Two updates in one month? You better believe it! Okay, I'm going to calm down before I end up on another unplanned hiatus.
Anyway, other than that, I'll continue trying to push out updates per month. I think next on my list is either Horns, or PAL. A post-game either way since I have started too many of them. Here's to hoping one day I can complete all these stories and can finally put an end to my nonsense!

Hey everyone. Quick update for those reading my new short story Dincht Day. I've updated chapter 2 and will get started on chapter 3 once I've completed chapter 24 of Leather Black Diary. I am hoping to get an update for that out soon, but it all depends on where I finish the chapter, and whether or not my beta is available. I honestly don't like not using a beta as when I write, I usually type until my fingers get tired, and for the life of me, I can't bear to go back and read over my work.
Also, thanks to those who got back to me about beta reading. I have decided on one person in particular, however, if my LBD beta isn't active soon, I may need another. I'll let you know if/when the time comes.

Told you I'll be back with an update. Let's hope these monthly ones are consistent!
For those following my updates, via the above social mediums, I mentioned I was in the process of writing a Zell fic. I've posted the first chapter today (fairly short) and will post the rest alongside my other fics. I wrote this to get over my writer's block, well it wasn't really a block, but more of a lack of enthusiasm.
Hopefully you will like it, if not, then there's always my earlier works for you to read over. ;)

Let's just put aside the fact that there's been no updates in September and October, and celebrate an update for a fic that hasn't been updated in nearly three years! Yay! *throws confetti*
Chapter 7 of Amber Lights has been updated for your reading pleasure. You might want to skim over the other chapters to retrace the storyline - heck, even I forget sometimes. That's the one where they meet online first, right?
In other news, my previous beta-reader for AL is no longer active, so I am in need of a new beta. I generally want someone who knows what to look out for both in terms of language and the game. I will mention one thing, my stories are all my own work, I don't mind beta's giving me tips on improving my sentences and making them more concise but, I don't want someone who will dictate a "better story direction". By all means, if something isn't plausible, that's open for debate.
Well, other than that, I hope whoever is reading is enjoying the updates, and I'll write next update.
Image feature: We now have an Image Manager feature which uses images for book covers to our stories (Yipee!). I wanted to know if any of my readers are good at creating pictures, much like posters, that could be used as book covers. Of course, it'd have to relate to my stories - so no yaoi pics of SquallxSeifer for Breaking Through Appearances :P
If you'd like to help me out, then you can send in your images to firstname.lastname@example.org making sure to title that it is for the picture comp, and also give me a line or two for which story you are submitting the picture for and why you have chosen the images you did.
Reviews: - A word about reviews. I've recently seen two authors on FFnet be referred to as 'review-begging' because they have asked for feedback/stated feedback makes them update faster. While I don't think every reader is obligated to review a story once they have read it, I do think it's courteous to at least let the writer know you've been reading and appreciate their efforts.
I am a writer who asks for reviews, and I don't think there is anything shameful about that. I frequently receive PMs from readers requesting updates, and very few of them go on to actually review the update. Do I mind? Honestly, yes. I post my work publicly to get feedback, I don't expect to be drowned in reviews, but if you contact me to update, I expect at least a thank you via review or PM.
Personally, I never finish a chapter/story without leaving a review. The only time I ever do that is when I literally have nothing nice or constructive to say. On average, most chapters are 5,000 words. A review can easily be one line. But, that is my personal stance towards other writer's works -- I don't expect everyone to do the same for me.
Anyway, that's just my thoughts. You're welcome to share yours via PM :)
Info about Me: Edited June 2014
My name is Muktha, it means 'pearl'. You will now probably spend 15 minutes trying to pronounce it before succumbing to find a fairly accurate audio. I am 26 years old, married, and I live in England.
I started writing fanfiction in 2010 after reading so many great fanfictions by other awesome writers. Reading has always been of great interest to me. I find that reading books for any age, and broadening my tastes to all types of genres, has exposed me to some really great stories. It is for that reason I have aimed some of my works at teen audiences, others are directed more towards young adults, while the post-games are usually for mature readers.
Writing for all types of audiences has developed my writing skills, motivated and inspired new ideas, and enabled me to make some really fantastic friends here.

Some of my stories parody another in some way.
Michelle Haize is a motif in all postgame stories as Squall's love interest. Her character was inspired by Ashbear's Lauren Rachels.
Lauren Rachels also makes a cameo in Horns of a Dilemma.
Zack Fair was initially set to play the role of Mr Nooj in Breaking Through Appearances, but was replaced due to already having a similar role in The Set Up.
In Leather Black Diary (chapter 7), Rinoa and Caraway watch a football (soccer) match. The actual game was based on the FIFA Arsenal vs. Barcelona second leg at Nou Camp.
In The Set Up (chapter 11), n9neSTAR and I play a small cameo as Bailey and Sabrina where our characters are pushed into a fountain by Seifer, recreating the scene in From Riches to Fame where Rinoa and Squall suffer the same fate.
A lot of effort and care goes into my stories and a great deal of that is down to the work you guys put in. So a very big thank you to all my betas.
