Author has written 10 stories for Murdoch Mysteries, Horatio Hornblower, Titanic, Brothers in Arms, Band of Brothers, and Pacific.
Well, what to say?
The place I'm from is so small, I don't even know where it is. And I don't mean Britain, I mean Rotherham. I'm from Yorkshire, land of Alan Bennet, Whippits, Flat caps, pipes and Yorkshire puddings. We've a great many sayings, some don't really make sense to me, and I live here, so imagine the confusion visitors to Yorkshire get.
These are the top 10 sayings in Yorkshire, and they're also my favourite, see if you can work them out:
Sit thissen dahn an' tell me abaht it
See all, 'ear all, say nowt. Eat all, sup all,
Ee, by gum
Tha’ can allus tell a Yorkshireman,
Well, Ah'll go to t’foot of ahr stairs
It’s neither nowt nor summat
Put t'wood in t‘oil
Wheere ther’s muck, ther’s brass
An' Ah'll tell thi that fer nowt
I like fireworks, but I don't like the noise, but I do like explosions, which must be why I watch Mythbusters, Band of Brothers and The Pacific.
I don't tend to drink, but I do like the colours.
I like writing, and hopefully I'll get into University and get my degree in Creative Writing. Either that or I can go and work in Tesco.
I'm an odd ball, but I really don't mind at all, because my friends and family love me just the way I am.
My hair, honestly, is probably taller than I am, I reckon it could give Russell Brand a run for his money. It's wild, dark and curly, and I don't think I would look out of place with a caldron.
I adore Band of Brothers, which is why I've written so many stories for it, but I've got other things going too. The Big Bang Theory has to be one of my favourite shows in the world. Ever
The Only Way is Essex is my guilty pleasure , as is Celebrity Juice and Jeremy Kyle.
My favourite characters from anything are, Hoobs George and Malarkey from BoB, The Cat from Red Dwarf, Gene Hunt from A2A, Shultz from Hogan's Heroes and my all time favourite, Caboose, from RedvsBlue.
I have to say, I'm a bookworm, I'm reading Chaucer's Canterbury Tales, Sense and Sensibility, Emma, Withering Tights (Yes I mean Withering Tights, not the Bronte book) and my ghost story book. I like to read ghost stories, although they scare the living day lights out of me (I'm a self confessed fraidy cat)
I have a weird little ritual for my History class; every time I have it, I have to have a Twix. I'm forever eating in class, although, my history and math teachers know I do it.
So, that's just me, plain ole lass from Yorkshire :)
