Author has written 6 stories for Code Geass, and Naruto.
As a fanfiction writer, my ultimate goal is to enjoy my own writing. I'm not an aspiring professional writer, and I don't aim to write what I feel should have happened canonically. On the contrary, I would have enjoyed the canon so much that I sought to read more...and realized that what was out there didn't satisfy me, and so decided to write it myself. Some of them would probably interest others too, so why not share it and get some criticism too? That's why I'm here.
No doubt if you are reading this profile you are either one of my readers, or someone who has received a review from me.
If you are a reader, here's what you're probably looking for:
Currently on-going stories: Tomorrow; Spots;
Expected Update times:
Tomorrow - Delayed (Update once every 3 weeks)
Spots - Unknown (sporadic updates)
Stories on hold: Naruto: Question of Power;
Stories Abandoned: Code Geass: Lelouch of the Strategies; To Break the Cycle; Naruto: Depth of Darkness;
And here's what you should know:
-Feel free to flame/insult me if you like. I don't mind, in fact, it's better if you aren't afraid to show me the true extent of your disdain for my work. Most people aren't capable of expressing the full extent of the disgust they are able to feel, but I would want to know if it bothers anyone that much, and flames/insults help get the point across if you lack more sophisticated language of negative critique. If words can't describe how bad my work is...I wouldn't want you to waste time thinking about how to describe it, it's alright to just tell me to eff off.
If you received a review from me, here's what you should know:
-I only review when a story is good enough that I want to encourage you to write more or differently. Just getting a review from me at all means your story was worth reviewing. Where there are significant criticisms, you should not take that to mean that your story is bad. It just means that there are aspects which I think could be significantly improved.
Q: Why is Naruto: Question of Power still on hold? It's been years since the last update. Are you actually still going to continue it?
A: This was my second story on FF.net and although a lot of work was put into it, I realized that the story was far from what I initially envisioned, and it had many failings which reviewers pointed out. If that was all, I could perhaps have done major editing and continued, as there were many readers who were following it and it continues to be my most popular story despite the issues. However, the real problem is that I didn't have enough of a plot outline at the onset; I relied on the canon as a crutch to drive the story and once I realized that it simply wasn't interesting to follow the canon, I also found myself not knowing what else to write. By the latest chapters, I felt as if I wrote myself into a corner because there were many plot issues that I couldn't resolve in a satisfying way. It was more of a wish-fulfillment story than one in which the premise that Naruto was a genius held true. Today, there are a number of other stories with similar elements that handled them better than I did and at this point even though I don't want to give up entirely I know it's going to take a huge re-haul that I don't have the energy for. So, on hold indefinitely until maybe I find some inspiration.
Q: Why was _ abandoned?
A: The answer the same for all 3 stories. I had the beginnings of an idea, and rushed to write it, but I did not have an entire plot envisioned. Once I wrote up to where the initial ideas ended, I was forced to stop. Plus, the reception on these weren't amazing either so I didn't spend too much time thinking about how to continue.
Q: Is your update schedule for Tomorrow legitimate?
A: I hope so. I am following it thus far. I also have a couple of chapters already written up near completion so it shouldn't be too hard to follow this.
Q: If you have more chapters already written, why don't you publish them?
A: I give myself this time on schedule because I know that after I initially write the chapters, I am likely to want to make edits. Tomorrow is an especially difficult story to write because I want to demonstrate relevant characters as real strategy experts. Every conflict and its resolution has vast intricacies. But at the same time, I'm not on the same level as Lelouch so I need time to compensate and figure out where the strategies have issues, and I also need to review to ensure that readers can understand it. Things that are obvious to me who decides how everyone acts in-story are often not obvious to readers and this can cause confusion.
