If you're wondering about my pen name it's a reference to Greek mythology. The short version is that someone rolls an apple with the word "fairest" between Hera Athena and Aphrodite, each want to claim it was a gift to them and they begin to argue. To settle the argument they decide that an outsider will decide who among them is truly the fairest, and they get Paris to choose. Of course each of them cheats and tries to bribe him; Hera with power, Athena with knowledge, and Aphrodite with the love of the most beautiful woman in the world. Of course Paris chooses the beautiful woman, which is Helen, and thus the Trojan War.
The idea of the apple, and choosing love (or lust) above anything sensible is intriguing. Also, since I write primarily romance it is meant to be an acquiescence to the fact that yes, romance is dumb, but you know you love it.
