Author has written 246 stories for X-Men, X-Men: The Movie, Buffy: The Vampire Slayer, Buffy X-overs, Forever Knight, Harry Potter, Angel, Avengers, Highlander, Sherlock Holmes, Pirates of the Caribbean, Ghostbusters, Ironman, Mummy, Lost Boys, Gargoyles, Labyrinth, White Wolf, Blade, Galaxy Quest, Lord of the Rings, Looney Tunes, X-Men: Evolution, Muppets Tonight, Muppet Show, Sesame Street, Munsters, Batman, Vampire Hunter D, and Addams Family. Many of my stories are posted at Twisting the Hellmouth: an archive created for crossovers of the Joss-verse (Buffy the Vampire Slayer and/or Angel: the Series) and almost any other source: movie, television series, comic, book, games... Any character is welcome, even if they were only in one episode. There are some stories at Twisting that are not archived at fanfiction.net due to changes in rules - a few song-fics, and some crossovers involving material by certain authors. A few general things about my writing. I like and write an assortment of characters, pairings - often but not always unconventional, and I do not have any 'one true pairing's - and moods in several fandoms. Some of the characters I write about are not people that I'd ever want to spend time with in real life. I love crossovers, though I generally stick to only combining two, possibly three fandoms in any sizable presence, though there may be a tiny comment or cameo. If you think I wrote someone well, or you think I did a terrible job writing them, especially if you can tell me where or why I went wrong, let me know. If you see a character or pairing in one of my fics (especially a crossover pairing) that you really like, let me know - I might end up writing more stories with them. There are certain characters and pairings that I do not like - if you can't identify them by my stories, then I won't tell you which ones. Despite all these 'let me know's, I do not allow readers or reviewers to dictate my plots or pairings - as the author, I can make those decisions for my own stories, thanks. I no longer take substantial challenges, as experience has shown me that I can't keep them short, or my WiP list to a reasonable number. I write up occasional single-shots that do not tie in to any of my current WiP's. These may be a wild idea that won't go away, or an experiment with a character, crossover, or setting that I want to try. Some of them are just to push myself by trying something a bit different. Reader comments are a good way to learn if others think I managed to write it well or if it was something that I shouldn't try again. I have removed my fanfic WiP list from my profile, as I doubted that anyone was looking at it anyhow - but it does currently have 24 stories on it, with a variety of crossover/non-crossover, assorted main characters (and pairings), and a range of moods. By repeated request, I will provide a listing of what fanfics are connected to each other. While I do try to state in the fic summary if it connects with another story, it has been pointed out that with over 200 stories, it can be a bit much to read through them all searching for connections. 'Watching' and 'Watched' are a pair of BtVS single-shot stories that are linked - 'Watching' happens first. 'A Cat's Tale' is connected to 'Family Tree', and many bits of ACT take place during or in between stories in Family tree. They are BtVS/X-Men crossovers. 'Bonds of Soul and Demon' and 'Bonds of Faith' are connected, BtVS stories, and I now consider them dead. Sorry. 'Impressions: Ororo' and 'Impressions: Logan' are connected glimpses into the 1st X-Men movie (with Halle Berry and Hugh Jackman). These are some of my first fanfics, and are complete. 'Happily After?' is a series of four stories - Happily After? Spring Blossoms, Happily After? Temptations, Happily After Shattered Dreams and Happily After? New Beginnings. It was the result of what was supposed to be a simple, little challenge on an X--Men list. 'Counts of Blood' and 'the Muppet Contracts' are connected. Counts takes place first by about a decade, and is a BtVS/Muppets crossover, Contracts is an Angel: the Series/Muppets crossover. 'Feather Links' are a collection of side stories for the 'Feathers series' - both are BtVS/X-Men crossovers. 'Guest Starring' is a sequel to 'With Special Guest' - both are BtVS/Angel: the Series/GalaxyQuest crossovers. 'Questing For' takes place in between, and is Angel: the Series/GalaxyQuest. 'Here for the Holidays' is a companion to 'Wishing You Were Here' - both are single-shot BtVS stories. Tangled Plans (BtVS/X-Men/Firestarter) is connected to Bohemian Scandals (BtVS/Sherlock Holmes (the Arthur Conan Doyle version)), though they may be read separately. 'Dark Coffee' is a sequel-series to 'Coffee & Thoughts' - both are BtVS non-crossovers. 'Time for Blood & Roses' is a sort-of sequel to 'Time for Change', which is a time-travel, history-changing BtVS/the Mummy Returns crossover. 'Dark Fall' appears on this site as later chapters of 'Dark Summer' - they are separate on other sites. 'For a Moment' is a sequel to 'Miscalculation' - both are Angel:the Series/Highlander crossovers. 'Addiction' and 'Questioning Motivation' are both set in the same slightly AU BtVS setting. The various chapters in the 'Holiday Seasonings', '20 Minutes With' and 'Poetically Inspired' are separate stories, and can all be summed up as resulting from challenges. These ranged from twenty minutes writing about (name of character) to use a specific poetry quote as inspiration, to a long list of pairings with the request to pick one and write something. 'Ripping Through Time' was written as a challenge response (thanks Knightie). 'Poetry in his Soul' and 'Fur and Fangs' were both the results of another challenge (thanks Fayth). Many earlier BtVS and BtVS crossovers were the results of challenges on various lists for specific scenes, songs, or an image (generally noted in the headers of the stories). 'Pottery Shards' is a collection of shortish Harry Potter universe one-shots, though a few have gained follow-ups. I've promised myself if any hit a third part it will get its own listing with slight tweaking starting as a three chapter and going onwards. Most of the shards are not connected to each other and may be considered to stand separately. I am transitioning to writing more original work and less fanfics. As of Summer 2011, I now have original fiction available for purchase through Amazon Kindle! By all means, feel free to pop over and see if my original work (more in development!) appeals to you. Most would be in the science fiction, fantasy, dark fantasy and horror ranges. There are several collections of flash fiction. http:///s/ref=ntt_athr_dp_sr_1?_encoding=UTF8&search-alias=digital-text&field-author=Lucinda |
