Gears of Fate: Rubs back of neck
So I haven't really been working on chapter one lately, I've been using my time for myself, playing some old games, working on my relationship, working on myself, discovering music, adjusting to my new self, that sort of stuff. Chapter one is still looking good though, it's much better than the prologue (which isn't very hard to beat). Last thing I was doing was starting a sweet boat scene (spoiler, Link is a Calatian fisherman) and editing comma splices and other things in previous paragraphs. Good things to come, patience dear people. All two of you. :s
PM me with any questions you may have.
The Soul Beneath (or rather, the concept): So, the main reason I discontinued this story is that I started it with absolutely no plan, all disconnected events in my head I had no idea how to connect, so I gave up when I hit an early roadblock. Now, it's very possible I will start a rewrite sometime in the future and most likely post it under a new name with tweaked ideas and themes and characters, stuff like that. You know, once I have a plan. But for now, GoF is the priority.
Gears of Fate: You know, I've been thinking lately that I could tone it down to a T rating so it would show up in searches, but then I'd either have to cut the gore and some of the profanity (that I personally enjoy because I'm a twisted fucker), or put a warning at the start of some chapters. I'm thinking of doing the latter option because really, there are no moderators on this site that will sit through an entire story to see if it violates the rating rules. Honestly, I don't think there are any moderators, period, lol. Anyway, chapter one is looking cool. I've been tweaking my style recently to correct comma splices and shit so it feels like less of a hassle to read my bigass sentences. :P Anyway, just stay on your toes for the next chapter.
PM me with any questions you may have.
Gears of Fate: I actually had a good spurt of writing today (at school of all places), and quite a good bit down on that first chapter. It won't be coming any time soon , but it's slowly getting there, folks. PM with any questions you may have.
DISCONTINUATION: The Soul Beneath is officially discontinued, expect nothing more from that story. Sorry readers, the whopping two or three people that actually read these. Gears of Fate is the primary focus, I'd appreciate it if you'd give the prologue a read and be patient with me while I write the first chapter. PM me with any questions you may have.
General: Hoo boy, I'm a little late on this one, huh. That's mostly because I don't really have much to report, sadly. I'm in a weird place emotionally right now because of March Break. Going this long without a purpose is weird. School, while exhausting, gave me something to do and distracted me for a while, gave me a source of inspiration. I feel like I'm just sorta... here, if that makes sense. I open my chapters from time to time and I bite my imaginary pencil and think but I just write a bad sentence and go back to playing MM3D or watching anime (Durarara, Kill la Kill). I'm trying folks, I promise. I need to pick up something to read to get me going, I think. As usual, feel free to PM me and ask whatever you'd like.
Gears of Fate: While it's not close to being done, chapter one is living up to my own standards so far and when I find the rhythm for writing again I'm sure I'll have a good bit done in no time.
The Soul Beneath: Eh, I've never really understood why this one is so popular. I started it without a plan and I still have yet to draw one up so it's still based on separate events I thought up, which might be why I'm having troubles. I think I'll look into getting something concrete plotted and I'll give it another shot. I've been thinking recently of actually restarting and writing it differently, but that's for another day. Again, there's a certain mood that helps me write this story and it's not a good one to put it simply, and while I'd like to write it, it hasn't struck me (not sure if I should be grateful). Whatever, I'll get back to you.

Full Summary: Hundreds of years have passed since the last Hero of Hyrule saved the Golden Land and bestowed upon the kingdom its longest period of peace. Technology flourished in this time and Hyrule dominated the surrounding nations through conquest and rules with a watchful eye. Now, a bloody war rages between the Hyruleans and the desert-dwelling Gerudo, while sky pirates raid merchant ships and warships on both sides of the conflict. Pirate Captain Link Hylia and the crew of his ship, the Scarlet Dawn, are suddenly thrust into the long forgotten battle between good and evil that has spanned thousands of years. With the help of a mysterious violet-eyed woman, Link must travel around the world to find the means to put an end to the war, while at the same time dealing with his own inner demons and the bloodstained memories of his past. His monumental undertaking will uncover the secrets of Hyrule's Royal Family and the shocking revelation of who his closest friend really is. The Triforce has chosen new Bearers, the Master Sword will accept a new wielder, and the destiny of the great kingdom of Hyrule will rest in a lone sky pirate's hands. The Gears of Fate are turning once more and there is no stopping them.
