Hello!
Profile Ver. 12
About me:
I've been on for 14 years. Scary stuff indeed. I still like to write fanfiction, although I mostly write short stories now for the CommentFic community on LiveJournal. Filling daily prompts gives me a nice creative outlet and allows me to stretch myself into different fandoms without spending years on one fic.
Speaking of years, it only took a decade, but I finally finished "Crossing the River," a pokemon fic that I'd been working on since 2002. It is quite different from my other Pokemon stories, however, and most likely my last large-scale fic for awhile.
Fanfiction History:
I’ve been writing fanfiction for nearly 15 years now. I started in February 2000 with the story "Raw is South Park," a story that combined wrestling and my favorite TV show. After that I wrote numerous South Park fics, my personal favorites being "Invasion" and "The Day Kenny Didn’t Die," where I did the strange thing (at the time) of mixing South Park with drama and romance. It was about this time I realized I'm a total sucker for romantic fanfiction. Almost all of those fics were written in script format and were purged years ago from when they banned them. I thought they were all lost, but years later, I found a CD with all of the original files.
Then one day, I watched "Pokemon: The First Movie" out of curiosity. After that I got hooked on Pokemon for a few years, although I've pretty given it up since the third season. That didn't stop me from reading and writing fanfiction in the fandom. I found great stories.
I first started writing fanfiction for two reasons. 1) Sheer boredom. 2) An attempt to improve my writing so one day I might become a professional writer (or at least have the skills to try).
