6th) and Matt Smith (11th). I love Paul McGann, because have you heard the Big Finish stuff?! They're teapotting fabulous! They say he didn't have a chance to develop his Doctor, but "they" are so wrong! His Doctor is... just AMAZING! I love Colin Baker because he's a great actor and he had to act as the Doctor even with bad special effects, bad scripts and a full year (1985) when Doctor Who was cancelled. But people judged him on the bad special effects and writing, and I think that it is wrong to do that. I think that, especially now, people judge everything on special effects instead of acting. Even with bad lines, a good actor can make it good, and I think Colin Baker did that... I think the Sixth Doctor had a cool outfit and great hair... What's wrong with bright colours?? The patchwork jacket was cool. And the bright yellow trousers which kept on changing throughout one scene in 'The Mysterious Planet'.
And what can I say about the New Who? That's brilliant. They've improved special effects and story-lines, and still have great actors. I like how Doctor Who has changed... now they're allowed romance... The Doctor marrying a current companion's daughter in the future... If you told the Sixth Doctor that that would happen some day in his future, he's say "Me? Preposterous!" I think if you told the original producers of Doctor Who, they'd have the same reaction... It's good that Doctor Who changed. I don't think a modern-day audience would accept the new series being like the Classic... and with the Doctor looking younger each time he regenerates, it definitely wouldn't work without a love interest... I think they need an older Doctor next, when that time comes.
I have a fez. Fezzes are cool. I have a Stetson too. Stetsons are cool.
I wear my Seal of Rassilon necklace every day to remind me that I am forever a Timelord. Well, every day, apart from when I'm at work, as it's not really professional- it's made out of clay. I'd wear it if I had a metal or silver necklace. I have red Converse, too. They have a Dalek and a TARDIS painted on them.
Brainy is the new Sexy.
Would you like a jelly baby?
When I say run... Run!
Charles Dickens. I love Dickens. So far I've only read Great Expectations, A Christmas Carol and Oliver Twist, but I have another three at home just waiting to be read. :D
Sherlock Holmes- Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
Chaos Walking by Patrick Ness.
Jodi Picoult. I've only read one book by her, but it was brilliant- "Handle with Care."
The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstein.
I often indulge in the guilty pleasure of reading a Doctor Who book. :)
