Four years have gone by since I first made this account. It's a little crazy to think that I'm just here to express myself and yet most people have something very positive to say and offer me guidance on places where I could use improvement. You have no idea how much this silly little website means to me. Thank you all for everything.
I'm also on FictionPress (madasahatterx).
Just to let you know: I do introduce myself as Hatter of Madness on here for several reasons. However, I will no object to any requests at a friendship. I would love to make friends on here. And if I feel comfortable with you, I'll even tell you my real name. ;) Doesn't that sound enticing?! (Okay in reality I am a seventeen-year-old girl who is so scarily introverted that she has like two real life friends)
I AM PROUD TO ANNOUNCE MY NEWEST HARRY POTTER PROJECT
A lot of people I have seen have complained about the Harry Potter movies. While I am a very big fan of what the director was capable of while making each film less than three hours long, I will admit they did leave out some things that would have been nice to play onto the screen. Someone suggested that they should have made the books into a TV series instead of a movie. My newest project is that I am going to translate each book from a, well, book to the script of a television episode. This is going to take a very long time, but I am dedicated to this task. Please be warned that accepted fanon such as head canons, ships, etc., are going to be left out unless strongly supported by the text. Which, unfortunately for me, means no Wolfstar, no Dean/Seamus, no Bellamort, definitely no twincest, and no Neville/Luna. I am trying to stick to the base material as best as I possibly can and give you the fantasy world that J. K. Rowling created.
I decided to write a random bio about me and writing.
I want to be a published author one day. That's why I get so many reviews saying that I have a "good grasp on the English language", because I spend so much time working on the way I write. So, in my opinion, I have a pretty good idea of when my writing is good and when it flat out sucks. I once got a PM saying I write like J. K. Rowling herself...you have no idea how flattered I was! I kindly had to tell them that they were insane, but still, flattered. :)
That being said, I get a LOT of PMs asking me if I'll beta. Please, even on the Internet I'm very introverted. You HAVE to continually harass me and if I offer to beta something for you, then you must KEEP harassing me. If I reply and you suddenly stop replying for days at a time, then I'm probably not going to beta for you again. Please also note that I am a senior in high school (equivalent to an upper sixth year in a UK school), so this time is very chaotic for me.
Writing is the only thing that I take seriously, and I also spend entirely too much time on the Internet. Thus, when I go to college (university) next year, I plan on majoring in journalism with a minor in computer sciences. What I want to do with my life, besides write books, is to run a website, similar to the Huffington Post in setup but with solely one writer (myself) and with a writing style similar to the writing of the Daily Show with Jon Stewart.
I also have a blog! Yes, I use Tumblr, but I wanted to have a personal blog as well; my Tumblr is filled with entirely too much Harry Potter and far too many cats. You can find my blog. Yes, I am also annoyed by the additional y's in the URL, but every other combination for that URL was taken.
