Author has written 3 stories for Pride and Prejudice.
Updated: I'm taking a bit of a hiatus on writing (and reading). Rest assured I will be back very soon and I will finish what I have started. In the meantime thank you for all of your kind words of encouragement and I look forward to entertaining you all again very soon...
Okay so let's start with the basics I read a lot - probably stating the obvious there but it's true I love reading. Books are a great way to let go of everything around you and get absorbed in another world, time, realm, country etc. - preaching to the converted here I know. I'm currently reading the Millenium collection of books, has anyone read those? what do you think? It wasn't what I was expecting at all.
My favourite books of all times include but are not limited too:
First and foremost - Pride & Prejudice
Sense & Sensiblity
North & South
Twilight (1-4) - living in hope Stephanie Meyer will release 'Midnight Sun'
The Woman in White
The Great Gatsby
Along Came A Spider
Southern Vampire Mysteries
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
I am very lucky to live in a really beautiful part of England (near Stratford upon Avon) and am even luckier to have a job that enables me to travel the world and work in Bath from time-to-time; just transports me to Jane Austen's time when I'm on the Crescent.
William Makepeace Thackray (may have spelt that incorrectly)
F. Scott Fitzgerald
These are to name but a few and I'm sure you'll have noticed the abundance of chick-lit authors (I love a good romance - so if you have any suggestions let me know). I am relatively open minded reader and in general I will give every book a chance, on only a handful of occasions have I ever been so bored that I couldn't finish a book (I think it's disrespectful not too even though here are some terrible books out there).
I sky+ a lot of rubbish but a few of the programmes I like are:
House M.D (Hugh Laurie is amazing - British pride)
Married with Children
Big Bang Theory
One Tree Hill
Brothers & Sisters (didn't like the recent series as much but I'll keep going)
The Vampire Diaries
Two & a Half Men
Cougar Town (Ellie is brilliant)
Back to the Future (1-3)
Twilight (1 - New Moon was rubbish in comparison)
The Little Mermaid
On top of all this I'm a definite Politics nerd, with an addition to the The Times and The Guardian (UK papers); I may reference these from time-to-time in my stories so watch out :)
Favourite places :
Starbucks - sad I know, but I'm an addict; singlehandedly saving Starbucks in the recession with my Caramel Macchiato habit
Whistler - I love Skiing & Snowboarding; even if I do injure myself on the odd occasion
London - My capital city and I absolutely 100% completely love it. If you haven't been I would definitely recommend it, it isn't necessarily a beautiful city like Rome or Vancouver but it is amazing.
Blenheim Palace - think it might have something to do with the fact that Pemberley was based on Blenheim, I don't know
Broadway, Cotswolds, UK - great, quaint little village in the heart of England; nothing beats a good ole tea & scone from Broadways tea shops
Rome - always wanted to go there and I am completely besotted
