"I'm not in denial. I'm just selective about the reality I accept." - Calvin & Hobbs.
I love that quote. And when I discovered fanfiction a while back, I loved the fact that people can take those "realities" and morph them into anything they wanted to 'see.' That's probably why escaping via the written word is something I just have to do. When I was younger, I acted out the stories in my head. Now, I put them down onto paper. The only downside? I usually go back, dislike it, and end up throwing it away...I have yet to actually finish anything original. Oh well, maybe one day, right?
It had never really occurred to me to take already developed characters and do something with them...until I discovered fanfiction. I have a lot of ideas, and I think I may just have to share them once I've fleshed them out some more. In the mean time, I'm going to thoroughly enjoy getting lost in the worlds created by everyone else.
