Author has written 5 stories for Castlevania, Harry Potter, F.E.A.R., Final Fantasy I-VI, and Evil Within.
I'm just another fanfic writer. My pen name has changed twice since I joined this site back in 2010. Follow me at Rhodeswesterfeld.tumblr.com if you use Tumblr. If you want to show support for my writing, please leave reviews. They help me know that I have an audience.
This is FAN-fiction, not CANON-fiction. [Copy to your profile if you agree.]
Bold words without context. Years ago, one of my fanfics was targeted by a troll who disliked fanon to the point where they felt it was justified to bully any fanfic writer who didn't write canon things strictly as portrayed in canon. I coined this phrase as my version of "I bite my thumb at thee!".
Disclaimer: thus applies to all current and future fanfics that I post on this account.
I do not make any profit from any fan fiction that I post on this account. All rights to any canon character, plot, or other source material belong to their respective owners.
I'm allowing anonymous reviews, though I highly advise that people don't abuse this system to be negative at me or other reviewers. Criticism is always welcome regarding my fanfic, however, I only ask that readers be respectful towards my plot/character ideas and writing style.
What I write doesn't reflect my own personal opinions or experiences. I know people will interrupt things their own way, yet I dislike assumptions being made about me for any reason based on anything I write.
All of my fanfiction will be written in an Americanized tone. Meaning I may not always use or be aware of proper terms, should a plot's setting take place in another country. My fanfic, The Mother who Lived, would be an example.
The Mother who Lived: one-shot, completed.
F.E.A.R. Within: crossover between F.E.A.R. and the Evil Within.
Rising from the Ashes: AU crossover between Final Fantasy 2 and its novelization, Muma no Meikyu. (Chapters 1 to 4 are being rewritten.)
The Mother who Lived: the one-shot seemed to get positive feedback. However, I currently am not working on a sequel.
-none at this time-
I doubt anyone would enjoy hearing about how I’m deeply regretful for not updating any of my fanfics. However, I haven’t had time or focus to get to my writing. Likely, I won’t have this freedom for another unknown number of months.
Long story short, real life has decided to hurl a lot of hardships at me. A major one requires that I become a caregiver. Another regards work and trying to make sure I keep things afloat.
You know, the usual things I guess any adult faces.
Hopefully, updates won’t be a once-yearly thing. I’ll try to continue my current fanfics, and possibly throw in new series or one-shots, but there will be wait periods. Thank you, if you do follow my works.
