Gray Flame- AU. Characters Human. Silver: the nicest and popular guy in school. Blaze: the new girl who never had any friends. Their lives are going to change forever, and it all started with a game of dodgeball. Main Pairing: Silvaze. Other Pairings: Sonamy, Knuxouge, Taiream, and more in the future.
Why did I write "Gray Flame": This came to my mind while my sister was on my laptop, finishing up her fanfic in mid-July, which made me think If she can write a fanfic, so can I! I've read several Sonic High School fanfics in this site, and while they were interesting to read, I felt that some of them had characters that were OOC (Out of Character), which I clearly dislike. Also, I've never seen the main characters as humans or focus on other characters besides the main two, and I thought I can give it a go. Also with high school stories, they always feature Sonamy (don't get me wrong, I love this pairing) or Shadamy (still mixed on that pairing, but I don't hate it), and it kind of gets on my nerves, and I wanted to do a Silvaze high school fanfic just to be unique. Thus, "Gray Flame" was born!
Escape from The City- AU. Sette Smeraldi City: the most perfect city in the whole world. That's what everyone thinks. Except 16-year-old Jet Hawkins. He thinks this city is 'too perfect' and always wonder why this city is the way it is today everyday. How will he get his answers? From a blue Chaos Emerald, his history teacher, and being aided by the biggest rebel of this city: Wave Swallow.
Why did I write "Escape from The City": Most of it was inspired by "The Giver", "The One Who Walk Away From Omelas", and listening soundtrack music from Puella Magi Madoka Magica (highly recommended). Since "Gray Flame" is the soft romance/friendship story, I wanted to write a dark drama/action story set in the future with a unique cast of characters. And like "Gray Flame", I always see Sonic and friends being the main stars on Action stories, and since I don't see too much Action stories starring Jet/Wave (since they're the main characters of the story), I wanted to give it a shot. Plus, I wanted to test out if I can write an action story very well like I can write a romance story. So if you like "Gray Flame", give "Escape from The City" a chance!
Disturbia- Charmy and Marine are two different people from two different teams who have one common goal: get rid of the group who took away their loved ones. But like most goals, it's not going to be easy to reach for the two.
Why did I write "Disturbia": Honestly, this came in mind when I wanted to write a crime/action story. However, I had trouble thinking of the main two leads in the story and I didn't want to go to the cliché Sonic and Amy or Shadow and Amy, so I wanted to find characters that I think that don't have too much attention in fanfics. And once I found out that that there were barely any fanfics that stars Charmy and Marine (there is one, but it's in Spanish), I decided that these two should become the main characters in my story. After that, the plot slowly came in my mind. Oh, and this story is going to be more darker than my other two stories, so if you're into that type of stuff, go ahead and enjoy. Or if you're a fan of any of my fanfics, do the same thing. No one is there to stop you.
Upcoming Stories (Ideas):
A Mario & Star Fox Crossover: I really had this idea stuck in my head for years, and never seen one as far as I'm concerned. Might need some work as of now.
gamerprincess13's Recommendations (fanfics, web series, comics, books, anime, etc.):
(Basically, this list is about what I think is great, that I want you guys to check them out! And the list will be updated. Just saying.)
Not Another Love Story by Cascore (Mario fanfic): This story is a High School AU story featuring Luigi and Daisy (my favorite Mario couple), and my all time favorite story with them. Not to mention it's my main motivation to write a High School story to begin with. His writing style is unique, focuses on other characters besides the main two, and keeps you wanting for more. Even though this story is still incomplete, you should check this out.
Behind Amber Eyes by x- The Devil's Advocate- x (Sonic fanfic):A yaoi story that focuses on Vector and Espio. I thought I might not like this story (no, I'm not against yaoi) but after seeing this story a couple of times on Fanfic, I decided to see what makes this fanfic so great (due to it's high reviews). I've read a few chapters, and began to like it since the story is sweet and Espio's story is so tragic (damn you abusive cousin). Not to mention the author updates this story frequently (how does she do it is beyond me). A really sweet yaoi story with it's sweet, funny, and sad moments. The story is being re-uploaded, so for those who wants to read it, you can! Hurray! ...Or not as the author passed away early October... May you rest in peace...
Rogue Fox Armageddon Soul by SyxxFox (Star Fox fanfic): I don't know where to begin with this fanfic. This is the first fanfics I've gotten addicted to, and I've read this when I was 11 years old. And to date, I still look at it and relive my memories as a middle school student, patiently waiting for the next chapter to come out so I can see how this story would end. There's a sequel to this story, though I haven't been looking at it too much. A really great story full with action and drama, it'll leave you begging for more.
: "An unlikely hero... In an unlikely scenario..." I came across this when I was only twelve years old, and thought to myself "This is going to be an interesting machinima to watch", as it features Bowser (of all characters) as the star. It tells the story of Bowser and his teammates, Peach and Meta Knight, competing in a tournament called "Smash King" (hence the title). While competing, things from Bowser's past starts to appear again, and is involved in a plot to destroy the world of Brawl. Interesting plot with a unique set of characters you'd never expect to be the main characters in a Brawl machinima (such as Bowser, Wario, Sonic, etc.). A great series to watch!
Yes, LPS stands for Littlest Pet Shop (those small and adorable toys). Really, I never thought using LPS toys for a teen drama could work out that well. LPS: Popular tells the story about Savannah 'Savvy' Reed who's a new student to the Orange County Day (OCD for short) and dreams to reunite with her BFF Brooklyn 'Brooke' Hayes who moved three years ago, only to find out she's popular and the Queen Bitch of the school, not wanting to be friends with Savvy anymore. Now, Savvy and her two new best friends try to take down Brooke's empire and be the new queens of the school. However, with problems with boys, drama from Brooke, and eating disorders, this ain't going to be easy. A really good watch, currently on it's 2nd season.
Death Battle by Screwattack: Get this idea: two characters that are similar go against each other to the fight to the death. Sounds fun, right? Hell yeah it does! Not to mention entertaining! They go into great detail on their character (and use real world facts... shown their work a lot) before the battle starts, and then use those facts mention in the breakdown in the battle! And yes, Goku vs Superman is already there... Currently on their second season.
Shrek (first movie): An ogre, in order to regain his swamp, travels along with an annoying donkey in order to bring a princess to a scheming lord, wishing himself King. One of my all time favorite movies ever since I was five years old, and even though the movie is more than ten years old, it still brings me back to my childhood memories. Funny, romantic, yet sad at the same time, this movie is one that touches everyone's hearts. The sequels however... That's another story...
Wreck-it-Ralph: A video game villain wants to be a hero and sets out to fulfill his dream, but his quest brings havoc to the whole arcade where he lives. The first time I saw the trailer to the movie while watching Brave on my 16th birthday, I knew I had to watch this movie because it has tons of video game references in there :D (including Sonic, Bowser, Ryu, Pac Man, etc.)! Not to mention that it has the best quotes I've heard in a kids movie: "I'm bad, and that's good. I will never be good, and that's not bad. There's no one I'd rather be than me." Very touchy. Recommended to all video game lovers, new and old.
Puella Magi Madoka Magica: This anime is about a 14-year old girl name Madoka Kaname who's life changed when a creature named Kyubey offers her and her best friend, Sayaka Miki, an offer to have any wish granted if they become magical girls and defeat evil creatures call witches (not the ones with the pointy hats and broom sticks). However, transfer student Homura Akemi doesn't want Madoka to make the contract for a good reason. This may seem like your ordinary magical girl series at first, but once you hit Episode 3, you'll be like this: O_o (WTF?!). After that, every episode will leave you in a cliffhanger! 12 episodes, all on Crunchyroll, and it's amazing. Go watch it and be amazed by it's brilliance!
Neon Genesis Evangelion: This sci-fi anime takes place in a future city named Tokyo-3 in the year 2014 where 14-year-old Shinji Ikrai is chosen to pilot a robot called an Evangelion (or EVA for short) and fight against creatures named Angels in order to prevent the destruction of humanity. Sounds like a simple plot, right? Yes, until you hit around the half-way point where things start to grow creepy and disturbing. The story is unique and unpredictable (that's a good thing), every characters (even the minor characters) have well-rounded personalities and backgrounds, and the music is amazing! And like with Madoka, you'll never think the Mecha genre the same way again. Most anime sites have this anime and if you do find it in either English or Japanese, go ahead and watch all 26 episodes!
Serial Experiments Lain: 14-year old Lain Ikakura is an ordinary girl with little knowledge of computers... until she received an e-mail from a classmate named Chisa who committed suicide, saying she killed herself because she didn't need her body and exists in 'The Wired'. When Lain asked why, Chisa claimed with: "Because God is here". After that, Lain's life starts to change. At first, I didn't want to watch this series since I thought it would be boring, but after watching the first two episodes, I was instantly hooked! The story, the characters, and the animation was brilliant! Yes, the story can be confusing, but the creator intended to do that (just like with Slaughterhouse 5), which is what makes this anime unique! Recommended for those who are into cyberpunk anime.
