Author has written 3 stories for Rayman.
UPDATE--February 9th, 2012: Yes, I'm still alive. No I haven't worked on The Deceased at all. Yes, I know I'm behind. I'll get to it, I swear; I don't have much else going on tonight, anyway. In the meantime, I've decided that it was time for a little cleaning house--sorry, non-Rayman readers, but due to the fact that I still have loads more Rayman to work on, I've scrapped all of your stories. Yep, all three of them. If I ever feel like it, I'll pick them back up (the files are around here somewhere...), but that's not in the foreseeable future. Anyway, I may publish a new chapter of The Deceased tonight...if I finish it by then. We'll see how it goes.
UPDATE--June 13th, 2011: I know, I know, I haven't been doing anything for a long while. Sorry, but I had stuff to do. Anyway, The Deceased hasn't really gone anywhere yet (yep--I haven't even really worked on it in the past six months or so), but I'm working on that tonight. Other than that, I just posted the intro to a story I'm doing in the Fable 2 universe (well, sort of) and I've updated my timeline for the Rayman fan fiction readers again. Sorry, but Black Phoenix is no longer the last story. I have something even weirder to work on, and if I ever get there, boy, will things change. I've also updated the teasers below the timeline, too, so you should check those out at some point. So that's it, since now I have to look for my flash drive with The Deceased on it. Bye.
UPDATE--December 15th, 2010: Well, I've given the story some thought, and I might finally keep my promise and start work on The Deceased soon. In other news, I've almost finished the second chapter of my Two Empty Halves, and, if my Rayman fan fiction readers will kindly glance at the timeline, you may notice a few things. First of all, as I want to include a certain character in it (keeping away from spoilers, here), I've moved Anomaly's place up in the timeline to being after The Deceased. The second thing is that some of the more observant readers will notice a new story on the timeline I was thinking of earlier today. After some thought, I've decided to name it Black Phoenix, and it will be the final story in my Rayman Arc. Having confirmed to myself the presence of this story, I will now be slowly foreshadowing it's coming in the rest of my Rayman works. Oh, and by the way, while I'm on the topic of Black Phoenix, every character I've created (i.e. Raymond, Frank, Niehr, and several that you have yet to see) will return for various reasons in it. I'm setting this up to where I'm done with Rayman for a while after this one. That's all for now.
UPDATE--October 25th, 2010: Apocalypse is DONE!!! Good news, bad news situation now. Good news: Now, I can focus on The Deceased--easily my best story yet. Bad news: I have a bad habit of planning things in the wrong order. My last story for the current Rayman Arc, "Anomaly", is virtually ready to write. My second-to-last story, "The Substitute Files", is almost ready, Ly's story is kind of there, and I still need to flesh out The Deceased a bit. It's probably going to take even longer than Apocalypse did. I know, scary.
UPDATE--October 7th, 2010: To the readers of my Rayman fan fiction, I'm well aware I haven't updated any of my stories in a while. Chpater 9 of Apocalypse has been a lot harder than I thought, but I'm doing alright on the third version of it. Between school and everything, finding time to write is hard enough--as you can imagine (and/or attest to), constantly writing and rewriting a chapter is a tedious process, so chapter 9 is taking me a while. Hopefully, I'll have it up this weekend.
UPDATE--August 3rd, 2010: The Deceased is my most popular fanfic, and I've gotten a few questions as to why I haven't posted anything on it in several months. Truth is, The Deceased was an idea that suddenly popped into my head one night, and I typed it up and posted it instantaneously. Until I finish Apocalypse, I actually can't work on The Deceased at all, and I also can't begin any of the 3 OTHER (yes, somehow there are more) Rayman fanfics in my head. For those not yet in the loop, every single one of my fanfics for one genre (in other words, all my fanfics) rely on continuity, and all occur within the time span of the current games. Whatever happens in one will be referenced somewhere in another that takes place farther in the future. If something in one story isn't explained, then I will probably release one that takes place before it, and thus has the explanation (ex: Raymond in the Deceased, Evil Ly in Apocalypse).
Here's a rough timeline:
"Hoodlum Resistance" (C)-"Rayman: Apocalypse" (C)-"The Deceased (R)"-"Picking up the Pieces (NR)"-"Anomaly (NR)"-"Black Phoenix (NR)"-"The New World (NR)"
"Ly: The Story of the Second Light" (NR)--.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.--.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.
"Hoodlum Resistance: The Substitute Files" (NR)--.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-
(C)=Released and Completed
(R)=Released and in Progress
(NR)=Not Released Yet
For the teaser-hungry, here are what'll basically be the summaries for the ones marked (NR)
In order of most-probable release (earliest to latest):
Ly: The Story of the Second Light
While the Hoodlum Resistance desperately searches for the missing Rayman, Ly finds a resistance of her own to join. Alas, not all rebels have good intentions...
Hoodlum Resistance: The Substitute Files
We know only what we needed to at the time. Now that time has passed, and the rest of the story must be brought to light.
Time is made out of numbers. If one number is changed, the numbers after it must also change to accommodate.
Picking Up the Pieces
"You'll never be rid of me."
If Rayman succeeds, if he fails--one way or another, the world will be changed forever.
The New World
The world has changed, and the sides have with it. Only Rayman can set things right--but when he's found, who's side will he be on?
