Welcome to my very basic profile page!
I LOVE vintage things! 1950s and 1960s things, especially! Cars, clothes, styles, architecture, music, you name it, I dig it! Well, maybe I wouldn't go so far as to say that, but I think you get the picture!
I LOVE Paul Revere & the Raiders (Thus my name). Drake Levin is my favorite member (Not currently pictured)! I listen to their music all the time, in fact, I'm probably listening to it right now (Well, at least in my head), or even better, something Drake Levin sings! My top favorite Raider albums are "Midnight Ride", "Just Like Us", "Revolution!", and "Hard 'n Heavy (With Marshmallow)"!
Anyways, besides my love of the Raiders, I also like the Beach Boys, Tina Mason, Buffalo Springfield, The Hollies, CSN(Y), The Honeys, The Beatles, The Sonics, Francoise Hardy, Jacques Dutronc, The Motions, the Birds (British), the Paper Dolls, The Wailers (rock n' roll group), Elvis, Buddy Holly, Brotherhood, Liberty Party, The Soulbenders, and other various sounds, like garage rock rarities. In short, I love oldies from all over the globe.
I LOVE vintage children's books, especially "Ginny Gordon Mysteries" and "To Nick From Jan" by Julie Campbell Tatham. I also have read some of "The Chip Hilton Sports Series" by Clair Bee and "Patty Duke" books. I also collect vintage cookbooks and sewing books. I have a huge collection that just keeps growing, and I've already run out of bookshelves!!
I'm a huge fan of vintage Pyrex and collect snowflake design pieces. Another one of my collections is vintage, unopened sewing trims.
I love vintage Barbies (especially the twist n turn era). My favorite friends of Barbie are Allan, Stacey, Francie, Casey, and Twiggy. And who can't love Midge and Christie?
I do a lot of sewing and baking. I love vintage patterns and vintage reproductions. My favorite things to sew are dresses and baby clothes.
I've been writing fan fiction for years (my first ones were, of course, Paul Revere & the Raiders). I also enjoy other forms of creative writing.
According to a 1966 "16 Magazine" article, I'm Mark Lindsay's ideal girl...
I am also a very good speller.
Comments and feedback are important to me, but please be polite when pointing out errors or making suggestions. I understand the fact that my writing is not perfect and can always use improvements, but I also believe that mistakes can be pointed out in a polite and helpful way.
Well, I guess that's it. Thanks for reading!
