Well hello there...I am a 32 year old married veterinarian, mother of two, living in the south and completely addicted to Twilight fanfiction.
I love reading WIP's and getting story alerts makes me happy. I try to review every chapter when reading a WIP, but I do slack off sometimes. I'm sorry if I ever leave you hanging by not reviewing a chapter once I start reading. It's often b/c I read the chapter on my Blackberry. If I'm reading a completed work, I usually review a few times as I go. I'm just not the most insightful reviewer, and sometimes feel silly leaving an "empty" review for a story with several thousand reviews. I find that stories with less reviews inspire me to review more. I love ADifferentForest and get alot of my rec's there!
I do find it...amusing that so many women who are NOT teenagers fell so in love with Edward Cullen and with the Edward/Bella relationship. Personally, I had never read any type of vampire book, nor was I interested in doing so. That all changed, of course, and after Twilight I think I read half of the other vampire-type young adult series out there. I also read the Sookie Stackhouse/True Blood series, and while I enjoyed all of the above, I have come to realize it wasn't necessarily the vampirism that made Twilight so intoxicating. It was just the damn character of Edward!
My first fanfic I read was Wide Awake, and I was completely hooked at that point. I absolutely LOVED that there was a way to read books on my computer, on the internet! I NEVER purchase books, because I just read too fast, and I don't like to keep books, just not interested in having a bookcase? IDK, but anyway, fanfiction was my discovery of the century, and I spend too much of my workday reading.
I am not into any other type of social networking, such as Facebook, Twitter, etc. This is my only internet vice, so I don't feel too guilty doing it!
I'd like to just give alot of thanks and appreciation to all the lovely ladies that share their time and immense talents with us in this community...I have read soooo many stories here that seem to outdo so many published works! I know everyone has their reasons, but just know that your fans are grateful and love you for it!
