Author has written 18 stories for Kim Possible.
I first created a Fanfiction.net account in 2010 after many years reading here off and on so that I could finally review stories for all those people that don't allow "anonymous" reviews. And that's all I did... at first.
I wasn't sure if I was going to post any stories on the site myself. I'm a very private person by nature. Although I'm a writer by profession, I hadn't shared any writing not related to my job with anyone for years. Encouragement from friends I made here and figuring I may as well start doing instead of dreaming had me finally take the plunge, publishing 'Growing Older, Growing Together' and then more stories after it. Below this bio you can see my stories, where I offer up a few pieces for your consideration (and there is more on the way). Many of my stories starting with that first one are in a shared, continuous story universe where I'm jumping around in time to earlier or later in Kim and Ron's lives. It should be fairly obvious which of these stories are linked when you read them. A few of my stories are marked as stand-alones in the description since they obviously don't fit the normal sequence of events I've written and let me explore other ideas.
Other Kim Possible fanfiction I've written: I wrote an "Episode Kicker" for the Kim Possible episode "Sick Day" which you can read here.
Contests I've participated in or won: I contributed an entry to the sixth "Guess the Author" contest, which you can now find in my posted stories as 'Ron's Big Date!' I've contributed other stories to contests as well, among them 'Reunited Friends, Remembered Fame,' '2011,' 'A Very Possible Christmas Night,' 'Always be Polite to a Lady,' 'A Very Stoppable Christmas Night,' and 'Anniversary.' All can be found in my posted stories below.
In all I've been one of two winners for a "Fannie Award" for my story 'Some More Drama' and a winner of several Fannies in the 2011 competition held in 2012. Most recently 'Anniversary' won a contest for stories submitted for the tenth anniversary of the show. Thanks to everyone for voting for my stories and for all the readers who've given me a chance so far.
Friends on the site: I owe debts of gratitude to many people I've met through this site, and naming just a few would be a disservice to everyone else. But I have to give major thanks to waveform and Michael Howard for really influencing how I view Kim and Ron, in canon or in fanfiction, and Pinky Jo Curlytail and Earl Allison for their friendship and their encouragement in getting, and then staying on, this crazy boat. Y'all remind me why I like this show, keep me grounded, keep me sane, etc. Finally, Reader101w shows me that the writer - beta reader relationship can offer all sorts of potential for fun discussion of what the characters would or wouldn't say or do.
My profile picture: I'd like to thank m-angela for this commissioned piece representing what Kim and Ron look like in my story 'Growing Older, Growing Together' (and elsewhere in its series). m-angela is a fantastic artist and you can find her work on DeviantArt. Per our agreement, I'm allowed to link to and use this piece on my profile and she's allowed to include this piece in her DeviantArt works since she's the artist. I wouldn't have it any other way. Please go view the full size of the image on her profile. You'll notice my avatar on the site is based on a cropped version of it that really does it no justice at all.
I hope you enjoy my stories. I would love to hear your thoughts in reviews, including any negative criticisms you may have so I improve in areas where I'm weaker. I've dished it out; I can take it. Cheers! - Slipgate
