![]() Author has written 5 stories for Mortal Instruments, Maximum Ride, Hunger Games, and Iron Fey Series. I think it's about time for another profile overhaul! Okay... things to say about me. My name is Chloe. Hi, nice to meet you. I'm 21. I'm from Colorado, but I go to college in Oregon, and I consider both places to be home. What else do people usually say in these short elevator intros? I'm a girl - if you know any guys named Chloe then... I don't know, but I've only ever heard of girls being named Chloe. Interesting fact about my name: a lot of the time when people learn it, they go, "Oh, my dog is named Chloe!" I bet you can imagine how good that makes me feel. Let's seeeeeeeee... I like to read and write, obviously. This is a fanfiction account, after all. Instead of listing my favorite books, I'll just tell you what's on my bookshelf: Harry Potter Mortal Instruments Infernal Devices Iron Fey (including the Lost Prince & Iron Traitor) all of John Green's books Eleanor & Park Fangirl Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight This is What Happy Looks Like Theatre Illuminata Skinned Trilogy Vampire Academy Hunger Games part of the Young Wizards series (I really liked that... I should finish it...) Darkness Rising trilogy Time Between Us/Time After Time Tattoo/Fate Divergent Graceling Realm seriesPhew! That was more than I thought. So those are a few books I love. There are others that I just borrowed from friends and stuff. Besides reading & writing, I like music. It sounds so dumb to say that. I feel like a 12 year old. "muzik iz my lyfe!!!!!11!!" But honestly, I was in choir all 4 years of high school and hope to continue it all throughout college, and I was also in band all throughout high school (clarinet). So... I do feel like music is kind of an important part of who I am. As far as what music I listen to, my favorite band is OneRepublic. I also like Sara Bareilles, Howie Day, Death Cab for Cutie, Snow Patrol, fun., Jack Johnson, Dave Matthews, Imagine Dragons, Josh Ritter... those are the ones I have on my phone. But I listen to other stuff too. Really the only things I don't listen to are country, rap, and screamo. I was in drama in high school. I'm not continuing with theater in college... but I really like it, anyway. I at least love watching plays, if not being in them. A lot of people can tell my personality pretty well just from the way I phrase things, so I guess if you want to know more about me pay attention to that? I have a cat. So. There's that. (I swear I did not mean to rhyme just now.) What else can I say about myself?????????? I'm the kind of person who hardly owns a pair of pants that isn't jeans. Does that say something about my personality? Maybe. I don't know what that would be... Plus I've gotten into a habit of wearing skirts & leggings... Ah, tv and movies! The shows I watch do not seem to be very popular... I watch Believe, Perception, Covert Affairs, Suits, A to Z... and that's about it. Every once in a while I'll catch an episode of NCIS: Los Angeles. I loved Merlin, but I can't really say I watch that anymore considering it's not on. Same with Fringe. (Though I'm still behind on that one...) One of my favorite shows ever was Pushing Daisies, but that hasn't been on since 2009, so. As far as movies go, some of my favorites are Princess Bride, Penelope, Midnight in Paris, The Grand Budapest Hotel, and The Adjustment Bureau. So, there's this website called Space Email and basically you get random messages from anonymous people. (Here's a link if you want to check it out.) But anyway, I was on there and I got this message which I think is very true, very profound, and just something that a lot of people need to hear. So this next italic part is not my words, but sending you to Space Email is the closest I can give to credit since it's anonymous and all. there's so many kinds of love. -the love you feel for a romantic partner -the love you feel for a friend -the love you feel for a household pet -the love you feel for your favorite sweater that's only the first four I could think of don't worry if you haven't "fallen in love" with one person yet you may never "fall" for someone the way some people do but as long as your life is filled with some kind of love be it a passionate profession or a tight-knit group of reliable friends you can rest assured that love has found you in this strange, scary world and it's going to keep you safe That is exactly how I feel about love, so thank you -- whoever you are -- for putting this into words for me. Okay, I am going to try to pick ONE favorite character from all the books I listed earlier, in the same order: Ron Simon Will Ethan Augustus Park Levi Oliver Quinn (hey look, a girl!) Ariel (back to boys) Auden Mason Um... Peeta? Kit Daniel Bennett James Will SafLook, I made it! Some of those were really hard to pick. I'm just surprised that there's a girl in there! I didn't expect that to happen. Not that I don't like girl characters. (Hermione is pretty undeniably great.) I just usually like the guys more. Okay, I think that's all I've got for now. Feel free to PM me about any of this! Or about anything you want! Talk to me about random stuff like the apple tree in your back yard, I don't care. Oh yeah, and my tumblr is mundanedaydream. If you care. (I'm infinitely more active on that site than this one.) |
