Author has written 5 stories for Forgotten Realms, Saiyuki, and Warcraft.
There's not much to say about me really. 23, female, English, strangely obsessed with Gensoumaden Saiyuki, World of Warcraft and the Drow in general. Winner of National Novel Writing Month four times, barely scraping through on the second two attempts but overshooting the mark by almost double on the fourth attempt. Occasional artist. Occasional table. Currently writing about a seven-time psycho killer.
I recently started a new community at LiveJournal for those writers who love to write stories about the Drow and the Underdark. Called Drow Drabbles, it's a place to ask for and offer encouragement and construcive criticism if you want it, and to just show off your latest work and say "look what I did!" if not. :) I'd love for the community to eventually become a thriving home for Drow fiction, one day~!
D&D Kyran & Tomoko Mini-FAQQ. Why is Tomoko shorter than Kyran? I thought Drow males were smaller than females?
A. Drow females may be taller than males, but Tomoko is a normal elf. Also, you can blame both WotC's parameters and the set of dice we were using, as we rolled the characters for an impromptu RP session at Otakon. If you have a problem, take it up with Wizards.
Q. Why does Tomoko act so oddly?
A. If you look at the disclaimer at the bottom of the fics involving Tomoko, you'll see that she is credited to another person. That other person is her creator and is the person who dictated the way she acts. I ran the stories involving her past him, and apparently they're in character, so if you don't like the way she acts, you should take it up with him. :)
Q. The world you're writing in looks nothing like the Forgotten Realms!
A. That would be because it's not the Forgotten Realms. The characters were roleplayed (aside from the one-off at Otakon) on a NeverWinter Nights server that used a modified Greyhawk world. In that, Menzoberranzan was not a capital city, and Lloth rather enjoyed wandering around on the surface exercising her powers. As an example of how this was not FR, she once took an interest in a young male half-Wood-Elf ranger who was losing a fight against an overwhelmingly large group of lich and resurrected him before zapping the opponents. (Luckily, he had no conception of who Lloth was and was merely incredibly thankful, rather than absolutely terrified.)
Q. I've never heard of some of the gods in Ruby Eyes. Why is that?
A. This was a NaNoWriMo endeavour. The point of NaNoWriMo is to write 50,000 words in a month and when you're lagging behind, the most random idea looks like a good one so long as it aids your word count...
Q. "Blah" said that your stories suck, so I came here to look for myself!
A. Well, I'm very thankful to "blah" for the free publicity that they gave me! But if they have nothing better to do than give bad reviews when they never wrote a single review on the author's work, then you may want to take what they say with a pinch of salt as they patently have nothing better to do with their time. ;)
