Author has written 46 stories for Harvest Moon, Mario, Harry Potter, Alice in Wonderland, Sailor Moon, Ranma, My Little Pony, Suikoden, and Silent Hill.
I'm alive! Writing! Revived Love Affairs is done, and thus ends a strange chapter in my writing life.
Might return to Silent House someday, too.
In the meantime, I'm working on a new multi-chapter Harvest Moon story: Stumbling Out of the Shadows, set in the Animal Parade universe. It's a slashfic and there will be mature content later on down the road - but I also intend for it to cover wider bases than just romance. Friendship, personal growth, the supernatural elements of the bells and the whole restoration angle - I want to see what I can do on very unfamiliar ground. I'll also be exploring more perspectives than just Kasey's, as I get more comfortable with the characters - we'll see how that works out for me. Basically, it's a big step out of my comfort zone, and I'm kind of stoked to explore Zone X.
Heralded by a hellish summer! Chapter 7, appearing beautifully! Chapter 8 will appear gracefully one of these days - I've finally gotten it started, it's just a matter of making sure the flow is as graceful as Sailor Neptune's sick-ass rhymes on the mic.
Since I primarily stick to Harvest Moon/Story of Seasons these days, that's about what you can expect from me, aside from the odd one- or two-shot in other areas (Sailor Moon, maybe Harry Potter or Suikoden). Excite.
Now, the other crap, if you're still reading and are just that curious about me:
I'm a 28-year-old guy who routinely gets trapped in traffic by the tourists of periodically-sunny Florida. If I could, I'd fall asleep in the gridlock and let the other cars buffet me along to my destination. Work for them until they work for me. Given that my current job is in the tourist industry, however, I might accidentally take out our bread and butter, or myself.
Like most people, I love music. I mean, majorly. It's not a good drive unless I'm singing along with whatever's on my mp3 player on the way (even if it's in a foreign language and I mangle the pronunciation). Generally, particularly in my longer stories, I may make a few song references here and there - whether it's having someone singing to themselves, dancing along, or even slipping in a passing reference in the prose.
For some reason, whenever I'm off on a good roll, I tend to write pretty late into the night, then post my stuff really friggin' early in the morning before crashing. As such, even after careful re-reading, I'll still catch and correct errors I didn't spot before, well after posting. So I may slightly edit and re-upload the chapter, over and over and over again, about 30 or so times before I'm satisfied with the amount of commas used (and not used), the fluidity of phrasing, and whether or not the writing is too repetitive (i.e., people separately "regarding" each other a sentence or two apart). In short, I'm anal, but usually far later than I should be.
I do try and review when I have something to say - whether it's constructive critique or just plain gushing, creepy feedback. But I might not always have something to say, even if I favorite or follow something. So if I've reviewed one chapter, but not the next few - that doesn't necessarily mean I think it suddenly sucks or anything.
I can possibly come off nitpicky at times in my critique, but mainly because I think a story's already pretty good (maybe even really good), and would be even better with a little technical clean-up. I try to keep my con-crits friendly without coming off like I'm riding someone's ass over an error here and there.
I do try and respond to reviews when I can, as well as PMs! Between work, writing, and gaming, that may take a while, but it was how I befriended a couple pretty bomb-ass people on here, so I'm always up to try and cultivate more friendships! Sometimes, however, it may take a while to respond - I don't like to feel like I'm imposing on people, I don't like to try and force conversation for its own sake, and I do get fairly distracted by other things.
