Author has written 4 stories for Vampire Diaries, and White Collar.
I critically review every story I read. This is not to be mean, but to help people improve as writers. I do make it a point to add both positive and critical points in all of my reviews. I know that getting reviews that say nothing more than "Great job!" can make you feel warm and fuzzy on the inside, but constructive criticism helps more in the long run, trust me. c: I would encourage everyone to get a beta-reader - or at least a friend - to read through your story once to pick out any mistakes. Beta Readers would be better for noticing any OOC and would be a bit more critical, of course. I'm open to being a Beta Reader, if anyone wants me. I'm currently not available to be an official FF Beat Reader because I lack some of the requirements, but you can PM me and we can set something up.
Why?: Because I've been noticing a few things that have been happening in FF. I've noticed that some of the more pointless stories that are usually terribly written with "C" rated humour will get way more publicity than a story that is more beautifully created with an interesting plot and even more hilarious will hardly get any reviews. I've also noticed that there are a lot of stories which could be really great if the authors took some time to clean up their writing and learn a thing or two. (My biggest pet peeve is when writers don't create a new paragraph for a new speaker. Haha.)
With that said, I of course would love some constructive criticism on my stories too. (-:
Any stories that I thoroughly enjoy will be on my favorites list (obviously) and I encourage you to check them out.
