Author has written 67 stories for Harvest Moon, Mario, Harry Potter, Alice in Wonderland, Sailor Moon, Ranma, My Little Pony, Suikoden, Silent Hill, Lunar: Eternal Blue, Mortal Kombat, Tomb Raider, and Final Fantasy VIII.
Current Events: Things may possibly be slower to update for a while. Bit of upheaval going on in my personal life right now.
Current Pet Project:
Stumbling Out of the Shadows: Harvest Moon: Animal Parade. Adventure, Friendship, Romance, a bit Supernatural, trying to divide focus neatly between those genres. Slash (M/M), though I'll let the pairing reveal itself as the story moves along. Or you can read the reviews to find out! T for now, but will shift to M later.
"Moving to Castanet with hopes of coming out of his shy, introverted shell and doing something worthwhile with his life, Kasey Manatos finds himself roped into saving an endangered land from itself. But in his absolute willingness to help out and prove himself, his recklessness may wind up causing its own problems, as well..."
Chapter 20 finally happens! Taking a break before taking on chapter 21... part of which I've already had written for months anyway. That part will probably just need a little further tweaking to fit into chapter 21 now, once the rest is written.
Re-reading older chapters, there are a few spots I want to go back and edit when I have the time and energy. On the plus side, I've FINALLY gone back and fixed the name of the carpenters' to Cornet Carpentry. I liked Harpsichord Carpentry, but if sources say it's Cornet...
Other Current Projects:
Standoff: Harvest Moon: Back to Nature. Romance, Drama. Slash (M/M), Jack/Cliff. Trying to split the focus between the two.
"On opposite sides of a bitter winter, two young men find quiet little Mineral Town, and gradually grow closer: One, a gentle, shy drifter, determined to stop being a burden; the other, a kind-hearted farmer, determined to help him no matter what. Unfortunately for them, they're both steadfastly stubborn, and too proud to acquiesce. Who will win this standoff?"
Got chapter 1 up! Finally trying to slowly pick away at chapter 2, however long that will take. Another side project, albeit unrelated to Unearthed and Shadows. I wanted to write something about Jack and Cliff (even if Cliff's overused and I enjoy him with Ann, I like the potential he and Jack have), and return to Mineral Town. Hopefully, this endeavor will wind up better than Love Affairs did. This one will probably be on the shorter side, overall, and the writing style is slightly new to me.
Currently fairly stuck on chapter 2 (planning to continue it, though!), but I just need to get in the proper mindset for this one.
Days Ahead: Suikoden II. Friendship, Adventure. Slash (M/M), Jowy/Riou. (With Nanami as a tritagonist.)
"With the war behind them and the whole world ahead of them, Riou, Jowy, and Nanami embark on an adventure they never dreamed they'd get to share with each other - but they'll each have to deal with much more than just the typical hardships and dangers on their journey together."
Chapter 2 finally happened, once I settled on what to do with it. Chapter 3 will come when it comes. I've been wanting to write something for Suikoden II that's multi-chapter and focuses on the trio, though (and pairing Riou and Jowy), and hopefully the adventure plot I have in mind pans out well. And hopefully I don't screw up my knowledge of the Suiko world too terribly. I at least have a more immediately usable plot for this than I did for Unearthed, different fandom though it may be.
Finding the Way Forward: Story of Seasons. Friendship, Drama, Romance, Family, Slice-of-Life. Slash (M/M), though there will also be a prominent M/F pairing as well, eventually. Johnny, Fritz, and Elise as the main focuses, with Johnny/Fritz as the primary pairing. Some darker themes will be present in the story.
"Three young adults move to Oak Tree Town - each an outsider in their own way, setting out on their own paths in life under their own circumstances. When those paths begin to cross over and influence each other, they all find that they might have some growing up to do if they want to find their way forward in life."
Chapter 1 is up! Hopefully, it gets decent reception. Chapter 2 will come eventually, though I'm planning to work a bit on my other stories first.
Other Possible Future Projects:
Untitled "Story of Seasons" Fics. Just multiple ideas, all slash, various pairings. Some one-shots, some multi-chapters.
Untitled "Tale of Two Towns" Fic. Mostly just one slash story, possibly multi-chapter, Phillip as the farmer. Only thing I have in mind is the primary pairing. No actual plot I'd be happy to work with yet. Which is probably all for the best right now, because I'm only on my second attempt at getting into the game and getting to know everyone. And since Two Towns kind of sucks, that's easier said than done.
Untitled General "Harvest Moon" Fics. Because I'm so anal about separating the two titles. Various games in the series - Back to Nature, Grand Bazaar, Magical Melody... if I can get past the toddler-y character designs of those last two. Slash, slash, who the hell is surprised? Maybe one-shots, maybe multi-chapters. Various pairings, though I'm not fully settled yet on the actual characters. We'll see!
Since I primarily stick to Harvest Moon/Story of Seasons these days, that's about what you can expect from me, aside from the odd one- or two-shot in other areas (Sailor Moon, maybe Harry Potter or Suikoden). Excite.
Basically, since I prefer M/M pairings anyway, and wanna see what I can make work out of them, I'll be doing my best to give other slash fans something good to read! And try my hand at a little more F/F stuff to see how I handle it, so fans of femmeslash should also keep an eye out! If you're not a fan of that, well, I still do write non-slash. Up to and including my trademark "What the fuck is wrong with your brain? Jesus Christ, dude!" stories.
I may also give some of my other stories covers. Right now, The Line, Stumbling Out of the Shadows, The Mineral Town Tales Collection, Oh, These Revived Love Affairs, and Unearthed feature covers created by me, from simple picture cropping, to time spent slaving in Photoshop. Silent House's cover is not owned by me. Justice Funk's cover technically isn't owned by me, though, I did put in a little time with it in Photoshop.
Silent House. Currently, indefinite hiatus - that one took a lot out of me, and the mindset I was in to even start it was... not the best mindset of my life, so the thought of going back to it - with some of the plot points I had in mind - is a bit draining and daunting. I may go back someday and re-write, because while there are aspects of it that I love, other parts of it kind of make me cringe. I think it could just overall use a fresh coat of paint, if I ever return to it. But, for now, you may see passing references to it in some of my other stories! (Especially the primary pairing, which I actually had quite a lot of fun writing.)
Unearthed. I've kind of stalled on where I'm taking the story vs. where it should go and how to balance that just so. I want to make sure the contributions all of the lead characters make are meaningful, too (especially Henry, since I have him essentially staked as the lead), before I continue on. Hopefully, I'll figure it out someday, since I want to keep on with it. I just don't want it to feel as contrived as it's feeling like it'll be.
Now, the other crap, if you're still reading and are just that curious about me:
I'm a 30-year-old guy who, for some reason, still writes fanfiction seriously. It's really more of a hobby, but that doesn't mean I don't want to improve at it! (Although I do overthink it a lot.) I dwell in Florida, which means I inevitably work with tourists and old people, because everyone in Florida works with tourists and old people. That's our whole population. Someday, I aim to make my way north and carve a terrifying path through the music industry. Also, despite my twisted sense of humor (and my fondness for being ridiculously over-the-top) and my love of horror, I can be surprisingly sappy. I love well-done romance (and hope to do some myself, someday), and fluff. Which probably baffles people.
Like most people, I love music. I mean, majorly - I sing (and work to improve), I write songs, and want to be a professional recording artist someday. It's not a good drive unless I'm singing along with whatever's on my mp3 player on the way (even if it's in a foreign language and I mangle the pronunciation). Generally, particularly in my longer stories, I may make a few song references here and there. Though, it'll mostly be in the Harvest Moon world - it's fun to develop them more by giving them specific tastes, even if they don't quite hit my own.
And if you're just that curious about my tastes, some of my favorite...
Musical Acts: Ayumi Hamasaki, Mary J. Blige, Stevie Nicks, Utada Hikaru, Alicia Keys, Mika Nakashima, Kelly Clarkson, Carly Rae Jepsen, Keith Urban, Sade, Sara Bareilles, Janet Jackson, Kylie Minogue, Hunter Hayes, Colbie Caillat, Mariah Carey, Carrie Underwood, Loreena McKennitt, Enya, Madonna, Ellie Goulding, Melanie C, OneRepublic, Laura Pausini, Tori Amos, Bruno Mars, Brandy, BoA, Bon Jovi, Heart, Pat Benatar, Daughtry, Miliyah Kato, Namie Amuro
Games/Series: Suikoden (especially II and V), Lunar, Lufia II, Breath of Fire, Harvest Moon/Story of Seasons, Silent Hill, Uncharted, Final Fantasy (especially VI, VII, IX, and X), Bayonetta, Yoshi's Island, Super Mario (RPG and Galaxy in particular), The Legend of Zelda, Kirby, Donkey Kong Country, Mario Kart, Metroid, Tomb Raider (1990s, Legends/Anniversary reboot, or 2013 reboot - fuck Underworld, though)
Shows/Movies: Modern Family, Futurama, American Dad!, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, South Park, Archer, Sailor Moon, Mean Girls, Airplane!, Chicago, Big Hero 6, Frozen, Mulan, The Little Mermaid, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Wreck-It Ralph, The Princess and the Frog, The Lion King, Moana
(Disney theme? What Disney theme?)
Current Addictions: South Park. I'm on a massive catch-up binge with a few more seasons to go. I need that Montage song to play while I'm watching so it'll seem like I'm catching up faster. And Archer, just now starting off to give myself a break from South Park.
I have a horrific habit of staying up late writing because I tend to get bursts of inspiration when I should be asleep (and suffer from chronic insomnia anyway, so why the hell not?). I also tend to miss some mistakes until my story's well and fully uploaded - therefore, I obsessively re-read, re-edit, and re-upload probably for like 3-5 days after uploading a thing just because new things jump out at me. Hell, I may start re-editing older chapters for similar reasons!
I do try and review when I have something to say - whether it's constructive critique or just plain gushing, creepy feedback. But I might not always have something to say, even if I favorite or follow something. So if I've reviewed one chapter, but not the next few - that doesn't necessarily mean I think it suddenly sucks or anything. My reviews do veer into wall-of-text these days, but I'm trying to tailor it to the author and the story lately.
I can possibly come off nitpicky at times in my critique, but mainly because I think a story's already pretty good (maybe even really good), and would be even better with a little technical clean-up - though I'm not gonna claim I'll catch every error. I try to keep my con-crits friendly without coming off like I'm riding someone's ass over a slip-up here and there. Though, I will sometimes just stop mentioning the issues (or stop reviewing) if it feels like my suggestions for clean-up and improvement are falling on deaf ears.
I do try and respond to reviews when I can, as well as PMs! Between work, writing, and gaming, that may take a while, but it was how I befriended a couple pretty bomb-ass people on here, so I'm always up to try and cultivate more friendships! Sometimes, however, it may take a while to respond - I don't like to feel like I'm imposing on people, I don't like to try and force conversation for its own sake, and I do get fairly distracted by other things. Though, as you can tell from my profile... get me talking, and... yeah. I'll back off, however, if I get the sense someone really isn't interested in actually carrying on a conversation.
