Well it's been over three and a half years since I updated my profile, and that seems a bit ridiculous, so here we go. First and foremost, I'd like to thank all of you. This coming spring, I will have been a member of ffn for six years, and in that time I have made a ton of wonderful friends. I've had the chance to learn and grow as a writer from some of you, and had the opportunity to nourish the new talent of others. The support of this community is mind blowing, and I could never express how thankful I am for your support and dedication.
A bit about me. I am wife and mother of two children. While I primary write femslash, I am bisexual and some I enjoy many different fandoms. My OTP has always been and will remain Hermione/Minerva, as once upon a time I was a Hermione-like girl, with far more interest in my studies than any teen has a right to be, and I fell in love with my female teacher - a woman thirty-eight years my senior, who still holds the bulk of my heart. I understand the Hermione/Minerva pairing very well, and many of my fics are inspired by personal experience. My second favorite pairing is Hermione/Severus - I also identify with the younger woman and older man dynamic, as my husband is twenty-nine years my senior. I have not found much success in age appropriate partners. I'm hoping to write more Hermione/Severus this year. Don't worry, ladies, I will not forget HG/MM.
Outside of fanfic, I'm an animal lover, a writer of my own things, including songs. I like to tinker on cars and computers, and I've very handy otherwise. I've never had to call a plumber, electrician, or anything of that sort. I've always just done things myself. I enjoy a good game of chess, and I am very good at Scrabble. I also get knee deep in debate often enough, though it's more likely to be a debate about something Nerdy (Janeway vs Princess Leia, who would win?) than anything religious or political. I have opinions on those things too, of course, but I find few people are willing to go the "agree to disagree" route in such debates, and I don't find that sort of argument to be worth my time and energy.
I think that's all for now. Again, thank you all for your support.
Always, Sela McGrane
NOTE: You may have noticed that a good chunk of my fics have been removed from my account. No, I have not been hacked. I decided to pull down ones that were either a) incomplete and I have no idea if or when I'll get back to them, or b) really bad for one reason or another, and I just don't want them up anymore, at least until I find time for a rewrite. Just wanted to post a memo so there's no confusion.
