ON FANFICTION (with keywords in bold):
I am an optimist at heart.
A romantic, if you will.
And I like fics to be... well, if not happy(I'm as much a fan of hurt/comfort as the next creepy fangi--er, fandom enthusiast)... if not happy, then at least hopeful.
Therefore, for the most part, I do not like deathfics. At all. In my mind, beloved characters live on forever, and any speculation to the contrary will simply make me stick my fingers in my ears and sing "NA-NA NA-NA NA-NA NA-NA BATMAAAAN!" at the top of my lungs.
So, yeah. No deathfics for me.
And I don't ship... well, anything, really. A few canon ships are cute, like Hiccup/Astrid from HTTYD, but I really much prefer gen fic. Despite this, I do have a few romance fics in my favorites list, and any of those I would heartily recommend.
Gen fluff makes my heart melt into pudding.
And last, but most certainly not least, good spelling and grammar are very important to me. Very, very important. It is my firm belief that with the decline of grammar comes the decline of society; I haven't been able to find any data to back that up yet, but I'm sure that's just an oversight on the part of our historians. All of these comma splices and dangling participles simply can't be good for the health of our nation(s)!
Oh, and as for my own fics... I'm keeping up the Night at the Museum one and the National Treasure one because I believe in keeping complete records, but looking back at them makes me facepalm. I'd suggest you don't read them.
