Who am I?
I am a dedicated dancer and a practicing artist of various types. I enjoy drawing, painting, ceramic-ing, and, of course, writing! I love books, as long as they're not schoolwork (ex. Anne Frank, Ethan Frome, The Great Gatsby... you get the idea).
Whenever people ask me, “What kind of dance do you do?”, it always takes me a little while to answer. I currently take jazz, modern, tap, 3 ballet classes (all regular shoes- I was recently in PT for tendonitis in my ankles, knees, and hips, so starting pointe this year would have been out of the question, even if I was ready!), lyrical, musical theatre, jazz technique, and a class for turns, leaps, and combinations, oh-so-creatively dubbed TLC. Can you guess what that stands for? In addition, I am also the student teacher for one of my favorite teachers, Amy, assisting her in a modern class for eight 9-10 year old girls. I get to demonstrate combinations, make corrections, and sometimes help them play improvisation games; it's quite possibly the best thing ever. =)
Art is my next passion; I love working with just about any medium, but charcoal and chalk pastels are at the top of the list. I'm currently building my first AP portfolio, with my concentration being incorporating colors into black-and-white art. If you care to check my out on deviantART, keep an eye out for new works; I just might get around to posting them within the next millennium.
When I'm not dancing or drawing, I'll be writing, wasting my life reading comic books, or maybe working on some homework. I have a younger sister, Rachel Danielle, who looks nothing like me (she's adopted) and is also bisexual. Gay rights are very important to me, especially considering she trusted me enough to be the first one she came out to, before our parents even. I also have a younger, biological, brother, Patrick Joseph, who is a freaky little genius child.
I am very picky when it comes to pairings in my fics. Call me crazy, but I usually feel that characters paired together by their creators are better than pairings put together by fans. I also don't read a lot of slash, unless it is seriously a canon pairing; as I said, I am very much a supporter of gay right. My feelings are that, as unimportant as sexuality is to a person's character, it is still a part of them. Don't go changing characters just so you can get some extra smut. That being said, I usually become freakishly attached to any characters and/or pairings I come to love, gay or straight!
That being said being said, here are just some of my favorite fandoms and pairings;
Bones- Brennan/Booth, Angela/Hodgins
Doctor Who (and spin-offs)- 10/Rose, Martha/Mickey, Jack/Ianto, Amy/Rory
Star Trek- Spock/Uhura, Chekov/Joanna McCoy
Glee- Kurt/Blaine, Rachel/Finn, Sam/Mercedes, Brittany/Santana
DC- Dick/Barbara, Bruce/Selina, Barry/Iris, Wally/Linda, Donna/Roy, Kyle/Jade
Marvel- Nightcrawler/Scarlet Witch, Rogue/Gambit, Kitty/Colossus, Billy/Teddy, Cassie/Jonas, Eli/Kate, Tony/Pepper, Rictor/Shatterstar, Loki/His fabulous self!
Percy Jackson- Percy/Annabeth, Nico/Rachel
Harry Potter- Harry/Ginny, Ron/Hermione, Luna/Neville
Is it obvious that I'm pretty much a sucker for canon? =)
Love is love, regardless of race or gender
I support gay-marriage all the way. As already mentioned, my younger sister is bisexual, and no matter who she marries, I totally get dibs on maid-of-honor! Being gay isn't a choice; if it were, why would anyone choose to be gay in a society that hates them so much? If you don't like it, well, you're not the one getting married, now are you? There are plenty of gay couples out there who are a thousand times more faithful and loving than many straight couples, and all they ask is that they be allowed to marry!

I am not one of the lucky ones. I killed myself just weeks before graduating high school; it was simply to much to bear.
