Author has written 15 stories for Pokémon, Merlin, Yu-Gi-Oh GX, and Kyo kara Maoh!/今日からマ王！.
I have decided to post again on Fanfictionnet (my old penname was chrisandersenyuki), as it has always been a place I liked to post in. However, since some of my stories have parts not allowed here (mainly MA rating parts; or to put it bluntly sexual scenes and some too violent fighting scenes), I have also decided to post censored versions of the stories so it won't break the rules. I might also not post here everything I write, so make sure to check my Tumblr and AO3 (as example, there are one-shots for BBC Merlin I'm not sure I will post here).
To find the full versions of my stories, please see my Tumblr or AO3.
And to anyone that has known me before, I am in the process of reposting some of my old stories!
Note: My way of writing is "Writing what I feel like writing when I feel like writing". It means I can't really tell when I will update a certain story. It might be some days after the last update; or some weeks after. However, I don't ever want to discontinue any story, so rest assured: I will always end up updating. It might be slow (especially if I need my muses for a certain fandom) but I know the feeling of seeing a story discontinued, and I don't want to make you feel that way.
I have started posting Character Study for the characters I might write often (or that I generally feel like doing so). They are first for me to have a concrete basis on how I write a character, but they are good for you all. The Character Studies will show how I intend to write characters, basically. It will often be a character musing on past events, and so you will see what their thoughts were (which will be a mix of canon and headcanons).
Main Fandoms (aka the ones I mainly write for): Kyo Kara Maoh, Pokemon, BBC Merlin and Yu-Gi-Oh GX.
Main Pairings (aka the ones almost always written):
Other Pairings (aka the ones you might find)
The order of the pairing (Shigeru/Satoshi or Satoshi/Shigeru for example) does not mean anything. I know it's often use to say who's 'dominant' but it's not the case for me. Unless it's linked to canon and/or the situation of the story, couples are equals. There's not a 'dominant' and 'submissive', though each character of a ship can have moments of one or the other.
Note on some Characters (GX and Kyo Kara Maoh):
-> Haou : In Canon settings, Haou is-of course-Judai. Some old stories/story ideas to repost/write might have Haou someone a different person in Canon settings. In AUs though, I do like the idea of having Haou and Judai as two differents persons (brothers, light and darkness, etc).
-> "Jehu": In Canon settings, I would say "Jehu" doesn't exist (or, it's Yubel with Johan's body). Again, some old stories/story ideas do have him as an existing someone in Canon settings. In AUs, just like Haou, I like having Jehu. I would maybe think of calling him another name, but Jehu is one most of the fandom recognize.
-> Yubel: In any story taking place after Judai and Yubel's fusion (that isn't an obviously old story/story idea), know that it's a default setting that they love each other. It is a canon fact, after all. My take on it, though, is that most of the time it's left to the reader to think weither or not they do "couple things". My take on it is that they don't need anything like kissing, etc; but shows signs of affection (stroking hairs, etc). However, what happens not written in a fanfic is left for anyone to guess. In AUs where Yubel appears, I might often make them more family-like. It depends on what I want. On Yubel's "gender", I consider Yubel to be both male and female. From now on I'll try to write without having to use things like he/she/him/her/etc, but in old stories I used female pronouns (bare one where it was male pronouns). I also consider that Yubel's human(oid) form had been male.
-> Soushu: In the cases I have Soushou (re)appear in Canon as a Character (not just a sort of dark entity), and in AUs; I do like the idea that Soushu is... somewhat attached to Yuuri. Soushu is generally male, with physical appearance that can vary depending on the story. More than half the time, he won't end up a complete ennemy, even be an ally of sort.
Enjoy your stay here!
DISCLAIMER: I own nothing but the plots and OCs!
Important things to read before checking my stories (contains Explanation for BBC Merlin, List of Japenese terms for Kyo Kara Maoh and List of Japenese names for Pokémon):
Almost all of my BBC Merlin stories set in a Canon-divergent AU. I wrote an Explanation that I posted on AO3 and Tumblr; but not here as FFnet doesn't allow chapters that are AN (which Explanation kind of is). However, unless I'm wrong, I CAN write it in my profile So, here it is:
My universe is canon up until the end of season 3. During the one year between season 3 and 4, Gwen and Lancelot realize how much they love each other. Gwen speaks with Arthur, because she can’t deny herself anymore and thinks it is fair to tell him. Arthur lets her go because he wants her happy. He also realizes that while she is his first love, he isn’t as heartbroken as he would have thought. He starts to realize that he cares for Merlin a great deal, more than Gwen. He doesn’t realize it is love for now. Arthur and Gwen stay friends.
Now for the events of season 4. When Lancelot goes to sacrifice himself, Merlin snaps in anger, and throw the Cailleach into the veil, making her the sacrifice. The veil close and Merlin becomes its gatekeeper. Merlin says it is Lancelot who slays the Cailleach. During the night, Merlin goes to see Kilgarrah because he feels tired. Kilgarrah warns him that he cannot stay the sole gatekeeper because that means he would need to stay in the spirit world, like the Cailleach. They go to Lake Avalon, where they see Freya who has become the gatekeeper to Avalon. With her help, Balinor and Will come, and Merlin asks them to be the gatekeepers to the spirit world. They accept, and so they are in the spirit world. But they still have a link to Avalon thanks to Freya. So basically, Merlin can go see Freya at Lake Avalon, and Balinor and Will at the Isle of the Blessed. A little but important fact: Freya tells Merlin that she had been happy receiving his love, but that now she knew she had never been his first love nor his soulmate. She is talking about Arthur, and Merlin realizes that (cue for some blushing), and she tells him to be happy. Merlin understands that she means he can be with Arthur if Arthur returns his feelings. Merlin has been in love from the beginning, but only realized when he became closer to Arthur when Gwen left him.
After that, it stays canon, except Lancelot is alive and any Arthur/Gwen scene doesn’t happen. Arthur may be more attentive to what Merlin says or does, but since he is in a sort of denial, and scared to lose him, well he acts like we see in season 4 (meaning sometimes a prat).
Only some episode are affected by my AU, firstly Lancelot Du Lac. Well, this episode doesn’t happen, but instead Lancelot and Gwen marry and they go in a honeymoon. They will meet again with everyone else in Ealdor, during the Sword in the stone. And A Hunter’s heart doesn’t happen at all. Because when Merlin hugged Arthur, he told him that he would find love again, and that he just needed to wait. Arthur agreed that he would marry only for love. So he won’t think anymore of arranged marriage. I’ve decided that Isolde wasn’t mortally wounded, and Tristan and Isolde decided to stay in Camelot. Arthur made them knights. And on a final note, Aithusa doesn’t heal Morgana. Let’s just say she healed herself.
So, any of my fanfiction taking place in canon will happen after season 4, but with all these changes. And Merlin and Arthur are closer; with Merlin knowing he loves Arthur but hiding it too, and Arthur knowing he cares for Merlin but not realizing that it is love. If for a story I make change to these settings, I will tell :)
EDIT: I realized I never said that, but for future purposes, Aithusa is MALE
EDIT 2: I just realized it wasn't clear enough, but Aithusa did not side with Morgana. He lives with Kilgharrah, and both dragons often meet with Merlin (which mean they formed a closeness, you can say they form a family!). Basically, Aithusa has never met Morgana!
Kyo Kara Maoh:
I guess the better writting would be Ma-Oh. Ma stans for Demon (though I saw once an interesting theory it can means Magic), and Oh for King. So whenever I call Yuuri “Maoh”, I’m calling him “Demon King”. This is why I don’t often use “king” alone, as calling him Maoh is calling him king already.
- Heika, Geika, Kaka.
Heika is usally used for Yuuri while Geika is used for Murata. You can also find Shinou Heika. Kaka might be used when lower ranking soldiers adress nobles (notably, Conrad, Gwendal, Wolfram, Gunter).
- Kyo (ex: Weller-Kyo)
To adress a lord.
- Soukoku ( or Sokoku)
Means Double Black. I can use it to mention Yuuri, Murata or Shori.
- Shinou, Daikenja
Or Shin-Oh. I think Shinou means “First/Original King”, and Daikenka “Great Sage”. Their real names are in fact not known.
- Soushu (or Soushou)
For what I know, it’s been translated to Originators in english? Basically, the dark ententity that Shinou fought against 4000 years ago.
- Mazoku, Majutsu, Maryoku, Shin Makoku
In order, the terms for Yuuri’s people, the magical art they use, the magic source, and the kingdom name.
- Seisakoku, Shinzoku, Houjutsu, Houryoku, Houseki
In order, Alazon’s kingdom, Alazon’s people, the art used by humans, the magical source used, the stones.
- Dai Shimaron, Shou Shimaron.
Big Shimaron (or Cimaron) and Small Shimaron.
- Bocchan, Hahaue, Aniue
Young master (Yozak to Yuuri), Mother (formal), Brother (formal).
- Henachoko, Nazukeoya
Henachoko is used by Wolfram to adress Yuuri. It’s been translated often by “Wimp”, but I’ve seen a post about how it means “Noob”; and I prefer this translation. Considering I’m using Henachoko, you can see it as anything, but at least you know what I see when I use it~ Nazukeoya is what Yuuri calls Conrad, literally meaning “The one who named me”. It also refers to Conrad like a Godfather.
As for names, I don’t think they’ve been changed much in English? In doubt, ask me!
I use English names for attacks, but otherwise I try to use the Japenese ones! Here is the list of Japenese names (the ones I used or plan to use):
Satoshi (Ash), Shigeru (Gary), Kasumi (Misty), Takeshi (Brock), Prof Ookido (Prof Oak), Hanako (Delia) Kenji (Tracey), Haruka (May), Masato (Max), Hikari (Dawn), Musashi (Jesse), Kojiro (James), Nyarth (Meowth), Sakaki (Giovanni).
Masara Town (Pallet Town), Tokiwa City (Viridian City), Tokiwa Forest (Viridian Forest).
By default, my Pokémon stories have 6 Régions: Kanto, Jouto, Houen, Shinou, Isshu and Kalos; as well as the Orange Archipelago which aren't considered a Région. Weither or not Satoshi knows about all of them, and/or visited them depends on the story.
Pokemon names are in Japenese too, but I will put a list of who is who at the start of chapters they are first mentioned in.
