Author has written 3 stories for Heroes, Lost, and NCIS.
Oh, what to say about myself...
I'm a 22-year-old senior in college studying Anthropology and International Relations. Currently I'm working on my anthro capstone/thesis, focusing on the expression of female sexuality through the creation and consumption of male/male fan fiction. If you're interested in helping me out with my research, feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
I'm on tumblr - have been for two years - but I have yet to start the blog that actually would reflect my likes. Currently I just have one where I occasionally re-blog sunsets and landscapes and owls. But if you want to check it out, or message me, you can find me at onelaststarrise.tumblr.com.
I'm currently obsessed with Supernatural; last spring, I watched the first 189 episodes in 45 days. Whoops. I'll ship Destiel to the day I die.
I also love the Marvel Cinematic Universe - especially Captain America (still not over Winter Soldier).
Other recent TV obsessions include Doctor Who (though I'm not a huge fan of Series 8... sorry), Torchwood, and Sherlock. Favourite older shows include Bones, Lost, Heroes, Primeval, Numb3rs, NCIS, House, White Collar, and Psych.
I love Pacific coast sunsets. I could spend an eternity just watching the ocean, especially at night.
The concept of time, and of the universe, fascinates me. The concept of eternity scares me to death.
If you've never just stopped to think about life, and how amazing it is that you're alive, that all the little things came together in such a way as to make you who you are, then you should. It blows my mind every time. It's just so unreal. What is consciousness, and how does it even exist? It's all just so amazing, no matter your personal views.
"It only ends once. Anything that happens before that is just progress." --Jacob, Lost
"You'll find that many of the truths we cling to depend greatly upon our own point of view." --Obi-Wan Kenobi, Star Wars
"If you eliminate the impossible, whatever remains - however improbable - must be the truth." --Sherlock Holmes
"Only fear can defeat life." --Life of Pi
"Why is there evil? How many angels can dance on the head of a pin? How do we make love stay?" --Sylar, Heroes
See I’m all about them words… over numbers, unencumbered numbered words… hundreds of pages, pages, pages for words… more words than I had ever heard and I feel so alive…
--You and I Both, Jason Mraz
So these days, I don't really write much - life keeps me too busy. But I used to dabble in actually writing fic; having said that...
Stories, completed and in the works:
Save Me From the Dark: A oneshot drabble of sorts about what was going on in Sylar's head while he was trapped in his own mind. Takes place pre- "The Wall". Complete.
A Chance Encounter: A oneshot Heroes-Lost crossover, in which Hiro takes a trip through time and accidentally ends up in 1976, where he meets one Daniel Faraday, and unwittingly changes the course of time. An interesting take on why Faraday changed his mind about whatever happened, happened. Takes place pre- “The Variable” (Lost) and pre- “Tabula Rasa” (Heroes). Obviously AU. Complete.
Whatever Happened, Happened?: What if it didn’t? Daniel has an epiphany. My take on why he suddenly thought that he could change the future… or the past… or whatever. Primarily in-universe, probably a two-shot but maybe multi-chapter. In the works.
Life's too Short to Pretend: Ziva is forced to confront her feelings. And when she does, she comes to the conclusion that life's just too short to hold back. But what will she do now that she's realized it? Does she have the courage, can she find the words? Tiva oneshot. Complete.
