Not much to say up here, really. I like to write, I love to read, and stories are my lifeblood.
Favorite Story Moments (added as I find 'em):
Criminal Minds: Hotch gets off the phone with a perky Garcia and mutters under his breath, "Remind me to have her drug tested."
Supernatural: Dean: "These fish tacos taste funny to you?"
Vorkosigan-verse Brothers in Arms: Miles: "Three cheers for literacy... I feel sick." Galeni (cautiously unplugging his ears): "What was that?" Miles: "The play, or the drug?" Galeni: "I recognized the play, thank you. What was the drug?"
Supernatural: Sam (reading): "Huh. Survival Under Atomic Attack. An optimist."
The Adventures of Robin Hood: Robin: "It's so odd. He looks exactly like your twin brother." Friar Tuck: "Oh, that's impossible. Edgar's been dead for years." Robin: "...who's Edgar?" Tuck: "My twin brother."
Doctor Who: Sally: "I like old things. They make me feel sad." Kathy: "What's good about sad?" Sally: "It's happy for deep people."
Supernatural: Famine: "All you can eat, all the time. Consume, consume... A swarm of locusts in stretch pants. And yet, you're all still starving. Because... Hunger doesn't just come from the body, it also comes from the soul."
"Jesus Friend of Sinners" Song by Casting Crowns: "Nobody knows what we're for, only what we're against when we judge the wounded. What if we put down our signs, crossed over the lines, and loved like You did?"
Supernatural: Sam walks in, sweaty after a run. Dean: "Something had better have been chasing you."
Sherlock: Watson: "I always hear 'Punch me in the face' when you're speaking, but it's usually subtext."
Robin Hood (BBC): Djaq: "I love you, you love me, we all love each other, drink the wine."
Vorkosigan-verse Mirror Dance: Cordelia: "Love, we are discussing a young man upon whom Barrayar laid so much unbearable stress, so much pain, he created an entire other personality to escape into. He then persuaded several thousand galactic mercenaries to support his psychosis, and on top of that conned the Barrayaran Imperium into paying for it all. I grant you he's a genius, but don't you dare try to tell me he's sane."
Supernatural: Meg Demon (to amnesiac Cas): "You're an angel." Amnesiac Cas: "I'm...sorry, is that a flirtation?" Meg (scornfully) "No, it's a species."
Downton Abbey: Earl of Grantham (to his daughter): "If I had made my own fortune and bought Downton for myself, it would be yours without question. But I did not. My fortune is the work of others, who laboured to create a great dynasty. Do I have the right to destroy their work, or impoverish that dynasty? I am a custodian, not an owner. I must strive to be worthy of the task I have been set."
Chalion: Ista: "So I pray the gods may hear even me, and let my whispered yes tower above my shouted no..."
Lie to Me: Lightman: "Yoga. That's that thing you do in a lounge chair with a mai-tai in your hand, right?"
Firefly: Wash: "So you're saying she's psychic? That sounds like something out of science fiction." Zoe: "You live in a spaceship, dear." Wash: "So?"
Heroes: (staring at a painting where Hiro is fighting a T-Rex with a sword) Hiro: "Oh no! What if I step on a bug? I could change history." Ando: "Change history? You're gonna die!"
Downton Abbey: Isobel Crawley: "You make me sound quite fervent." Dowager Countess: "My dear, wars have been waged with less fervor."
Beastly: Will: "Point being, how others look at me doesn't matter. It's about how I look at myself. Mental Rubik's cube, I know."
