I'm an...interesting sort with many likes/dislikes. Somebody hard to catagorize, if you may. My imagination is plentiful and my ability in art is large but ever so growing. In general, I'm your everyday "sophisticated" nerd. If you want to know about computers, talk to me. If you want to know about video games and anime, talk to me. Do you dream of conversations spilling over with the utmost disconcern for reality and the tangible? Well, that's just my surreal side...
Descriptions aside, here's an improper list of my obsessions and jewels. Quite a bit to be had, but that's what you should come to expect in my company.
-I wear glasses.
-I look younger than my age.
-Gender? The opposite of womanly but not the stereotypically macho. In other words, I'm male. But not into manly things like sports. Oh well.
-I played my first game at age 5.
-I drew my first drawing (Bart Simpson's head) at age 3.
-I love Anime, Manga, and Japanese culture itself. Does that make me an Otaku? Yes, but not a Weaboo. (Heck no.)
-Given that, I prefer watching Anime in Japanese; the original film. I prefer all foreign media in its original form, by the way.
-Video games are simply delicious. First-person shooters? Yeah, they're good. But not able to surpass Megami Tensei good. ;)
-Retro/vintage games are a big passion of mine. Who cares about realistic graphics when you can go back and buy some REAL gems? They can get costly (Panzer Dragoon Saga comes to mind) but are oh-so worth it.
-If you want specifics, I own all of these systems: NES, SNES, MegaDrive (Genesis), Saturn, Dreamcast, PSOne, N64, GameCube, PS2, PS3, Sega CD, GBA, GBC, Wii (Japanese one too, but I'll get to that later), and that's about it.
-I'm crazy for the imports. Some of my favorites include "Ossu! Tatakae! Ouendan" and "Silhouette Mirage". If you know about that last one, you know I'm a Treasure fan. ;)
-Besides games, I really love movies. Some of my most-beloved include "Jurassic Park", The Nightmare Before Christmas", "A Clockwork Orange", "The Evil Dead 2", "Pulp Fiction", "Donnie Darko", and just about anything oddball/ridiculous. (Just as long as its "tasteful" oddball/ridiculous. I'm really quite picky, to tell the truth.)
-Books are a big passion too, of course. If noticing Jurassic Park as one of my favorite movies clued you in, it would obviously be easy to guess the following; I love the novel. I love Michael Chrichton's work as a whole. I haven't read it all yet, but I someday wish to. Anthony Burgess and Stephen King are some other cool guys I admire as far as the world of literature is concerned. Also, I really don't like Harry Potter. No offense, but it just didn't click. :/
